unineed review

As mentioned in my most recent haul post, my Fragrance Direct haul. I've done quite a few haul posts over the past month or so, namely because of the amount of shopping that I did in New York. So when Unineed got in touch to see if I'd like to receive a mystery beauty haul from them I was really intrigued and excited.

If you're not familiar with Unineed, they're a beauty and fashion online retailer, based in my hometown of Glasgow, who stock over 250 brands. You'll find skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrance and even handbags and accessories, with lots of great savings to be had.

So let's see what they sent over;

ysl touche eclat limited edition

YSL Limited Edition Touche Éclat*

Despite blogging about beauty for almost four years now, I've actually never properly tried or reviewed YSL's iconic Touche Éclat. I have given it a swatch on several occasions. But I never felt the inclination to try it myself. My Mum, on the other hand, who also swatches it every time we pass by a YSL counter whilst out shopping, has always wanted to try it. For some reason I never think to gift my Mum beauty products at Christmas or on her birthday. Mainly because I give her any press samples that are just too dark for my complexion or products that just don't really work for me. But seeing this packaged like this has made me rethink that.

This is the limited edition star collection Touche Éclat and the packaging immediately reminded me of the Pat McGrath kits in a very good way. I mean, imagine receiving this for Christmas or in the run up to the party season? Hopefully my Mum won't see this blog post. As I think I might just need to hide this away until Christmas morning for her. Plus, like me, she's a bit of a magpie. So she will very much appreciate the sparkly star packaging.

nyx high voltage lipsticks review

NYX High Voltage Lipsticks* (£2.75 instead of £5.50)

As you will have already seen if you read Ellis Tuesday on a regular basis. Or follow me on social media. 2017 was the year that I discovered NYX and in a big way. Their products finally became readily available at Boots counters across the country (hello big Boots haul!) And then I went a little lip crazy when I paid the standalone NYX store in NYC a visit. Even though some of their products have quickly become some of my all-time favourites. I hadn't actually strayed too far away from the soft matte lip creams and butter glosses, when it came to their lip products. And for some reason or another, hadn't paid their traditional lipsticks too much attention, until now.

These are so so comfortable on the lips. And the pigmentation is unreal, especially when you consider how affordable they are! I particularly adore Tiara, which is such a me shade. But I can't wait to wear Mirage in the colder months and how beautiful will Beam be come Spring?!

Olay Regenerist 3-Point Super Cleansing Kit review

Olay Regenerist 3-Point Super Cleansing Kit* (£11.35 instead of £39.99)

I have to admit, I haven't actually tried anything from Olay before. However, I have been loving using a cleansing brush to care for my skin, as seen in my self care blog post. This kit is a great way to introduce a cleansing brush into your routine without having to spend a lot to do so. And at just £11.35 on Unineed, instead of £39.99 like it is regularly. It's simply too good a deal to resist!

this works deep sleep pillow spray review

Caudalie Eau De Raisin Grape Water*

You'll have also seen, if you read my latest Sephora haul, that I treated myself to a couple of Caudalie bits when I was in the US. Having circulation issues weirdly means that I get a roasting hot nose. And an almost butterfly style red rash across my nose and cheeks in the colder months. It's highly annoying as it's the only part of me that's red hot in the cold Autumn/Winter months. And there's no real way for me to cool it down whilst going about my day to day business. But I think I may have just found the product to help me out. My skin feels soothed and cooled without having to apply lots of different products or a cold compress. Another score for Caudalie!

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray* (£16 instead of £18)

Speaking of impressive products, I now finally understand the hype and holy grail status surrounding this product. I've had my eye on it for years now but could never really justify the almost £20 price tag. But my oh my is it good. It's actually transformed my bedtime routine if you can believe it. Some nights I was heading to bed early solely to switch from one screen (the TV) to another (aka. my phone screen).

Surely I can't be the only one who gets sucked into a YouTube vacuum. Where half an hour of watching soon turns into hours and all of a sudden it's after midnight and I'm watching conspiracy theory and true crime videos. Which ultimately stop me sleeping soundly that night. By spritzing this on my pillow I've now been getting into the habit of thinking of my bed as somewhere to sleep (I know, revolutionary eh?) I've found it easier to drift off and have had better sleeps since.

And I think it must have something to do with switching up my bedtime routine and only going to bed when I'm tired now. I'll definitely be stocking up on this stuff and I have my fingers crossed that This Works do Christmas gift sets! Even having £2 off it on Unineed certainly makes it easier to think about about treating myself to it once this one runs out.

luxury beauty haul

A huge thank you to the team at Unineed for sending this mystery parcel over to me to try and review. They did such a great job at picking out these pieces, especially as I hadn't tried any of them before. And I've definitely found a few new favourites as a result.

What do you think of some of the beauty brands and products that Unineed stock? Where do you typically buy your beauty bits from? And are you a fan of haul posts popping up more regularly on Ellis Tuesday?
