For a while we've had quite a few bare walls in our house, most notably in the area where we spend the most of our time; the living room. So one of our goals, as a family, for 2020 was to put a bit more of our personality on show. And that's when we started browsing Desenio to create our own gallery wall.
If you've been reading Ellis Tuesday for a while now, you will remember that I've given several of the rooms in our house a makeover with Desenio's prints in the past.
So I wanted to show you just how easy it is to create your very own gallery wall, or get all the inspiration, by using Desenio's gallery wall tool.
You can choose the type of area you're looking to fill, along with how many prints and of which sizes, all at the click of a button. It also saves you having to try and imagine which combinations work or don't work for your space.
So here are the new pieces that we've added to our living room;
New York, New York
Our biggest blank wall was directly above our three seat sofa, so we knew that we were looking for multiple prints to fill up that space.
Last year my Mum visited New York for the very first time (see more of what we got up to here) and we're going back later this year as a family. So we knew that we had to incorporate our favourite place somehow. And that's how we decided upon New York, New York as our theme.
We already had one New York print to work with, which I previously had hung in my bedroom, as a starting point. Then we built around it. DUMBO and the Manhattan Bridge simply had to be included, as did my Dad's favourite New York skyscraper; the Chrysler Building and my favourite area in NYC; the Flatiron district.

Los Angeles
It's always been a dream of my Dad's, hopefully one that my parents will be making a reality next year to celebrate them turning 60, to drive Route 66 in America.
So he picked out two prints that immediately stood out to him, to sit above his chair. It also adds some much needed colour to our mainly grey, black and silver living room.
