Every time that I mention GOSH on here, I have to stress, again and again, that they are one of the most underated, innovative and exciting beauty brands on the High Street. And their latest collection confirms just that. Following on from their Spring/Summer collection, which I reviewed earlier in the year. The GOSH Autumn Winter collection* has some real gems;
First up we have the Overnight Primer Oil Essence. As far as I'm aware (please correct me if I'm wrong), there isn't anything quite like this in the drugstore at the moment. Especially at this kind of price point. When I first saw it, it immediately reminded me of the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil. But what makes GOSH's stand out from the crowd is the fact that it's an overnight primer. This means that while you're sleeping it actually preps your skin for the morning. Meaning you'll wake up with skin that feels nourished and glowing. Which is quite the game changer when it comes to an item of what is essentially, makeup come skincare.
Next up we have the Foundation Plus + Cover + Conceal. This is essentially a concealer and foundation in one, which also includes an SPF of 15. It's definitely long-lasting and it leaves the skin with a velvety soft finish, which I'm a fan of.
It also comes in a nice range of shades. But sadly the lightest shade (002 Ivory), is still just that bit too dark for me. Hopefully GOSH will extend the range to include a 001 shade.
My only issue with this product (apart from it being too dark for me) is the bottle itself. You have to give it a good squeeze for any of the product to actually come out. And as a result, I feel like I'm almost running out of it even though I've only used it a couple of times. I'm not sure if the bottle is too big for the product or if the consistency is too thick to be easily dispensed in this way. But that's something worth keeping in mind if you happen to pick it up at Superdrug.
I'm a big fan of eyeliner so I was really excited to see a giant marker-style liner in this latest collection. The nib allows you to be really precise with this and it definitely doesn't budge either.
GOSH's latest mascara is another game changer for me. It contains fibres which attach and adhere to your lashes to give them that false lash look without any of the fuss or hassle. I hope you can see the fibres that I'm talking about on the mascara wand itself.
I've never seen my lashes look longer or fuller before.
As someone who's only recently started paying attention to their brows, all thanks to Benefit's new brow collection, I was certainly happy to see this Brow Sculpting Fibre Gel. This adds colour to your brows, whilst simultaneously keeping them in place. It also works to fill in brows and build back volume in sparse areas too. I love the shape of the brush and the fact that you can get really precise with it.
And last but not least from the GOSH Autumn Winter collection, we have the Contour'N Strobe Kit. This palette contains two contour shades, a blusher and a highlighter, all of which are incredibly pigmented and easy to blend. This is definitely the kind of kit to pick up if you want everything in one place. And in one handy palette. The consistency is lovely and creamy on the skin. It's also available in two shades, this one (Light) and Medium.
In addition to the products mentioned in today's post, GOSH have also added new shades to their range of velvet touch lipsticks. But I will be mentioning these in another post at a later date. But that's my review of the GOSH Autumn Winter 2016 collection.
What do you think of GOSH's new releases? Have you tried anything from GOSH before? If so, what did you think of it? And are you looking forward to the Autumn/Winter months, especially when it comes to makeup?
