supergoop glow stick spf 50

If you saw my Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen Review, you will know that I was a big fan. However, the only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars was the fact that it was SPF 30. So as soon as the Supergoop Glow Stick SPF 50 was released in the UK, I simply had to get my hands on it. And today I'm sharing my review of that very product.

SHOP THE POST

First of all, the Supergoop Glow Stick SPF 50 is available in the UK from Cult Beauty and Selfridges. It is priced at £22.

Immediately I was over the moon to know that I would be protecting my skin with SPF 50. As a pale, freckly redhead, I've always been used to applying the highest factor available to me. Which is why I don't understand why every SPF isn't SPF 50 to begin with.

The stick itself hasn't caused me too many problems. But I do have a feeling that it may melt a little in hotter climates (not that that matters here in Scotland). So when I take it on holiday I may opt to keep it in the fridge, which will have the added bonus of cooling my skin upon application too.

Who will it work for?

Much like the Unseen Sunscreen, if you have particularly oily skin, this probably won't be the SPF for you. I'd seen a few people say that it was quite greasy on their skin, when they already had oily skin to begin with. But, if you're like me and have dry or dehydrated skin, this makes the skin feel soft and hydrated, whilst also giving you a gorgeous glow.

As it is completely clear, it has zero white cast, making it such a great option for darker skin tones. Or those who hate looking even whiter when wearing SPF.

It has a very faint scent to it which immediately takes me back to being on holiday.

You can use it pretty much all over your body. But since it is quite pricey, I'll only be using it on my face. And the reason that I don't mind paying a bit more for a great facial SPF; when it doesn't break me out in blemishes. And so far, so good with this and I've been using it for over a month. Normally my skin reacts almost immediately if it doesn't like a facial SPF. So I think the fact that this hasn't done that is a good sign.

This has quickly become my go-to SPF, particularly when it comes to reapplying and topping up my SPF throughout the day.

Have you ever tried an SPF stick? If so, what did you think of it? And is Supergoop on your list of brands to try out next?
