lush spa foot treatment

Last month I was invited along to the Lush Spa in Edinburgh to experience The Spell Lush Spa foot treatment. If you don't already follow me on Instagram (I'm @ellistuesday on there), you will have missed my Stories from the day, where I shared more of what the treatment entails. So be sure to check that out first.

I loved The Spell treatment so much that I knew I simply had to try and recreate it at home. As, even though I try my best to practice self care, I don't really pamper my feet as often as I probably should.

So here are the exact products that you need to recreate a Lush Spa foot treatment at home;

lush rub rub rub review

Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub (£11-20)

Until I had The Spell, I actually hadn't tried any of Lush's scrubs before. That's probably because every single time that I enter a Lush store I end up getting distracted by the ever growing array of bath bombs.

Rub Rub Rub can be used on wet skin for a gentler scrub or on dry skin to really get rid of any dry, rough patches of skin. Its main component is sea salt and I find that it works particularly well on my heels, when using it solely on my feet. They also claim that it works well on hair, which I'm really intrigued by. I think I'll need to put that to the test the next time I have a shower.

lush volcano foot mask review

Lush Volcano Foot Mask (£9)

Once you've exfoliated your feet, it's time to apply the Volcano Foot Mask. At the Lush Spa, this was applied and then my feet were wrapped in towels and left to develop whilst I had the head massage and hot stone portion of the treatment.

At home I would recommend warming some towels on the radiator, whilst you're applying the mask and then wrapping them around your feet. It's the strangest sensation. But my feet feel simultaneously cooled and warmed throughout the twenty minutes period in which this takes to work its magic.

My feet feel really soothed and nourished afterward. And as Volcano also contains pumice, if you're not looking to scrub your feet beforehand, this works to naturally exfoliate the skin.

lush pink peppermint foot cream review

Lush Pink Peppermint Foot Lotion (£16)

As someone who loves peppermint, this lotion smells incredible! I also suffer from quite bad circulation in my feet. And this lotion is designed with that in mind. The peppermint and arnica blend works to cool down hot feet and warm up cold feet. I would immediately point you in the direction of this lotion, if your feet are swollen or tired. I've also seen an improvement in circulation, which I was seriously not expecting after just a few uses.

I've tried a fair few foot lotions in my time. And this is by far my favourite.

lush t for toes review

Lush T For Toes Foot Powder (£8)

If you ever suffer from sweaty feet, either when you've got big fluffy socks and boots on in the winter or during the hot summer months, this powder should make a big difference. It also works on any odours in your shoes or boots.

A little really goes a long way with this and it wraps up our at home foot treatment perfectly. It absorbs any residual oils from the other products that have been used. And it works to keep feet deodorised thereafter.

So there you have it, how to treat your feet to an at home treatment that really works. It will definitely keep me going until I can next visit the Lush Spa anyway. Maybe I should book in for a little treat nearer my birthday in February.

Have you ever visited the Lush Spa or wanted to? If so, which treatment sounds like your favourite? And do you look after your feet?
