Today I'm sharing self tanner for every skin tone. And not just that, ones that come in different formulations. There's lotions, mists and even a mousse. So there should be at least one product for you in there regardless of what you're looking for from a self tanner. And not only that but I've scoured the net to see who has the best deals on each of the products and was really surprised to be met with such incredible savings and prices.
So if you're looking to bag yourself a tan without having to book yourself a plane ticket to a faraway sunny land then today's post is for you.
Garnier Ambre Solaire Light No Streaks Bronzer Self-Tanning Dry Body Mist* £11.92
When it comes to self-tanning for me, I'm all about what's easiest, quickest and most convenient. And that's why I adore Garnier Ambre Solaire's Light Body Mist as much as I do. If you're a little bit lazy, like myself or in a considerable rush to get your self-tanning on. Then this is the product for you. You don't even need to rub this in which is a big big bonus. No orange hands here for you with this product. And when they say no streaks they really do mean it. This is the one self-tanning product that I return to time and time again, year after year. And that's definitely due to the the fact that it gives such a subtle and natural glow to the skin. As well as being as easy as it is to apply. For an incredibly pale redhead like myself, this is perfect. And it doesn't make me go from deathly white to a 'fake' looking colour.
He-Shi Day to Day Light Gradual Tan* £14.50
Another self-tanner for us pale girls or those of us who prefer to build up our tans more gradually. He-Shi's Day To Day Tan, again, looks incredibly natural on the skin whilst giving me that golden Summer glow that I'd never be able to achieve on my own. But what I really love about this product is the fact that it works equally well on the body and on the face. I don't know why I've always been so apprehensive to apply a self-tanner on my face. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I don't want to look like I've been "tangoed". But this is the only self-tanner that I've ever happily applied to my face without any worry or trepidation. All I can say is well done He-Shi!
Xen-Tan Premium Sunless Tan Dark Lotion* £29
From gradual and light self-tanners to one on the darker side of the spectrum, this lotion is for those of us looking for the darkest and deepest natural-looking tan out there. Xen-Tan is a celebrity favourite and a bit of a beauty trade secret. And it's no wonder why to be honest. This is one that you definitely need to get yourself acquainted with if you want to look like you've been seriously worshipping the sun this Summer. As this is a bit too dark for me to test, I left the testing of this lotion to my friend who has nothing but good things to say about it. It goes on evenly and really is perfect for those of us with olive and darker skin tones. She looks like she's been on the holiday of a lifetime in somewhere warm and sunny this Summer. Instead of the often rainy, cold and windy Glasgow.
Garnier Ambre Solaire Original Intense No Streaks Bronzer Self-Tanning Dry Body Mist* £11.22 (Now £4.49 at LookFantastic)
Much like the light version, which I raved about above, the Original Intense shade is another impressive string to Garnier's Ambre Solaire bow. And I have to admit, I've yet to find a better self-tanning mist than Garnier's. But back to the phrase that might be leaving you wondering exactly what it means; 'Original Intense'. When I think intense, in respect to tanning anyway, it conjures up pretty scary thoughts for me and my Casper the Friendly Ghost style colouring. So this was again tested for me by a friend of mine. This is targeted at those with medium to dark skin tones. But it has all of the plus points of the light incarnation. I'll definitely need to pick up the Garnier Ambre Solaire Face Mist at some stage now too. So expect a review of that when I do.
Sunkissed Medium Self-Tan Mousse* £2.99
Now if you're looking for a real bargain when it comes to your self-tanning, one that you can even pick up whilst you're in Primark. Then look no further than Sunkissed's mousse. And for the price, which tends to be around the £3-£4 mark depending on where you find it, this does exactly what you would want it to do. Developing almost instantly, Sunkissed's mousse delivers a natural and healthy looking tan. Which is pretty much ideal for those of us with fair to medium skin. Considering the price, I was really pleasantly surprised by this product. And I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for other products in the Sunkissed line this Summer.
