Over the years I've visited both the original Glossier Showroom and the second showroom that they moved into. But there's a new store in NYC; the Glossier New York Soho store. And while I was in New York, I simply had to pay it a visit.
So, here's what Glossier's new New York flagship store is like;
As you may expect, it is full of incredible photo opportunities. The tiled 72 Spring Street (the store's location) Subway station was certainly created with that in mind. If you do visit, there can be a queue to sit and take your photo in this section of the store. But on the day that I visited, relatively early in the morning, there was only one person in front of me. And it is 100% worth waiting for.
However, the most exciting part of the flagship store for me had to be the room dedicated to the Glossier store exclusives. Normally you would have had to visit the LA store or the Boston store, etc. to get your hands on these products. But you can buy all of them from the Soho store. Definitely a top tip if you're a Glossier fan or know someone back home who is and happen to be in NYC.
This section of the store almost felt like a Glossier museum for me. And it was exciting to see some of their limited edition products high up on the shelves, as well as a few bits that I had my eye on. You can also try on the different hoodies, sweaters and sweatshirts for size, which is obviously very handy.
It's definitely an interesting and aesthetically pleasing store to walk around. And there were plenty of items to swatch and try out before you buy. Let's just say, if you're a beauty and skincare or Glossier fan more generally, a trip to a Glossier store is a must.
I was pretty restrained with my purchases this is time. Especially as I was doing hand luggage only. And I already had a liquids bag jam packed with Bath & Body Works and Sephora bits. In the end, I knew that I had to pick up the LA Keychain. I think it will make such a nice memento of my trip. The Philadelphia Mini Beauty Bag was also too adorable to pass up.
