If you saw my last blog post you will know that I'm attempting another low buy year, but that doesn't mean that I can't still have a little browse online or in-store. And with my birthday being at the start of February/right around Valentine's and Galentine's, this is a gift guide as well as what I would be very happy to unwrap as I turn a year older.
From fashion and beauty to items that I wouldn't ordinarily splurge on myself, here's what you could treat yourself or your beloved to this February.

Anything from Anthropologie's Valentine's range
Anthropologie always smash it out of the park with their seasonal offerings, and Valentine's is always my favourite time of year to have a wander around their beautiful store. And spend quite a bit of time scrolling through all the new additions online. What can I say, I love a heart print design.
At the top of my list this year is the iconic Fiona Beaded Bag in Hearts. I mean, how stunning is it? And it's the perfect bag to take with you on a special occasion or a night out. I'm also obsessed with all their Valentine's drinkware and dinnerware. I'm especially fond of this set. I just know that my hot chocolate would taste all the better in that gorgeous heart emblazoned mug, that's for sure.

The new Jo Malone Care Collection
I'm trying to get better at carving out some time for myself where I properly relax, and after getting a chance to try it out in-store a week or so ago, I am so on board with Jo Malone's new Care Collection. Surprisingly affordable, yet featuring the most incredible fragrance blends that the brand are known for, I was blown away by the Enrich Body Balm. Of course I was going to end up loving the spendiest item in the range, as well as the brilliant Revitalise Exfoliating Soap. And I think these products would just make the perfect self care treat for anyone looking to slow down a bit more in 2026.
A La Bonne Brosse hairbrush
Firmly in the 'I wouldn't ordinarily spend over £100 on a hairbrush but would love to receive one as a gift', are the La Bonne Brosse brushes. And why can't I get the limited edition Queen of Hearts style out of my head. It might not be something you'd buy for yourself, which makes it the perfect gift idea and what a special one at that. It's also the kind of item that will last you for years, or decades, if you take good care of it. So, girl math?!
A new dressing gown
Who else practically lives in their dressing gown at this time of year? Well, if yours or theirs could do with a bit of an upgrade, I've linked to a few of my favourites above.

Something practical but beautiful
If, like me, your jewellery is spread across multiple dishes, trinket trays and bags, I think a jewellery case would make such a lovely gift. And how stunning is this Colours of Arley x Daisy London option? As a journalist who focuses a lot on homes and interiors, I am forever in awe of all things Colours of Arley, so to have a little piece of their stunning stripes in my home while I (im)patiently wait to buy my first home, is a win win.
A bookish gift that isn't more books
And for avid readers, who definitely don't need any more physical books (it's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me), how fantastic are these book club ceramic book ends from Oliver Bonas? If you don't know already, I actually run a book club in Glasgow, so these would be such a nice addition to my bookshelf, but any book lover would no doubt adore them too. I also love that they now come in a blue striped version as well as the green piped ones.
So, those are just a few of the gifts that I would love to receive, even if I have been single each and every Valentine's Day.
What's on your wishlist at the moment? Do you have any Valentine's or Galentine's plans this year? And what do you think of my picks?
