As you will have seen if you saw my big Boots haul, I recently indulged in a spot of retail therapy. And I did all that at St. Enoch Centre in Glasgow City Centre. I also stopped by the new Atrium, which had just opened at the St Enoch Centre food court.
Instead of rushing around like I normally do when I pop to the shops for a browse. I decided to dedicate the entire day to taking my time and really making a day of it. And that's how I spent the day shopping, dining and most surprisingly, blogging at St. Enoch.
My Mum and I had a couple of stores that we knew we wanted to visit, namely Boots and Debenhams. And that's where we spent the most of our time shopping that day. You'll have already seen what I managed to pick up in Boots, if you saw my blog post last weekend. But in addition to that, I also finally treated myself to a couple of bits from the brand new Kat Von D counter at Debenhams. Plus a new Summer hat from the same store. I also had my eye on a couple of things in Topshop and H&M too. So I may need to make another trip around pay day.
And if you do plan to visit the Centre, I can't recommend joining their free rewards club, St. Enoch Rewards, to receive discounts and treats as you shop.
After working up an appetite we headed straight for the St Enoch Centre food court. Or should I say, the newly opened Atrium. It really is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat. And what really excited me about it's opening was the fact that they've created it with those of us who like to work/check our emails/tweets on the go, in mind.
There aren't many places in Glasgow City Centre, other than coffee shops, where you can grab some food and drink to refuel. Or catch up with emails, study for an upcoming exam or blog. But that's exactly what The Atrium is all about. With handy plug sockets for you to plug in, seats and tables aplenty and lots of natural light, I can see The Atrium becoming a big hit with shoppers and social media addicts/bloggers alike.
With a wide variety of places to choose from such as Subway, KFC, McDonald's, Burger King, Di Maggio's, Wongs and Taste, there really is something for everyone at the St Enoch Centre food court. And this comes from quite possibly the fussiest eater in the world; me. As it was an unusually warm and sunny day here in Glasgow when I visited, I opted for a vanilla cone from McDonald's to keep me going. And I treated my Mum to a burger and fries from Burger King. As well as a big drink to quench our thirst.
Thanks to St. Enoch for inviting me along to experience The Atrium. And to shop and blog whilst I was there.
Have you been to St. Enoch before? What do you think of what I managed to pick up? And what do you think of being able to blog on the go and when out shopping, like this?
