Thanks to the Drunk Elephant Littles Head To Toe Set I've tried quite a few of Drunk Elephant's body products. And I've enjoyed using them. But as soon as I heard that they were adding to the T.L.C. range, I could not contain my excitement. As someone with dry/dehydrated skin all over, from my face to my scalp and body, I cannot get enough of the T.L.C. products. So today I'm putting the latest addition, the Drunk Elephant TLC Glycolic Body Lotion, to the test on my dry skin.

And here's what I thought;
I'll start by saying that above and beyond normal dry skin, I have a condition called keratosis pilaris. Which is essentially like having little risen goosebumps on my arms and legs all day everyday. When I saw that this included glycolic acid I was very intrigued. Exfoliating and moisturising all in one step; where do I sign up?!
The lotion itself is quite a runny and silky texture. It absorbs into the skin quickly and without leaving behind any residue. If your skin is particularly parched, you may need to follow this up with a super heavy cream for an added boost of moisture. However, using this in the warmer months, so far, has meant that I've felt more than happy with how much hydration it has given my skin.
But what has really impressed me with this body lotion is the effect it has had on my little bumps. Along with any flaky skin that I've had. Unlike a traditional gritty scrub, which is usually only a temporary fix. This lotion has seen the skin issues that I do have get much better, without causing irritation.
If you've never used acids (I swear the word acid makes it sound scary; but there's nothing to fear if you use them carefully) on your limbs before, it may be wise to apply this every other day. Otherwise you may experience a bit of tingling as your skin gets used to it. And if you have particularly sensitive skin, you can even mix the TLC body lotion in with another lotion to make it a bit less potent.
This is definitely the body lotion to try if you love fake tanning but hate having to exfoliate separately. Or if you suffer from dry, flaky skin. I can see this being a lotion being a definite repurchase. Particularly for during the summer months when I have my arms and legs on display more. I'm already looking forward to using this before going on holiday somewhere sunny *fingers crossed next year*.
