I have always been a fan of the Clinique Moisture Surge range, as you might remember if you've been reading Ellis Tuesday since way back in 2014 and 2016. I've tried quite a bit of range by now and always have a tub of the original Moisture Surge on the go in my skincare routine. But I was really intrigued by two of the Moisture Surge products that I hadn't tried yet, which is what inspired today's Clinique Moisture Surge review.

So here's what I thought of these two latest Moisture Surge products;
Clinique Moisture Surge Intense 72H Lipid-Replenishing Hydrator* (£25 - £76)
Unlike the original gel formula, this is a much richer formulation. And as someone who can get really dry, irritated skin, that sometimes even the original isn't hydrating enough for, I was keen to see how this compared. Even though it's significantly richer, it's not too rich, if you know what I mean. It sinks in nicely and hasn't caused any irritation or breakouts, which is what I look for in a good moisturiser.
It does leave my skin with a bit of a shine to it but that doesn't really bother me, given the fact that before I apply it my skin can look quite dull. It's also not quite as greasy as the original gel formula can be, which is another big bonus for me. If you're looking for more moisture and hydration than the original Moisture Surge, particularly in the colder weather, this is definitely one to try.
Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Lotion* (£30)
Whether you have dry/dehydrated skin like I do or oily/combination, this is the kind of product that any skin type can use. The word lotion might make you think that it's a thick or heavy cream-like consistency, when it's actually a super lightweight almost watery texture. And because of that, it works as a boost of hydration in your skincare routine.
If you have really oily or combination skin, you could probably get away with using just this, instead of a heavy moisturiser. Whereas I've been using it as an added step, a bit like I would with a hyaluronic acid serum, for example. It has worked nicely on the dry patches that I often get around my nose. It is also super refreshing on the skin. That's something I would say about almost all of the Moisture Surge range that I've tried so far; the products are super cooling on the skin and leave it feeling silky soft. This is definitely the kind of product that comes into its own in the colder months for my skin type. And I can see it being one that I add into my routine when my skin is feeling particularly parched.

So that's my latest Clinique Moisture Surge review. Since writing this blog post, Clinique have released another new Moisture Surge product, the Moisture Surge 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator. So expect a blog post on that and a few other Moisture Surge products in the coming months.
Have you tried any of the Clinique Moisture Surge products before? If so, what were your thoughts? And what do you think of the sound of these two products?
