Over the years I've tried quite a few bits from Pixi, both when it comes to their skincare and their makeup. So you can imagine just how excited I was to receive this adorable Pixi milky collection delivery a few months ago.

When I saw that it was a whole collection dedicated to hydration, I was over the moon. If you're a regular reader of Ellis Tuesday, you will know that I have dry/dehydrated skin. So anything that promises to give my skin more hydration is always worth trying. I've been doing just that over the past few months. I even tried doing the full six part Hydrating Milky skincare routine from start to finish a few times. And here are my thoughts on the Pixi milky collection;
REMOVE - Pixi Skintreats Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover (£24)
First up we have a bi-phase makeup remover that tackles even waterproof makeup. It's also dispensed from one of Pixi's really handy pumps. If you're using a (hopefully reusable) cotton pad, this makes it so easy to use. This is quite an oily makeup remover, if that makes sense and you can feel the oily residue that it leaves behind. But it does remove all makeup, so I wouldn't necessarily let that put you off. It is worth considering though, especially if you don't plan to follow it up with another cleanser.
CLEANSE - Pixi Skintreats Hydrating Milky Cleanser (£18)
This is great for a second cleanse or a deeply nourishing cleanse on days when you're not wearing makeup. It includes probiotics (something we're seeing a lot more in skincare these days) and coconut to soothe and hydrate whilst cleansing.
PEEL - Pixi Skintreats Hydrating Milky Peel (£24)
Next up we have the Milky version of Pixi's iconic Peel & Polish. This physical exfoliator is one of the gentlest that I have ever used. I would definitely recommend this if you have sensitive skin or are looking to minimise your pores without leaving your skin feeling irritated.
TONE - Pixi Skintreats Hydrating Milky Tonic (£10-18)
A new addition to Pixi's Tonic range, the Milky Tonic is also lovely and soothing on the skin. As with Pixi's other Tonics, you apply this to the face, neck and decolletage and you don't need to rinse this off.
TREAT - Pixi Skintreats Hydrating Milky Serum (£26)
This is designed to give the skin a burst of hydration. If I could change anything about this product, however, it would be the dropper applicator. Whilst this works for other Pixi serums, this is too thick for the dropper to work effectively. I can see this being particularly beneficial in the colder Winter months or if you struggle with dry patches of skin.
MOISTURIZE - Pixi Skintreats Hydrating Milky Lotion (£24)
I was really excited when I noticed that this was both a face and a body moisturiser and it isn't as liquid as I expected it to be. A little goes a long way with this stuff and it's also long-lasting. My skin feels a lot more hydrated and nourished after using this. I also like to apply it to any areas that are feeling particularly parched or dry.
The Pixi milky collection is definitely well worth checking out if you're looking to add more hydration into your routine or you're suffering from dry skin.
