Even though I have far too many perfumes, fragrances and hair and body mists, I find myself reaching for the Sol de Janeiro perfume mists on a weekly, if not daily, basis. And when I was picking out which one to take with me on my next trip away I realised that I'd actually tried every single one of them, at least the ones that are available to buy at the moment. I definitely missed out on a few of the very interesting sounding limited edition scents in the past. So, today I thought I would share my thoughts on each of them and do a bit of a ranking, too.
With most being available in both 90ml and 240ml sizes, I went for the 90ml for each, as they're the ideal size for taking on holiday with you. Which is what I tend to do, as it instantly reminds me of where I visited whenever I spray it. The only thing that makes it a bit bulky, especially if you're doing hand luggage only and are short on space to begin with, is the cap. But I can certainly overlook that, especially when you consider how good they look lined up on my perfume shelf.

SHOP THE POST
Priced at £24 and £38, respectively, there truly is a Sol de Janeiro perfume mist for everyone and every occasion. So, in order of my absolute favourites to the ones that I reach for more sparingly, here's my review of each one.

Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 68 Perfume Mist
Possibly the most hyped Sol de Janeiro perfume mist, and for good reason, is Cheirosa 68. Often seen as a much more affordable dupe for Baccarat Rouge 540, this is easily my most worn Sol de Janeiro fragrance mist. And it's the most floral out of the range, too. Combining notes like pink dragonfruit, Brazilian jasmine and hibiscus, it's easy to see why so many people love this one. Plus, once you've smelled it, I guarantee you'll smell it everywhere you go, it's that popular.
Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62 Perfume Mist
For many this will most likely be the original Sol De Janeiro perfume mist. With the exact same fragrance as their iconic Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, this just smells of summer to me. And it tends to be the mist that I pack whenever I go somewhere warm and sunny, which is why it's come with me to Florida and Rhodes in the past. It will forever be one of my absolute favourites and is one that I reach for year after year. So, if you're not sure which perfume mist to start with, you really can't go wrong with Cheirosa 62.

Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 59 Perfume Mist
Quickly becoming a contender for my favourite Sol de Janeiro perfume mist at the moment, Cheirosa 59 is the perfect warm but sweet scent. It almost reminds me of toasted marshmallows, in the very best way. And I truly can't get enough of it when I spray it, so much so that I often find myself giving my wrists a quick sniff throughout the day. Combining vanilla orchid, sugared violet and sandalwood, you simply have to give a spritz the next time that you're out shopping.
Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 48 Perfume Mist
A new discovery for me, with it being exclusive to LOOKFANTASTIC here in the UK, is the Cheirosa 48 scent. And I can't wait to take it with me on my summer holiday this year. There's a really lovely hint of coconut, while still being quite fruity and musky, making it the perfect one to wear in the warm weather. But to be honest, I think that can be said for almost all of the Sol de Janeiro perfume mists, if we're being honest.

Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 76 Perfume Mist
Sol de Janeiro's first real foray into more of an evening-appropriate perfume, Cheirosa 76 has a seriously sophisticated edge to it. Originally released as the limited edition After Hours Perfume Mist, it's back for good and has a wonderful blend of fruity, floral and warm notes. It's also one of the strongest, when applying to the skin, lasting all day or evening long.
Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 71 Perfume Mist
Now, let me start by saying that I love a super sweet vanilla-based aroma, but I do need to be in the mood to grab Cheirosa 71 as it is essentially caramelised vanilla, toasted macadamia nuts and white chocolate combined to make it one of the most sugary scents that I have in my fragrance collection. And that truly is saying something when I probably have at least six vanilla perfumes. It is incredibly strong and really packs a punch, with it being a great choice for the autumn months in particular, which is when I tend to wear it. Basically, if you love dulce de leche-like scents, you simply need to try this one out.

Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 87 Perfume Mist
Another great option if you're jetting off on your holidays is the Cheirosa 87 scent. Previously known as Rio Radiance before they rebranded to the numbers that are on the bottle today, this basically smells like sun tan lotion in a bottle, but in the very best way. With notes of creamy coconut milk, sand, vanilla, amber and white florals, it just screams beach day. And it dries down to such a lovely scent.
Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 40 Perfume Mist
While Cheirosa 40 is the perfume mist that I reach for least, I know so many will love it. Matching the rest of the Bom Dia Bright range, which I do really rate, it's a rich floral with top notes of black amber plum and crème de cassis. The florals come in the form of jasmine blooms and Brazilian orchid, while vanilla woods and warm musk round out the scent profile. I would say that it has that warmth to it, if that's something you look for from a fragrance and like the rest of the perfume mists, lasts a good number of hours on the skin or hair.

So, there's my roundup of all the Sol de Janeiro perfume mists that are currently available.
Have you tried any of the Sol de Janeiro perfume mists? If so, which one or ones are your favourite? And have any of them now caught your eye?
