valentines gift ideas

It's been a good few years since I did a Valentine's Day gift guide. So I thought that I would share the best gift ideas for him, for her and for yourself this year.

Unsurprisingly, since I've been spent every single Valentine's Day being single, I've got quite a few ideas for how you can treat yourself too. And that's especially important given what we've all been through these past few years. Of course, you don't have to stick to the categories that I've outlined below. For example, I would be just as happy receiving a great movie on DVD as I would with a beauty bit.

So here are my top Valentine's Day gift ideas for her, for him and for yourself this year;

For Her

When it comes to seasonal launches and Valentine's Day gift ideas for her, no one does it quite like Lush. And their Valentine's range this year is incredible, as always. My favourite Valentine's gift set this year has to be the Self Love Club Gift (£25). It includes one of my favourite limited edition products, which it looks like you can only get in this set this year; the Unicorn Horn bubble bar. You also get two fun bath bombs, a rainbow bubble bar and some cute badges too. And it all comes in a lovely gift box.

The limited edition Temptation Shower Gel mixes apple, red roses, cinnamon and ginseng beautifully. And I had to pick up the limited edition Posh Chocolate Body Wash, which I can confirm leaves you literally smelling like hot chocolate. In the best possible way, of course. Last but not least we have the super cute limited edition Strawberry Heart Shower Jelly, which is a fun addition to any shower routine. It also smells unbelievable.

Sanctuary Spa Uplifting Moments

Perfume is always a nice choice. And Kate Spade New York's Parfum is my top pick this year. Or why not go for a gift set that screams 'treat yo' self' like this one from Sanctuary Spa or some skincare or makeup that you know they've had their eye on.

You may already know what is on their list of products to try or buy and there have also been some great releases recently.

For Him

If you find shopping for the man in your life tricky, why not introduce him to or get him something that he will actually use. Harry's have some great gift sets but I especially like the Winston Set (£24) With a weighty stainless steel handle, three blade cartridges, a shave gel and travel cover this is a great starter kit. It also comes in its own box, making it super easy to wrap. You can even have the Winston handle engraved with the man in your life's initials for £10 extra.

If your significant other is guilty of using your skincare products, why not treat him to his own set of essentials. Including an exfoliating face wash, toner, blemish treatment, eye cream and a day and a night lotion, the Harry's Full Skin Care Suite (£42) has everything they could need to start their own skincare routine. Or you can pick and choose from their range of skincare products to build them their own tailor made routine.

dvds to gift your boyfriend

Another great option, for anyone in your life quite frankly, is a movie or TV box set. I recently picked up the latest Halloween and Venom DVDs but there are plenty of brilliant ones to choose from. For example, has he been meaning to start watching Succession or is he catching up with the Jackass movies before the new movie comes out?

best books to gift a woman

For Yourself

When it comes to treating myself these days it mainly comes in the form of buying new books. From romances and rom coms to new releases, why not take Valentine's Day as an excuse to add to your Kindle library or bookshelf.

These are some of the books currently on my TBR list.

Another great way to treat yourself, why not book yourself in for a massage or splurge on a spa day where you can completely switch off. And don't forget to take a good book with you too.

So those are my top Valentine's Day gift ideas for her, for him and for yourself.

What do you think of my picks this year? Are you shopping for someone else or yourself? And what's your favourite movie to watch on Valentine's Day (I think it's got to be The Notebook for me)?
