Last month I did the first of my 'Introducing' blog posts, where I share a brand that is either new to the UK or that I hadn't heard of until now. And today I am sharing a skincare range all the way from New Zealand that has just launched in the UK. And that is Syrene Skincare.

To celebrate their UK launch, I was sent over a travel sized set of their products to put to the test. This set* includes minis of their hero products and a few have really impressed me. Let's just say if you are looking for light and refreshing skincare, this range has got you covered.
So let me introduce you to Syrene Skincare;
Just to make you aware; I have included links to the full size products throughout this blog post. However, the products that I have photographed are the travel sizes. Just in case you were wondering why the travel sizes were so expensive. Those are the full size prices. But back to the reviews themselves;
Syrene Aquagel Oil To Foam Cleanser (£46)
I think this has got to be my favourite of the bunch! As I've mentioned before, I have dry/dehydrated skin, so foam cleansers are not always a good option. But the fact that this starts off as an oil that then begins to foam, leaves my skin feeling a lot more nourished than it usually does with a foam cleanser.
The fact that it includes glycerin is a big bonus for me and I don't really have anything else like this in my current skincare collection/routine. It also leaves my skin really clean without feeling stripped in the slightest.
Syrene Aquagel Refreshing Toner (£58)
Now, I've got to admit, I don't always remember to use a toner as part of my skincare routine. So I have enjoyed trying this one out. This almost works like a second cleanse to get rid of any remaining residue, whilst also making sure that it replaces any of the hydration that it has removed.
Like the rest of the range, this is so refreshing and leaves the skin feeling soothed and hydrated without any tackiness or stickiness. There are so many great ingredients in it as well, including marine collagen, manuka honey and aloe vera. If you're someone who's into their ingredients, I would have a good look through what each of the Syrene products include, as there are some seriously impressive ingredients in each.
Syrene Aqualight Moisture Gel Lotion (£58)
I've had a few months to put these products to the test (I basically started using them as soon as my Drunk Elephant skincare routine blog post went live). And as these were the slightly warmer months, here in Scotland at least, I have been reaching for this lotion over the intense cream below.
This sinks into the skin so quickly and easily. And it would definitely be my top pick for oilier skin types or those looking for a lightweight moisturiser. Normally gel moisturisers hydrate my skin initially but leave it feeling thirsty an hour or so later. But I'm so happy to report that this doesn't. I haven't felt the urge to grab the heavier 'intense' cream yet. But more on that in a minute. I'm also a big fan of the pump applicator.
Syrene Aqua Intense Cream (£65)
This is the moisturiser for all of us with dry/dehydrated skin. And I love how this leaves my skin feeling. I'm talking silky, silky smooth. I may not have used it as much as the gel lotion this summer but I'm definitely looking forward to really putting this through its paces over the colder months.
It's not too thick or heavy and would work so well as a base for makeup. So much so that it gives you that primed and ready to go feeling.
Syrene Aqua Restore Eye Essence (£65)
Now, this is a really lovely eye cream. It feels so refreshing on the skin and leaves my eyes feeling a lot less puffy in the mornings. It has a slight tint to it, which helps to brighten the under eye area. So if you're someone who suffers from dark circles, I would definitely recommend checking this one out.
The consistency and slight tint immediately reminded me of the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme (see my review here). But unlike that one, the Syrene eye cream doesn't irritate my eyes. I eventually had to stop using the Ole Henriksen one because it would irritate my eyes so badly, which was a real shame. Thankfully, this one from Syrene has now taken its place.
Syrene Power Masque With Aquagel Advanced Hydration (£14)
Now this is easily the juiciest sheet mask that I have ever used. I tried to photograph the sheer amount of product you get from it but it was pretty tricky to do so.
This leaves your skin so hydrated! I've actually never experienced a sheet mask where you could literally wring it out and have so much of the product come out. It's definitely a real treat and even though it's single use, it gives your skin a real boost of hydration.
So that is Syrene Skincare. The full sizes are quite pricey, so I would definitely recommend picking up the travel set first. Or you can check out one of their newly released holiday gift sets before you make a big investment.
