It seems like every few weeks or even every week, that some new beauty product is released and I've got to be honest, it's hard to keep up. So I thought that I would share some of the top products that have been released recently in dedicated blog posts like this one. And today it's all about new foundations.
Foundation never really used to do it for me. I was totally a concealer as a base kind of gal. But that was before I could ever possibly dream of finding a shade that would be light enough for me. Then one brand in particular, which features in today's post, paved the way for great representation for more than just the 'in the middle' shades. Us on the opposite ends of the spectrum finally had options and not only that but ones that actually matched our skin tones and colours.
And I'm happy to report that those now vast shade ranges and whether they work for whatever skin issues you have, are why these five new foundations deserve a serious shout out.

So let's see why these 5 new foundations are ones to get excited about;
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation in 110 (£27)
Of course the first new foundation in today's blog post had to be Fenty Beauty's latest release. I am a big fan of the original Soft Matte Foundation (see my review here) but in the colder months my skin can get far too dry to be wearing a completely matte base. So when it was revealed that a hydrating foundation was on its way, I was 100% on board.
If you've ever struggled to find a foundation light or dark enough for you, please check out Fenty Beauty! And if you have dry skin that foundation can often cling to, please check out the hydrating foundation! It is available in 50 shades and feels lovely on my drier skin.
The shade match is still spot on for me and my colouring. But it just feels and looks a whole lot better on my skin than the Soft Matte Foundation, which I always enjoyed using. I'm definitely now a Fenty Beauty Hydrating Foundation wearer instead. Fenty Beauty have also released two brand new primers, a hydrating and a mattifying one respectively, both of which are well worth checking out if you're in the market for a new primer.
Milk Makeup Flex Foundation Stick in Snow* (£32)
If you haven't already become familiar with Milk Makeup, let me catch you up with this blog post. The fact that we can now get our hands on Milk Makeup in the UK at Cult Beauty, is still so exciting to me. I used to have to wait until I was next on holiday in the US to get my fix but now it couldn't be easier to try the cult beauty brand.
With 36 shades to choose from, I got the chance to put the two lightest shades, Porcelain and Snow respectively, to the test. Snow was a better match for my undertones. But I was really impressed to see such an expansive shade range from a smaller brand like Milk Makeup.
This is a stick foundation but it's not drying or clingy in any way. It really does flex and blend seamlessly. It's more of a medium coverage but you can obviously choose where you need more or less coverage. It's also so easy to top up your makeup on the go as you can carry this stick without fear of it being too bulky or heavy. Milk Makeup is also vegan, cruelty free and fragrance, alcohol, talc and sulfates free.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation in 1 Cool (£34)
Now to say that people were excited for CT's latest foundation release is a bit of an understatement. This very product had a waitlist of over 17,000 people! Crazy right?! But if you've ever tried one of Charlotte's products, I've got a feeling you might understand why.
As someone who owns and loves Charlotte's two other foundations, the light coverage Light Wonder foundation and the fuller coverage Magic Foundation (see my reviews here), I also eagerly anticipated its release. Available in 44 shades, I would recommend getting colour matched even if you know what shade you are in Charlotte's base products. I'm usually a 1 Fair in her foundations but was matched as Fair Cool for this one. And what a match it is!
It is more of a matte finish, compared to her two other foundations, but it's also hydrating. This gives me a glowing 'my skin but seriously better' look. And I can't get over how weightless it feels on the skin. And that's even with it having fuller coverage. All I can say is, Charlotte has done it again!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation in 110C (£43)
If you're someone who follows all things beauty on Instagram, you will have no doubt seen this very bottle appear on so many feeds recently. And for good reason! Anastasia Beverly Hill's latest foundation release needs to be on your radar.
Luminous is the perfect way to describe how your skin looks when wearing this. But it doesn't make your skin look too shiny. Straight away I now have a foundation to wear when I want my skin to look almost unreal. And what I mean by that; I wouldn't class it as a 'my skin but better' but instead as, what doesn't even look like my skin. In a good way, of course. There are also 50 shades to choose from.
If you're looking for a foundation for a special event, night out or when you know you'll be getting your photo taken; this is it! Also, the bottle and the huge FOUNDATION emblazoned on the side of it, seriously makes it stand out from the rest of my makeup collection.
Urban Decay Stay Naked Foundation in 10NN* (£29.50)
Also available in 50 shades, of which I am the lightest, is Urban Decay's new Stay Naked Foundation. A little really goes a long way with this one and I was surprised by how much I liked it. I wasn't the biggest fan of their All Nighter foundation but this is much more up my street.
It's lightweight and breathable but still gives you some great coverage. Which again can be built up or paired back depending on what you're looking for.
My skin is so soft to the touch, when wearing this and it gives a beautiful natural finish. So if you don't want something too glowy or too matte, this is certainly one to check out. I've also got a feeling that this will work as well on oilier or combination skins as it does my drier skin. And as someone who only really wears Urban Decay eyeshadow or setting spray, this has certainly convinced me to explore more of the brand as a result.
