If you've been reading my blog for a while now, you will know that I have naturally curly/wavy hair that tends to get rather frizzy, if left to its own devices. So I'm always on the lookout for products to help. And because of that, you might be able to imagine how excited I was when I was invited to meet icon and hairdresser to the stars, Sam McKnight to discuss his Hair by Sam McKnight range. And this coincided with the incredible news that Hair by Sam McKnight is now available at Space NK.
I was already a fan of the Cool Girl Barely There Texture Mist. And there are products designed for every hair type and issue within the range. But today I'm going to be focusing on the products that are best suited to curly, wavy and frizzy hair. So, if you also struggle with any of those hair issues, be sure to keep reading.

Hair by Sam McKnight Lazy Girl Biodegradable Hair Cleanse Cloths (£17)
I'll start with what might just be the most revolutionary hair product that I have seen in a long time. If, like me, using dry shampoo only makes your scalp feel irritated or laden with product, let me introduce you to these biodegradable hair cleanse cloths.
Getting rid of excess grease, sweat (after a trip to the gym) or product buildup is as simple as swiping one of these cloths over your roots. You can either gently swipe or dab the cloth and it immediately makes your hair look clean in an instant. And the biggest thing for me, they don't irritate my scalp in the slightest. They also smell incredible, which is a running theme with the entire range. But if you are travelling, go to the gym before work but don't have time to wash and style your hair or would rather have a long lie one morning, you simply have to try these cloths!
Hair by Sam McKnight Happy Endings Nourishing Balm (£36)
Next up we have my absolute favourite from the range. And when you realise that it gets rid of frizz and flyaways, it's no surprise why that is the case. You can use this on wet or dry hair, or do what I do and use it on both. And I have a feeling that this will be a necessity in my haircare routine for many years to come.
Again, it smells incredible. Really, if you're able to get yourself to a Space NK store to smell this range, do it. I promise you won't regret it. This nourishing balm gives you defined waves and curls, while simultaneously smoothing out any frizz. And you don't need a huge amount either. Seriously, if you ever struggle with frizz, particularly when it's humid or rainy or the weather is all over the place, give this product a try!
Hair by Sam McKnight Curl Cleanse Cleansing Conditioner (£34)
Now, I'm not used to using what is technically a 2-in-1 product on my hair. But I have to say, this conditioning shampoo probably makes the biggest difference to my hair, when I only use it and it alone. Even though I'm also a big fan of the separate Rich shampoo and conditioner, which I'll be sharing more about below, this is what I reach for most when I jump in the shower.
It's such a lovely creamy consistency and it leaves my hair looking glossy and defined, instead of its usual frizzy or candy floss-ish appearance. If you have curly, wavy or frizzy hair, this product and the Happy Endings Nourishing Balm truly are must-haves that you really have to try for yourself.
Hair by Sam McKnight Deeper Love Treatment Mask (£48)
If you are looking for a super sumptuous hair mask, this is definitely one to check out. It feels like a true pamper day when I apply this. And for me, this is now a once a week necessity in my haircare and self care routine. I've been using it every Sunday since I received it and again, it really does make a big difference, compared to what my hair was like a few months ago.
My hair feels super soft but manageable, instead of being candy floss soft. And again, the mask and my hair smell absolutely divine when I use this.
Hair by Sam McKnight Rich Cleanse Shampoo (£28)
Hair by Sam McKnight Rich Nourish Conditioner (£28)
Both the Rich shampoo and conditioner are exactly that; rich. However, saying that, they don't weigh the hair down with product either. My hair feels clean but nourished, which isn't something that I'm normally able to achieve with my usual shampoo and conditioner. I tend to be able to get my hair feeling squeaky clean or really hydrated but not both at the same time. I also find that my hair is basically tangle-free when I finish up by using this conditioner. And as someone whose hair can often get really tangled and knotty, this also leads to less hair getting yanked out even when I'm careful with my combing and brushing.
I do tend to reach for the Curl Cleanse Cleansing Conditioner instead of the separate shampoo and conditioner, particularly when I'm in a bit of a rush. But a little really does go a long way with both the shampoo and the conditioner, so I see them lasting me longer than my usual drugstore ones.
So those are my must-try products from Hair by Sam McKnight, especially if you have curly, wavy, textured or frizzy hair.
