Nails Inc Nail Polish Diary: June

Nails Inc Nail Polish Diary: June Nails Inc Chester Feather Effect Polish Beauty Review

Nails Inc Chester Feather Effect Polish Was £11 Now £5

June's polish is this beautiful feather effect. I'm now officially half way through the Nail Polish Diary which is pretty unbelievable. How we are half way through 2014 already? Is it just me who feels like this year is flying by in an instant?

Back onto the polish itself. I remember when the feathers collection was first released and I instantly fell in love with the pretty pastel feather-like flecks. The one I was actually the most excited to try out was the one which ended up being included in the Nail Polish Diary, so that worked out pretty well for me. Hehe. What really caught my eye about this range of polishes, above and beyond the feathers effect itself, was the stunning bottle design. The font used to emblazon 'Feathers' across the front of the bottle is absolutely gorgeous and just look at that cap! The white sketched feathers and a funky tropical looking bird, on the trademark Nails Inc silver cap, is such a change from the norm for Nails Inc and I really like it.

Nails Inc Nail Polish Diary: June Nails Inc Chester Feather Effect Polish Beauty Review Swatch

I don't normally take a close up photograph for my Nail Polish Diary blog posts but I just had to show you what it looks like up close (plus the feathers themselves do kind of blend into the sparkly Nail Polish Diary above).

I adore how intricate the strands of colours are. Saying that, this is definitely more of a top coat rather than a polish on it's own, so I would bear that in mind just in case you think you would easily achieve the feathers look to cover the entire nail. It looks amazing over neutral shades and even better over pastel shades to pick up the pastel colours of the feathers themselves. The polish also dries incredibly quickly. Now this is great, if like me, you are often put off by top coats which take quite a while to dry. You certainly don't have that problem here.

Whilst this was part of the Nails Inc Nail Polish Diary (which is currently on sale on the Nails Inc website (link here)) this polish is available to buy from the Nails Inc website for only £5. So if you want to get your hands on either the Nails Polish Diary or the feather effect polish then I would definitely head over to the Nails Inc website sooner rather than later.

What do you think of this polish? Have you tried any of the feathers collection? If so, what did you think of them? Are you a fan of top coats like this?

  2. That actually looks like feathers! Massive rareity, although I always get stuck what to put on the bottom when the top coats are multi- coloured. Great blog though!

  3. I'm not sure the feather effect is for me. I'm terrible with any textured nail polish... it just makes me want to pick the varnish off my nails. Gross and not very pretty! I should probably stick to shiny and creme.
