Benefit Dandelion Ultra Plush Lip Gloss
I’d wanted to try out one of Benefit’s Ultra Plush lip glosses for quite a while. So I grabbed the chance to get a mini version when it was free with one of my favourite monthly magazines.
Leaving a pearlescent sheen to the lip which I really adore, Dandelion is a gloss unlike any I’ve tried before. It gives your natural lip colour a lovely shine with a little added shimmer. Making it an ideal gloss for everyday wear. It’s definitely glossy but it’s a subtle kind of gloss. So your lips don’t look too shiny or wet.
The biggest thing that instantly puts me off wearing lip glosses is that they are all too often very, very sticky. I don’t know about you. But I’m not a fan of wearing more gloss in my hair than on my lips when the wind blows. I wore Dandelion on a pretty windy day. And I could not believe that very little, if none at all, had got stuck to my hair. For me, that makes it a winner. Plus the formula was thicker than I expected it to be. Which was a nice surprise.
It tends to last me a good couple of hours before I feel like I need to reapply it. Which is pretty good considering glosses normally only last about half an hour on me for some reason.
I got this as a freebie in the December edition of ELLE magazine. So if you want to try out certain Benefit products before you buy the full size. Then I would definitely recommend keeping an eye out for magazine freebies. I’ll definitely be trying out more of their glosses when this one runs out.
You can get the full size glosses from Benefit for £14.50 which may seem quite pricey. But considering how well I found it to perform I think I would be happy to pay that price. They do say you get what you pay for. And I think that is wholly applicable to this brand.
