Best Blogging Moments of 2014

2014 marked my first full year as a blogger. And to say that I've seriously enjoyed it would be a bit of an understatement. For the first time in a long time I've actually had a real passion for something. And it's inspired me to finally turn my love of all things blogging into a career.

My first year of blogging has been filled with so many incredible opportunities. Opportunities that I could never have imagined happening when I hit publish on my first post. So I decided to dedicate a blog post to recap some of my favourite blogging moments of 2014. And fingers crossed that 2015 is a year of even more fantastic opportunities and blogging moments;

Reaching 100,000 Blog Views

I know that it's not all about the numbers. But to see the number of views increase on a daily basis really does make me smile. It's also really interesting to see what posts people gravitate to when they're on my blog. As well as which ones have been viewed the most. Can you tell that I'm one of those bloggers who still gets excited to see a number appear on the real-time Google Analytics page? Hehe.

St. Enoch Feature in Magazine - My St. Enoch Photoshoot

One of the biggest and most surreal blogging moments of 2014 has to be my photoshoot for the St. Enoch magazine. And it was even more surreal to see my face (and my body for that matter) in print. It was also really lovely to be able to share what I've achieved blog wise with the members of my family who don't even own a computer (I'm talking about my grandparents here). And they were really proud to see my little face in an actual magazine. To find out more about the entire experience and all that it entailed (click here).

Tesco Beauty

When I was approached by Tesco Beauty and asked if I would like to write an article for them I really was gobsmacked. To think that my blog had caught their attention and they were excited to share my writing with even more readers was something very exciting. I certainly enjoyed freelancing. And it really is something that I want to focus more time and attention on in 2015.

Lord Sugar RT

As a huge fan of The Apprentice and the man himself; Lord Sugar, this was a pretty big blogging moment on Twitter in 2014. Not only did Lord Sugar re-tweet my blog post. But he also tweeted me which was pretty unreal to say the least.

Look Fantastic Blogger of the Week

This was another big moment, especially as I've been a Look Fantastic shopper for a good number of years now. To see my work featured on another site, one other than my own blog, is never not exciting for me. When I first started my blog I could never have imagined the fact that I would be able to see my words appear on sites that I have frequented for years now. Again; pretty surreal.

Reaching 1000 Followers

To reach such an incredible milestone within just a few months of blogging was truly unbelievable. And to know that I am currently edging closer and closer to 2000 followers still hasn't truly sunk in. I'd just like to thank everyone who has clicked the follow button over the past thirteen months.

Being featured on the Soap & Glory blog

And as a blogging novice and a big fan of the brand in question, having my blog featured on the Soap & Glory blog way back in February of last year was such a big deal for me. It has been absolutely amazing to work with the lovely girls at Soap & Glory throughout the year of 2014. And I can't wait to work with them again this year.

What were your highlights of 2014? Blogging or otherwise?
