Over the past couple of weeks I've had some really exciting beauty deliveries. And instead of worrying about reviewing each one individually, I thought that I would do a round up of the beauty products I've been putting to the test recently. There's a mix of brand new releases and some cult favourites. And I've definitely had fun playing around with them, particularly when we've been stuck at home again. As I've said in previous blog posts, lockdown has been a great time to put skincare to the test, as you don't need to worry about your skin reacting right before a special event, etc. Today's blog post should also give you some ideas of the best beauty products to try next.

All of the products in today's blog post were sent to me for consideration but, as always, I only ever feature products that I would purchase myself. And here are some of the best beauty products to try next;
Lush
Lush Mamma Mia Body Scrub (£11 - £20)
During the colder months I need some serious encouragement to spend more time than absolutely necessary in the shower. But now that it's starting to get warmer, I feel much more inclined to take the time for self care. And it starts with this body scrub from Lush. Let's just say that I am rather sad that this is a limited edition Mother's Day release. It smells incredible and buffs away my dry sensitive skin without irritating it. I may need to seriously stock up before it goes.
Lush Sleepy Shower Gel (£7 - £38)
If you haven't already discovered the genius that is Lush's Sleepy range and prefer a shower over a bath, you simply have to try the Sleepy Shower Gel. On nights when I have a shower right before bed, this just gets me in the mood to switch off completely.
Lush Twilight Sleepy Body Spray (£20)
Now this is technically a body spray but I actually use it as a pillow and room spray. And my god, my bedroom smells SO GOOD when I spray this. It's definitely my favourite lavender based pillow/room spray that I've ever tried and a little truly goes such a long way. My bedroom smells like a spa and a spritz or two before bed really does chill me out.
Antipodes
Antipodes Culture Probiotic Night Recovery Water Cream (£45)
When Antipodes got in touch to ask if I'd like to try their latest release, the Culture Probiotic Night Recovery Water Cream, I was over the moon. I'm all about my skincare working when I sleep. Some night creams can be too thick or take too long to soak in, which always leaves my pillowcase in a bit of a sorry state. This, on the other hand, has a really nice light texture to it. My skin has felt so soft each morning and this is the only night product that I've been using, to really put it to the test.
Antipodes Halo Skin Brightening Facial Mud Mask (£26.99)
I tend to steer clear of mud masks as they only make my skin feel drier. But after seeing great reviews of this online, I pushed my worries aside and I am really glad that I did. This actually feels hydrating on the skin instead of feeling like it's sucking all the moisture out of my skin. And it definitely left my skin looking brighter as well. I will need to try more of their brightening/exfoliating range in the future.
Antipodes Rosehip & Avocado Oil Divine Face Oil (£22.99)
This is a face oil that doesn't leave your skin looking greasy or oily, which I always appreciate. It also hasn't broken me out, which other face oils have in the past. This is definitely a good entry level face oil to try if you haven't really tried many before. I'm not the biggest fan of the scent (I don't get why it isn't unscented) but I can look past that.
Bobbi Brown
Bobbi Brown EXTRA Repair Moisturizing Balm SPF 25 (£69)
If you don't already know, I am one of Bobbi Brown's UK ambassadors, which means that I get sent a handful of Bobbi Brown products each month to put to the test. After finally finishing my first jar recently (that I reviewed at the end of 2019) I had to replenish one of my favourite sumptuously thick face creams. The fact that this has SPF 25 built in is what keeps me coming back to it. And it is easily one of the best that I've tried for seriously dehydrated skin.
Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color in Pink Cloud (£29)
I also took the opportunity to try two makeup products from Bobbi Brown. How pretty is this Pink Cloud shade? I tend to opt for other lip formulations from BB, as you will have seen in my The Best Bobbi Brown Makeup Products blog post. But the Luxe Lip Color feels so nice on the lips too.
Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick in Pink (£36.50)
This Brightening Brick has added so much life back into my rather deathly pale winter skin. A swirl of a brush not only gives my cheeks a rosy glow but it can be used all over the face to do exactly what it says on the box; brighten.
A drugstore haul
Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara (£9.99)
I still watch TikTok via people sharing it on Twitter and Insta, instead of just downloading the app itself. But I know how popular this drugstore mascara has been on there. If you like length when it comes to your lashes, this is the one to try! I wouldn't recommend if you love volume but that's not what this mascara is all about anyway.
Garnier SkinActive Micellar Reusable Eco Pads (£8.99)
If you've been looking for reusable makeup pads, look no further than these ones from Garnier. You get three in a pack and they estimate that you can get 1000 washes per pad. I like how super soft these are, compared to some others that I've tried from the likes of Amazon that were a bit grainier. And they wash really well too. I've been using mine with just Micellar water and they work so well to completely cleanse the face.
SVR
SVR [HYALU] BIOTIC Regenerating Plumping Gel (£40)
After seeing one of my favourite Instagrammers rave about this on her Stories, I was so excited to give this a try. And I have to say, this is a gamechanger for those of us with dry/dehydrated skin. Whilst the Bobbi Brown Balm is thick and sumptuous, this is a lot lighter and gel-like but packs the same amount of hydration. I can easily see this being my go to spring/summer moisturiser.
