This year I'm really trying to think about what I buy. Not that I didn't previously. But I'm going to go out of my way to not buy, buy, buy this year. So I will be taking on a bit of a no buy 2020 challenge. In a bid to save space and money, my aim is to only buy when I truly need something (I run out of deodorant, for example). Or when the seasons change. This applies more to clothing and accessories. But hopefully you get what I mean.
I sometimes get overwhelmed by the amount of 'stuff' I have in my now rather cramped bedroom. And I wanted to make a real effort to change the way I think when I shop. Not renewing my ASOS Premier Delivery or ordering more than I'll keep with the intention of sending things back is how I'm hoping to tackle fashion. Beauty is a trickier beast though. But not undoable. And I have seen others pledge to do a beauty no buy 2020. So hopefully I can do the same.
That doesn't mean that I won't be blogging about beauty this year, quite the contrary. I'm hoping that I'll feel more inspired by shopping my own collection. I'm also in a position where I receive new launches to review, which are always marked with a * when gifted.
I decided to do one final beauty haul, basically because quite a few new products launched that I really wanted to try. And I'm going to try to buy nothing or very little until then, using the no buy 2020 challenge to spur me on.

So here is what should be my last beauty haul for a while;
REN Perfect Canvas Clean Jelly Oil Cleanser* (£25)
New from REN and part of their Perfect Canvas range, we have the Clean Jelly Oil Cleanser. For me, oil cleansers remove makeup the best, particularly heavy duty eye makeup. But a completely oil formula can make it tricky to dispense the right amount or a bit messy. So this being a jelly formulation, with all the benefits of an oil cleanser, makes it an instant winner for me.
Omorovicza Refining Facial Polisher (£18)
I opted for the smaller travel size of this 5 star rated product as the full size is a whopping £60. In a way, I hope I don't like it too much as that price is somewhat off-putting. But I've only heard good things about this physical exfoliator.
Glow Recipe Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream (£36)
As the new year approached I was actually counting down the days until I could order this and the next item in today's blog post. I've been desperate to try Glow Recipe for a while now. But I had been somewhat restrained until I heard that they were releasing a moisturiser. And one designed to help excessively dry skin at that. I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of impact that has on my skin over the remaining colder months. I'll be sure to share my full thoughts at a later date.
Thank You Farmer Sun Project Water Sun Cream SPF50 (£18)
I'm always keen to try out new facial SPFs, so when I saw Kate La Vie feature this one in her 2019 favourites blog post, I had to add it to my online basket. I really need to stick to wearing SPF every single day, instead of just on sunny days. And hopefully this one will make doing that much easier.
Drunk Elephant F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial (£44)
Despite some really exciting launches over the past year (both the A-Passioni Retinol and the Slaai Butter Cleanser both sound great), neither jumped out as necessities in my routine. F-Balm on the other hand was an instant purchase. I need all the hydration that I can get and this has an incredible blend of replenishing ingredients. Hello new nighttime staple!
Kristin Ess Soft Shine Beach Wave Spray (£17)
When it comes to hair, there was really only one product on my wishlist and that was this spray from Kristin Ess. You've seen me rave about her haircare range in previous blog posts and I have high hopes that this will be the spray to make air drying/styling a breeze this year.
Bobbi Brown Luxe Liquid Lip Rich Metal in Precious Gem* (£28)
The next two items are completely inspired by products that I loved in the run up to Christmas. If you saw My Top Party Makeup Picks blog post, you will have seen the Bobbi Brown Luxe Liquid Lip Rich before and there are three new colours to coincide with the Lunar New Year.
I simply had to share this shade with you as it is honestly the dreamiest lip product that I have ever seen! I mean, look at that colour and all of that glitter!
Lush The Comforter Body Spray* (£20)
Do you have a favourite Lush scent? Is it Think Pink, Tramp, So White, Honey I Washed The Kids or another of their fabulous fragrances? Well, now you can own it in body spray form! Their Snow Fairy Body Spray was the only fragrance I was wearing over the festive period. And I am so happy to have a bottle to take me through the months when Snow Fairy is unavailable.
I would liken them more to a perfume than a body spray as the fragrance is so strong and lasts for hours, even on clothing or hair. And to say that I'm happy to be smelling like The Comforter all day everyday is a bit of an understatement!
Bubu Skincare #StripItOff Exfoliating Mask* (£7)
And last, but not least, we have a rather intriguing sheet mask that I was sent at the end of last year. But it only felt fitting to include it in today's blog post. I'm very much looking forward to how this works on my uneven skin texture and will of course let you know how I get on with it, most likely on my Instagram.
