glossier showroom nyc

Despite only being in New York for a couple of days on this particular trip. I simply had to pencil in a pitstop at the Glossier Showroom. I was also really excited to let my Mum see where all the pink pouches that are scattered around our home came from.

Since my last visit in 2017, the showroom has moved from the penthouse to it's very own concept store in the same building. And it truly is something to behold! Even my Mum, who can easily tire of traipsing around Sephora after Sephora, fell completely in love with the space and the products on show.

So here's a look around the new Glossier showroom in NYC and what I bought that day;

glossier you perfume review

Glossier You

Ever since Glossier launched their first fragrance, I've been desperate to try it out. And for that reason it was right at the top of my wishlist on this visit.

I made a beeline straight for it and was even more won over than I thought I would be. It feels like rather risky business to order perfume online. Particularly when you haven't been able to have a proper spritz of it beforehand. Which is what put me off ordering it back home in the UK. But I have always found myself drawn back to the little peely sample that you often get with your online order. If you're in the same boat, definitely take the leap of faith and order the full bottle. As I honestly can't get enough of it!

glossier zit stick review

Zit Stick

Sporting quite a few blemishes myself after a day or so of travelling and slathering all the SPF on my face. I decided to add this rollerball spot treatment to my order.

The cooling rollerball tip instantly felt good on my skin. And if I had been in two minds about grabbing one of these, learning that they have had to create a different version for the UK, had me almost panic buying it as I didn't want to miss out. Much like with Drunk Elephant's Babyfacial, which has too high a concentration of acids to be sold on the UK market. Zit Stick is apparently being reformulated for the UK. But I'm not exactly sure when it will arrive on our shores.

glossier bubble wrap review

Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Cream

I was immediately intrigued when I heard that Glossier had released an eye cream. Even more so when I heard that it also doubled as a lip cream.

I wanted to have a play with this in person before purchasing it. But really there was no need as I absolutely loved the way this felt around my eyes. I've yet to find an eye cream that I use everyday but this could very well be the one. I tried it on my lips at the showroom but didn't see any miraculous difference. Which is why I'll be solely using this as an eye cream and making my way through my many different Balm Dotcoms for my lip care instead. I was so tempted to pick up Mango Balm Dotcom, even though I have far too many flavours as it is!

Super Bounce

I've always been somewhat intrigued by the Glossier Supers, specifically the Super Bounce serum. As someone with dry/dehydrated skin this one sounded like the best match for me.

The bottles looked slightly different to how I remembered them. And one of the girls clad in the fabulous Glossier pale pink overalls let me know that the trio of serums had actually been reformulated. I never tried the original but I've been getting on well with Super Bounce. And now see why some of my favourite bloggers and YouTubers have been raving about it all these years.

Lash Slick Mascara

Now I normally opt for volume over length when it comes to my lashes. But after hearing such good things, I wanted to give this mascara a go.

It doesn't curl my lashes but instead gives them more length than I've ever seen them have before. It also doesn't clump or smudge and it being waterproof is a nice added bonus. If you're looking for a lengthening mascara, I would definitely give this one a go. Let me know if you'd like to see a dedicated blog post or even a mini Insta review of it.

Lidstar in Lily

And last but not least, I treated my Mum to the one product that she couldn't get enough of at the showroom. I've tried and reviewed the Lidstar shadows before here. But as someone who said she was just going to take a seat and let me have a look about, she was swatching and playing with practically every product in the showroom.

She loved a lot of the Glossier Play range. But by far, her favourite find was the Lidstar in her favourite colour; purple. She's been wearing it pretty much non-stop since we got back. And she has even asked me to let her know when I next go to place an online order here.

So it was a pretty successful trip to the showroom, to say the least. And the fact that my Mum loved it as much as she did just goes to show how impressive it was.

Have you tried anything from Glossier before? If so, what have been your best finds?
