Clinique were probably the very first skincare brand that I ever tried, way back when I was in my early teens, as a result of it being my Mum's go-to brand. And over the years I've been incredibly loyal to one Clinique product in particular; Moisture Surge, as you will have seen in many blog posts. But above and beyond that range and their facial SPF, I haven't dabbled much when it comes to Clinique's skincare offerings. So I was really intrigued when the latest products in the Clinique All About Clean range arrived at my door. With two new products and a few that have been available for a while now, I gave my usual cleansers a break and switched to all things All About Clean. And I have some thoughts to share.

But back to the Clinique All About Clean review itself;

Clinique All About Clean 2-in-1 Cleansing + Exfoliating Jelly (£18)
I do love a jelly cleanser (if you haven't tried Glossier's Milky Jelly Cleanser, get that on your to-try list ASAP!) and the fact that this promises exfoliating benefits, as well as cleansing, definitely caught my interest. You get a nice and gentle exfoliation with this 2-in-1 product. It also cuts out the daily exfoliation step in your routine by having this product pull double duty. And you only need a small amount or it could become too harsh on the skin.
I feel like if I use it every day (I tested each of these cleansing products every day for a week, apart from the charcoal one) it can leave my skin feeling a bit drier than usual. This probably wouldn't be such a big deal if you had a skin type other than really dry/dehydrated. And I actually think this would be ideal for oily/combination skin, to be fair. But it is worth bearing in mind if you have dry/dehydrated skin.
Clinique All About Clean 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask + Scrub (£31)
Again, I'm not sure that I am the skin type that they are targeting with this Mask + Scrub. But my skin does feel super clean, if a bit in need of hydration, after using this. It isn't too harsh or overly stripping on the skin, like some other charcoal masks and scrubs can be. But I think oily/combination skin types would get on with this much better than I did.

Clinique All About Clean All-in-One Cleansing Micellar Milk + Makeup Remover in Very Dry to Dry Combination Skin (£19.50)
I really appreciate the fact that the next two products can be tailored exactly to your skin type, which is why I went for the Very Dry to Dry Combination Skin option. And I have to say, I really, really like this cleanser. Firstly, you don't need to rinse after using this, which is great if you're in a rush or feeling a bit lazy. And it is super gentle, particularly around the eye area. My sometimes sensitive skin did not react at all when using this. I also like how thick yet milky it is. Plus, it feels much more hydrating on the skin than some of the other All About Clean products.
The only issue I have with this; the packaging and how the product is ultimately dispensed. Already I can tell that it's going to be tough to get the product out when it gets a bit lower. I understand that Clinique actually redesigned the bottle to be more sustainable than the previous design but it could still use a bit of tweaking in the future.

Clinique All About Clean Liquid Facial Soap in Extra Mild (£18)
I actually really like the fact that this doesn't lather. Because this is the Extra Mild version, cleansers that lather can actually dry out and strip already dry skin so I definitely appreciate that. And again, it is super comfortable on the skin. But I did see a few new spots and blemishes pop up around my chin, when using this. I'm not sure if the two things are related but I never experienced that with any of the other products that I put to the test for today's blog post. The packaging is also the same here, which is a bit frustrating.
As a result, if I had to choose between the Micellar Milk + Makeup Remover and this, I would definitely pick the latter. But this is still a lovely cleanser and one that I will be passing onto my Mum, in a very full circle moment of her originally introducing me to Clinique.

Overall, I'm glad I got the chance to put the four products to the test and I am so happy that I have now added the Micellar Milk + Makeup Remover to my routine.
Have you tried any of Clinique's cleansing options? If so, what are your thoughts? And what is your favourite cleansing product of all time?
