Last month's Degustabox, the April International Box (review here), was by far the best Degustabox that I've had the pleasure of trying. So I had a feeling that the May Degustabox might not quite live up to the previous one. And in a way, I was kind of right, at least for me anyway.
As with every Degustabox review that I do. I have a fantastic and exclusive discount code for you to use to take £3 off the £12.99 price tag. All you have to do is enter the code 00ZK4 when you register.
So what exactly does the May Degustabox comprise of. Well let's see;
From left to right: Top Row: Maggi So Stir Fry Singapore Curry Chicken Noodles - Slim Pasta Lasagne - Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce
Bottom Row: Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce - Schwartz Grill Mates Honey & Soy Marinade in a Bag - Maggi So Stir Fry Oriental 3 Spice Chicken Noodles
From left to right: Top Row: Sarsons Balsamic Vinegar - Green Coco Kid's Coco Juice & Banana - Daelmans Stroopwafels
Bottom Row: Fuel 10K Protibrick - 9 Bar Fruity
As I mentioned above, I think the fact that this month's box didn't include any sweet treats, beers or ciders, like the last couple of month's did, left me feeling a little bit disheartened about the May box. But there are still some great brands and products included, ones that the rest of my family enjoyed much more than last month's. That's the thing with Degustabox, especially if you share it with your family or friends, there really is something for everyone.
May's box was touted as being a bit of a Bank Holiday/BBQ box. But unfortunately I'm not a huge BBQ fan (pause for shock and horror to pass). However the rest of my family love a good BBQ. So this box was right up there street. It certainly catered for them. And I can imagine, many other BBQ fan. Plus they've definitely discovered some firm favourites as a result of trying them in this month's box.
Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce has quickly become a holy grail item in our household. Especially with the weather being that much warmer. And it's a good thing that a full bottle and a little sachet of the stuff was included in this month's box as they've almost finished the bottle already. The Schwartz Grill Mates Marinade has also went down a storm in our household too.
But my favourite products from this box have to be the Maggi So Stir Fry Noodles. I'm definitely a big fan of chicken noodles like these. Particularly when I'm in a rush or can't be bothered making anything too fancy for lunch or dinner. And then there's the Daelmans Stroopwafels. They certainly add something to your normal cup of tea or coffee. The only items that we haven't yet put to the test are the Fuel 10K Protibricks. But both my mum and brother have vowed to try them out very soon.
So what do you think of this month's box? Have you tried any of the products featured in the May Degustabox before? And have you had a BBQ yet this year?
