supergoop unseen sunscreen review

I'm back with another SPF review and a very exciting one at that. Today I'm sharing my Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen review.

I've been dying to try Supergoop! for many years now and in particular, this very product. So now that Supergoop! is available at Selfridges here in the UK, as well as on Cult Beauty, it was time to finally give their Unseen Sunscreen a try.

And here's what I thought of it;

In terms of price, the smallest size (15ml) is £15, with the standard size (50ml) being £30. And they even have a Supersize (73.9ml) for £40. So if you try this and find that it works for you, it definitely makes sense to go for the larger sizes, price-wise.

If you hate white cast (that thick white lotion effect that many facial SPFs have), Unseen Sunscreen is definitely worth trying. Much like the Glossier Invisible Shield SPF, that I tried and reviewed a few months ago, it is completely clear.

This means that for darker skin tones, there is no need to rub and rub to get this to blend in with your colouring. It being completely clear truly is a gamechanger for those of us who probably don't wear SPF as often as they should, solely because of the amount of time that you have to spend rubbing thick white lotions in.

In terms of consistency it has a gel, almost silicone-like feel to it. It's quite difficult to capture it on camera but just think of a medium density gel/silicone-style primer and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

If you have especially oily skin, this will probably not be the SPF for you. But as someone with dry/dehydrated skin, I really like the way that this sits on my skin. It can feel a little greasy if I apply too much. But after a few applications, I've been able to judge exactly how much I need to use.

Because of that silicone-like feel, it does give your skin a makeup primer feel, which is why they recommend it as a great base for applying makeup over. I personally have been using this on completely bare skin. But once the world starts to get a bit more back to normal, I look forward to testing this out with foundation on top.

Another bonus for me is the fact that this is fragrance free. As much as I adore my Thank You Farmer Sun Cream, sometimes the fragrance can be a bit much.

I will say, I do wish that there was an SPF 50 version of this available. SPF 30 is kind of the bare minimum for me. But I really do enjoy this SPF enough that I can live with it being just SPF 30. But I have spied that Supergoop! do a few SPF 50 products, which I will no doubt be trying next.

Overall, this is a great non-white cast option that you'll actually want to apply. I've been using it for over a month now and it's kept me protected whilst also not breaking me out in spots or blemishes. And that truly is the marker of a great facial SPF for me.

So that's my Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen review.

I definitely can't wait to try more from Supergoop! and I already have my eye on the Glow Stick and Play, which are both SPF 50.

Have you tried Supergoop! before? If so, what did you think? And do you like the sound of a completely clear SPF?
