Back in 2017, after turning 25 years old, I put together a 30 before 30 list.
I may have ticked off 10 of those goals. But I was definitely too concerned with what I 'should' be doing at this age, in that original list. I mean, if I'm totally honest, I have no desire to learn how to drive at all. It's just not something that I want to do. YouTube wasn't my thing either so any goals regarding that are now pretty much defunct. I'm also not putting pressure on myself to hit big life milestones. Like falling in love or moving out of the family home. It will happen when it happens.
So I simply had to revisit that original 30 before 30 list and make it much more realistic.
I've updated the list to reflect the goals that I've already achieved. Plus there are now some brand new goals that I am much more inclined to achieve. And here they are;

What I've ticked off already...
Visit New York - Since adding this to my 30 before 30 list back in 2017, I've been twice (once on my own and once with my Mum). And I have plans to visit again later this year with my whole family.
Spend the 4th of July in America - I did this on my first trip to the city.
Spend more time in Edinburgh - I've now lost count of the amount of times that I've traveled through to the Scottish capital. I even stayed overnight a few times too.
Visit London - It may have only been for 24 hours but I still loved it all the same.
Read at least 6 books a year - Last year I read a total of 27 books, so consider this overachieved.
Invest in the comfiest of mattresses - My Leesa mattress is easily the comfiest mattress that I have ever slept on. It's such a worthwhile investment, especially when you consider how much of your life is spent in bed.
Spend a day at a spa - I checked this off my list when me and my Mum headed through to Edinburgh last year.
Get a massage - After years of never having had a massage, I've now had several. And I could definitely get used to making it a regular occurrence in my life.
Take my parents out for a fancy dinner - I've done this a few times now both in Florida and back home in Glasgow.
Massively streamline my wardrobe - After probably about a decade of only buying clothing when it was on sale. I now only buy items that really add something to my wardrobe/life. If something doesn't fit perfectly or serve a real purpose, it immediately gets returned. I can't tell you how much of a big difference streamlining has made to my relationship with shopping and buying new pieces.
...............................................................................................................................................................
What I've still to check off...
Take a photograph every day for a year - As I said in my original 30 before 30, doing this the year before I turn 30 makes the most sense to me.
Spend my actual 30th birthday somewhere warm and sunny - I'm not sure where in the world will actually be warm and sunny the second week of February. But it's time to do some research to make this a reality.
Be more comfortable with my cellulite - Ever since puberty, I've had a significant amount of cellulite on my thighs. I found out that no matter how much exercise I do or weight I lose, these dimples will always be there because of my poor circulation. So it's about time that I made peace with my body and embraced what I cannot change.
Find a pair of denims that actually properly fit me - I really don't wear denims all that often anymore, solely because none that I own fit quite right anymore. They're either too baggy around my back or all stretched out. I want to find a go-to pair of black and light wash jeans.
Focus more on creating travel content - Without a doubt, creating travel guides and blog posts make me so happy. Which is why I want to make this more of a focus on here. Plus, I have quite a few exciting trips planned/in the works and I cannot wait to share everything when I get back from them.
Wear SPF every day - No explanation needed, particularly as I get older.
Explore more of London - Even though I visited London last year, we were only there for one day. So we barely scratched the surface. Visiting Sky Garden, seeing Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and Westminster in person is at the top of my list for my next visit.
Have a Mickey pretzel at Walt Disney World - I need to make room for more snacks in my trips to Orlando.
Visit Disneyland Paris - I simply must meet The Aristocats (Marie is my absolute favourite Disney character) and Thumper/Miss Bunny. It breaks my heart every time that I'm WDW that these characters don't appear at any of the Florida parks.
Maintain a proper AM and PM skincare routine - It's time to truly whittle things down to the essentials, ones that will actually do something for my skin type and as I get older.

Go for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner at The Ivy - I attended the official press launch of The Ivy in Glasgow. And I have been dreaming of a return trip ever since. Maybe a birthday brunch on my 28th or 29th birthday could let me check this one off my list?
Go on a press trip to another country - I will truly feel like I've made it as a blogger when this happens. And it may or may not already be confirmed for this year. Eeeee!
Visit Rome - I cannot wait to live out my The Lizzie McGuire Movie fantasies and to eat all the gelato! I mean, when in Rome. Yup you can expect these kinds of Instagram captions twinned with 'this is what dreams are made of!'
Read the same amount of books a year as my age - So 28 books when I'm 28, 29 when I'm 29 and so on. Last year I read 27 books (whilst being 27), so it's definitely possible.
Stop saving things for best - I have all these beautiful pieces that I keep saving for a special occasion. When really, life is the special occasion. Queue me wearing a dress to the doctors. Or wearing a fabulous faux fur coat to run errands in, one day soon.
And actually document me wearing them - Whether it's just part of my 'take a photo every day for a year' goal. Or whether I actually start uploading more outfit posts on here and social media. I'd love to think more about fashion than my normal uniform of leggings/plisse trousers and a t-shirt.
Visit Los Angeles - So hopefully I should be able to group the next three points on my list into one trip. I'd love to spend a few nights in each city. I've got to see La La Land some time soon.
Visit San Francisco - I've always wanted to visit this sprawling city and see sights like the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Who else wants to do an American road trip one day?
Visit Las Vegas - This could possibly be a strong contender for somewhere to spend my 30th birthday that's warm and sunny. What do you think?
Figure out what I want to do as a career - Last but not least, it would be good to feel settled into a proper career path by the time I turn 30. Freelancing can be a struggle some days. And I also feel like I'm winging it a lot of the time. Maybe working somewhere part time and freelancing/blogging on the side might be the solution.
So there's my updated 30 before 30 list.
What do you think of my revised list? Do we share any similar goals? And what goals would you like to achieve in the next few years?
