On Ellis Tuesday I've tried two beauty boxes in the past, from Look Fantastic and Birchbox respectively. And I have to say, I've been impressed with every single one of them that I've received. But when this month's Look Incredible deluxe beauty box arrived at my door, to say that I was blown away would be a definite understatement. So let's see exactly what is included in the May Look Incredible deluxe beauty box*;
NARS
First of all, any beauty box that includes one NARS product is a big hit for me. So to find two full size NARS products is almost unbelievable. First up we have the NARS Makeup Primer. This retails for £25 on it's own and is a product that I've wanted to try for quite some time now. I'll be sure to share my thoughts on this and the next NARS product in a dedicated blog post in a couple of weeks time.
Then we have the NARS Eyeshadow Palette in Indian Summer. I've tried NARS eyeshadows in the past and have always been incredibly impressed with the quality and pigmentation. And this one is no different. I also adore the two colours both individually and together. This is £25 when bought on it's own. Did I mention the fact that this whole box is just £35?! More on that later.
Tarte, Guerlain & Chantecaille
Next up we have a brand that I've always wanted to try, as well as one of their most celebrated and best-selling products. When I saw the Tarte Light, Camera, Lashes mascara staring up at me from the box when it first arrived. I couldn't help but smile and get rather excited. I had actually planned on picking this up on my trip to Orlando later in the year so I could try it for the first time. But thanks to the this month's Look Incredible box I can try it right now. And thank goodness I did. I think I might have found a new must-have mascara.
There's usually one hero product in a beauty box, or at least that's how I normally feel when it comes to them. So to have two NARS products and an exclusive brand such as Tarte with a product that retails for £21.50, honestly blows my mind. And that sense of excitement and awe continued when I spotted the absolutely stunning Guerlain Face Powder Brush. This retails for £25.50 ordinarily. And despite it being my first foray into Guerlain, it definitely won't be my last. The bristles are so soft and simply beautiful.
Is it worth the price?
£35 is a little pricier than the other two beauty boxes that I've tried in the past (£15 a month for Look Fantastic and £12.95 (including P&P) for Birchbox). But the promise of receiving only full size products instead of sample and travel sized ones, definitely justifies the price. And when you take into consideration the fact that this month's products tally up to over £120. £35 really does seem like nothing at all. Talk about value for money!
For me, this is pretty much an unbeatable beauty box in terms of value for money, the size of the products included and the brands that have appeared. I can't wait to see what Look Incredible come up with for next month's box.
So what do you think of this edition of the Look Incredible deluxe beauty box? Have you tried any of the products included in the May box? If so, what are your thoughts on them? And which beauty box is your favourite out of the several that are currently on the market?
