Valentine's Day Single Ideas

As someone who's spent each and every Valentine's Day on their own, February the 14th is just another day to be honest. But with my birthday being a few days prior, on the 11th. I still tend to be in the birthday state of mind.

You know the one; where you eat birthday cake for breakfast and have birthday money burning a hole in your pocket. So I like to treat myself to a few things to help make the 14th of February bearable as a singleton. And here are the ways that I'll be doing that this year;

Yankee Candle Valentine's

Light a candle

To be quite honest, I don't really need an excuse to treat myself to some Yankee Candles. Is anyone else a bit like this? So of course I was going to take advantage of the February Fragrance Of The Month offer. True Rose, which honestly smells even better than a big bouquet of red roses, has 25% off it as a result. And I couldn't leave the You Warm My Heart 2 wick tumbler candle behind either. How cute is the design of this one? Plus it houses the brilliant Pink Sands fragrance too.

Valentine's Day Pampering

Practice self care

After my Yankee Candles are lit, I'll be spending a few hours tonight pampering myself. And then slipping into a pair of my cosiest pyjamas. If you remember my post on my Summer skincare essentials last year. Then you'll know how much I love for the Lavera body lotion. Well the rose scented pampering body lotion* and wash* are perfect for this time of year.

And if you're a fan of the brand I Love..., like I am. Then I would certainly take advantage of the Valentine's savings on the Perfect Getaway Essential Pack*. The I Love... Strawberries & Cream scent is by far my favourite from the bran. And you're getting six products plus a great getaway bag and shower puff all for just £15 (down from £30). You definitely won't feel guilty about treating yourself at that price.

Treat Yourself This Valentine's Day

Treat yourself

Just because you don't have a significant other in your life doesn't mean that you can't treat yourself to some jewellery and chocolate yourself. You certainly can't go wrong with some Thorntons chocolate. And this mixture of white and milk chocolate, albeit in a love heart shape. Is the perfect treat, even if you don't have a Valentine this year.

When it comes to jewellery, why not treat yourself this Valentine's Day? And in particular, why not support a small business or seller on Etsy? As soon as I saw this Swarovski Crystal Red Heart Collar Necklace* I knew that it would make for a perfect Valentine's Day gift to myself. Lydia at GlitzandGiftsUK has so many beautiful pieces to choose from. As does another independent retailer; Nikki Stark. Her simple and stunning designs are definitely right up my street. And best of all, they're really affordable too.

I also absolutely love these two Valentine's Day appropriate pins from Jolly Awesome. If you're feeling the love then the Bumble Bae pin* is ideal. If you're not bothered about Valentine's at all, there's the No Fucks Given pin*. If you haven't heard of Jolly Awesome before then I definitely recommend checking out their site. Especially if you feel like treating yourself or someone else to some adorable greeting cards, prints, mugs and pins.

Best Valentine's Day Movies and TV

Watch a good movie

And you certainly can't go wrong with a good ol' romantic comedy or a night of binge watching Sex And The City, now can you? These are just a selection of some of my favourite rom-coms. What are some of your favourite romantic comedies to watch?

However you're spending Valentine's Day this year, I hope you have a lovely time!

What are your favourite things to do to treat yourself? How are you spending this evening? And what have you treated yourself to recently?
