Even though I've not been wearing makeup at all, my skin has been much more prone to breakouts and even angry boil-like spots since lockdown began. Mask acne or "maskne" is now something that many of us will have to contend with. Which is why I was so excited when the Pixi Clarity Collection arrived at my door. And I've been putting it to the test ever since.

As someone with dry/dehydrated and sensitive skin (see my Pixi Hydrating Milky Collection review here), a lot of anti-blemish skincare can make my skin even drier. Which is why I was keen to see how a range that utilises salicylic, glycolic and lactic acids, probiotics and aloe would work on my skin.
So here's what I think of the Pixi Clarity Collection;
Pixi Skintreats Clarity Cleanser (£18)
Now I must first start by saying that this isn't just a traditional cleanser. Instead and because of the combination of acids in it, this is a cleanser with the bonus of being a chemical exfoliator too. However, the probiotics and aloe extracts soothe and repair the skin whilst the acids get to work exfoliating and unclogging pores.
I really like the clear gel texture and it even has a somewhat tropical scent to it that I absolutely adore. It just smells so good!
If you have oily or blemish prone skin, this is certainly the cleanser for you. Even though my skin feels soft and super clean after using this, it does feel a bit tight. Which is why I would do what Pixi themselves recommend and follow it up with a moisturising product.
Pixi Skintreats Clarity Tonic (£10-18)
Pixi are now known for their Tonics, with the original Glow Tonic still being an absolute holy grail skincare product for me. So I definitely had high expectations that the Clarity Tonic would live up to that and some of the other recent Tonic releases. Like the Vitamin C Tonic, Rose Tonic and Milky Tonic. And Pixi have definitely done it again with this one.
I was slightly concerned that this would be drying on my skin type or leave it feeling tight. But thankfully it doesn't. It picks up any dirt and/or impurities that your cleanse has missed and feels so soothing on the skin. When you've got some serious blemishes, it really does feel so nice when a product calms and cools them down. I'll definitely be switching in this Tonic when I need it most.
Pixi Skintreats Clarity Concentrate (£26)
This water-based serum has all the benefits of the rest of the range when it comes to ingredients. It's lightweight and feels silky on the skin, whilst adding some more hydration. Again, if you're looking to minimise pores or smooth your complexion, I would certainly recommend trying this and the rest of the range out.
Pixi Skintreats Clarity Lotion (£24)
Again this is perfect for oilier skin as one of the ingredients, kaolin, is known for its mattifying properties. It has stopped the one area of my face that I struggle with oil, my forehead, from looking too shiny. And it's a nice lightweight and cooling gel/cream formula too.
As someone with dry/dehydrated skin, I was also really happy to see the inclusion of a ceramide in this, which stops it from being overly drying on the skin.
The Pixi Clarity Collection just goes to prove that blemish treatments and clarifying skincare don't need to strip or dry out the skin. And you can either use the collection as a full skincare routine or regimen. Or you can use certain products in conjunction with your normal routine, as and when you need them.
