I've done a few of these blog posts now, namely when I tried every Sol de Janeiro fragrance mist and every Glossier Balm Dot Com (that was available at the time anyway). And after working on a roundup of the best Phlur fragrances for IndyBest, I wanted to share my thoughts on their fragrance mists in particular.
Available from Space NK and Selfridges here in the UK (with a few products popping up at Anthropologie, too), I would always recommend paying your local store a visit before blind buying fragrances or perfumes online. As sometimes what sounds like your kind of thing can be very different in person or even on your skin compared to someone else's. But, hopefully you'll be able to get an idea from my reviews below.
SHOP THE POST
Priced at £25 for the smaller travel size and £38 for the full size, they're a great price for what you get. You can also layer the fragrances to create your very own unique aromas, which is a nice touch, with most of them working well alongside one another. For example, you simply have to try spritzing some Heavy Cream alongside their Strawberry Letter perfume.
But, back to the fragrance mists, here they are ranked, from my very favourite to the ones that I don't reach for as often.

Heavy Cream
My absolute favourite Phlur fragrance, without a doubt, has got to be Heavy Cream. And as someone who loves sweet, almost edible scents, this was probably always going to be a winner with me. With top notes of lemon sugar, marshmallow and orange, and base notes of vanilla mousse, salted caramel and whipped cream, you might begin to understand why I adore this as much as I do. There's even a little hint of coconut cream, which I can't get enough of. It's gourmand in the very best way. And unlike some of the others in this list, which definitely lean more towards the warmer weather, Heavy Cream can certainly be worn all year round.
Beach Skin
If there is such a thing as summer in a bottle, it's Beach Skin. As soon as you take your first sniff it instantly transports you to warmer climates, with it immediately reminding me of being slathered in sun cream and lying on the beach. Combining sandalwood, salt, bergamot and coconut milk with pink pepper and tiare blossoms, I have a feeling if you already like Ouai's St Bart's scented products, you will love this. And despite having the full size, I will definitely be investing a mini size to take with me on my next beach holiday, that's for sure.

Peach Skin
Now, I would never have thought that I would be so drawn to a peach-based fragrance. In fact, I don't think I've ever smelled one until now. But Peach Skin is so, so good. Incredibly juicy and sweet, without being too much, I haven't been able to get enough of it since I gave it that first spray. It's basically a peach bellini cocktail in a bottle, which I love. And, it includes many of the scents that you'll see with their own dedicated mist below, such as coconut, caramel and amber, but all blended into one must-try fragrance.
Mrs Smith
When I first saw that Phlur were releasing an apple based fragrance mist, I did wonder whether it was going to take me back to my teenage years and the iconic DKNY apple perfumes. But, as you might begin to realise from what Phlur tends to focus on, this is much sweeter than what I remember of those ones. And I can't quite explain it, but this is like apple sweets and apples pumped up to the max, instead of a more refreshing scent, which is very much my thing. I think the watermelon note is maybe responsible for that, but this is one you need to get spritzing ASAP, is all I can say.

Dragon Fruit
I don't think that I would have necessarily been drawn to this one by the name alone, yet you won't want to skip it if you're having a sniff of the Phlur fragrances at your local Space NK. It's definitely more of a summery scent and it actually reminds me of a fruity cocktail in the very best way. It's also one of the stronger aromas, out of all the mists. So, if you're looking for one which truly packs a punch, look no further. I personally love wearing this one in my hair.
Vanilla Nectar
Now, I know that Vanilla Skin is often the standout and most popular of Phlur's fragrances, both when it comes to their mists and eau de parfums. But, personally, Vanilla Nectar is the winner for me. That might be because I love super sweet scents and this almost smells like candy. But, given that this is one of their latest releases, I love to see that they just keep innovating and adding a fun spin to what are classic fragrances like vanilla. I've been wearing it most of summer and just adore the combination of vanilla and sweetness.

Coconut Skin
This smells exactly as you would expect it to. And before Beach Skin was released, this would have scored much higher in my rankings. But now that I get some of my coconut fix in that mist, I haven't necessarily been reaching for Coconut Skin quite as much. It is a pure coconut scent, which just screams holidays and sunshine, and it has a warmth to it which I appreciate. I think that might have something to do with its sandalwood and salted amber base notes. Let's just say, it's definitely one to check out if you're looking for a fragrance to take on your holidays.
Vanilla Skin
Even though I'm a massive vanilla fragrance fan, what Phlur does so well is blend vanilla with some other beautiful and complementary scents, which is why the pure Vanilla Skin doesn't rank higher. Although, if that's what you're looking for, I can see this being a big hit with many. It's also the one bottle that always seems to be out of stock at Space NK whenever I have a look. So, that just proves how popular it is. And I especially like the blend of sandalwood and pink pepper that always pairs so well with vanilla.

Mango Mood
Another great fruity fragrance, Mango Mood is more complex than you might imagine. Obviously, it does smell strongly of mangos, but it also has other fruity and warm notes so that it's not too sweet, which is nice. As it starts to dry down and wear you can pick up blackcurrants, something sugary and even some jasmine and patchouli, which makes it much more than the one note fragrance you might expect. Plus, it pairs brilliantly with Vanilla Skin, like so many of the mists do.
Amber Haze
If you're looking for more of a musky and warm fragrance, Amber Haze is exactly that. In fact, I am definitely looking forward to wearing this one over autumn and into winter as it is just so comforting. It also reminds me of Sol De Janeiro's Cheirosa 68 a bit, so if that's your go-to fragrance from them, you might want to give this one a try next. It is maybe one of the more subtle scents, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Moonstone
Now, while you might have an idea what to expect when you see the name of a Phlur fragrance, Moonstone isn't quite as self explanatory. However, again, it's one that you won't want to miss. It has an almost candy-like smell to it, which I'm a fan of, alongside fruits like pineapple, green apple, mandarin orange and blackcurrant, as well as vanilla and amber. It's quite a mishmash, but somehow it works. The only reason that it doesn't score higher is that Vanilla Nectar is my favourite of the candy-style fragrances.
Vanilla Smoke
By now you know I love a vanilla based scent. However, as someone who doesn't like the smell of smoke (other than, weirdly, the smell of a candle being blown out – seriously, someone needs to bottle that scent), it's probably not too surprising that I didn't love Vanilla Smoke. It does dry down to have a nice vanilla base, but I just can't get over the smokiness that it leaves behind. I know some will love this combination, but it just isn't for me.

Caramel Skin
This was a surprise for me, because I am all about an edible smelling scent. However, Caramel Skin almost has a burnt smell to it, which I don't like. You can definitely smell the caramel notes, yet, there's a bit of a bitter finishing note which I just can't escape, sadly. But I would still recommend giving it a smell to see if it works for you.
Have you tried any of the Phlur fragrance mists? Or Phlur more generally? And which one sounds like your kind of fragrance?
