Despite putting lots of beauty products to the test throughout the course of the year, these are without a doubt my most loved and used. And what I would deem the best beauty products 2019.

So without further adieu, these are the beauty heroes that I could not live without in 2019;
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Illumination SPF50+ (£31)
This year I felt like concealer on its own didn't quite do what it used to. And so I needed something in between only concealer and full coverage foundation. That's where the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream came into play.
Having tried the original CC+ Cream previously, this year I had the Illumination CC+ applied to my face at my local counter. And it truly was love at first sight.
Often, because of how pale I am, when I match foundation perfectly to my skin tone it can make me look a little ill. Meaning I then need to spend time adding bronzer, blush and highlight in an aid to make me look vaguely human again. So to have a slightly warmer shade than my natural colour in this, with the Fair shade. And the illuminating qualities of this formulation, it makes me look much healthier. It's also really quick and easy to apply and a breeze to blend out. If you haven't yet tried either the original, illumination or matte CC+ cream, you need to get on that ASAP! Make it one of your goals for 2020, I'm being serious! You should be able to find an IT Cosmetics counter or stand at a Boots store near you, here in the UK. Or you can get it from Sephora if you live in or are visiting the US.
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink* (£23.50)
When it comes to eye makeup, there is nothing quicker or easier when you're in a rush or don't want to spend ages on your eyes than Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks.
My favourite and most used shade has got to be Golden Pink, which gives you the most wonderful pop to the eyes but in a completely natural way. I'm also a big fan of the matte shades, which you can sweep on in seconds and blend out effortlessly.
Every time I find myself near a Bobbi Brown counter I can't help myself but swatch more of them. Which shade should I go for next?
Fresh Sugar Dream Lip Treatment Advanced Therapy (£21.50)
My lips, like my skin in general, are often dehydrated so applying copious amounts of lip balm is essential. And for that reason, I don't tend to wear bright lipstick all that often. So this impressive little tube of tinted lip treatment has been my go-to pretty much every single day this year.
First of all, it smells incredible and has the prettiest natural pink tint to it. It makes my lips look juicy and healthy. So much so that I now have one of these on me at all times.
I'm really tempted to try some of the other shades, now that Fresh is easily available at Space NK here in the UK. As for me, you just can't beat this tinted treatment/balm for daily wear!
Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream (£50)
After a few years of not being totally blown away by any moisturiser that I tried. This year Drunk Elephant did just that with the Lala Retro Whipped Cream. Not only does my skin love it but the way in which it dispenses pleases me a great deal.
As someone with dry/dehydrated skin who really needs the moisture to go beyond the surface, Lala Retro works really well on my skin. I actually did a full dedicated blog post to this tub of wonder, so be sure to check that out. But since then it has been reformulated to add more ceramides (which penetrate deeper into the skin). So I'm excited to see how I get on with that when my current tub comes to an end. You'll find this and the whole Drunk Elephant range at Space NK and Boots here in the UK.
IGK Hair First Class Dry Shampoo (£10 - £23)
Now this was quite the discovery this year. With a chronic illness, washing my hair and then styling it, as often as I would like can be difficult. But I've never found a dry shampoo that actually works, until now.
This is seriously the grand daddy of all dry shampoos! Whether you're looking to go straight from the gym to work. Or you don't have time to wash and restyle your hair midweek, this totally transforms greasy, limp hair. I actually put this to the test on day four hair and I was shook! I ordinarily would have washed my hair that morning but wanted to see how First Class would cope.
After a few spritzes my hair looked dramatically different. And it left me feeling confident enough to run some errands without fear of being a gross greasy mess. If you're trying to cut down on washing your hair too often or sometimes need a bit of help from dry shampoo, seriously check this stuff out! They also do two lighter dry shampoo options, Jet Lag and Direct Flight respectively. But I'm definitely a First Class kinda gal.
