La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+]

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo +

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+]* £15.50

I was very kindly given the opportunity to review the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+] by Escentual and I am so glad that this was the product they sent my way. I had seen a lot of buzz around this product so I was intrigued to find out whether or not it truly lived up to the incredible hype.

I've been using the Effaclar Duo [+] for around two weeks now and I've been completely blown away by the way it has improved my skin. I'm pretty lucky that I only get the odd blemish but I do always seem to get one huge and highly noticeable blemish whenever I have anything important to go to. Why does that always happen?

My main problem when it comes to blemishes is that I can often feel them lurking under the skin, ready to erupt at any given moment. Sometimes they don't even turn into actual spots but instead I can just feel them under the skin which is never too pleasant. This is really no longer a problem for me and I've only been using the Effaclar Duo [+] for just over two weeks.

I've been applying the product morning and night. A little really does go a long way for me. I think the first time I applied it I did so just a little bit too copiously and realised quite quickly that I didn't need that much at all. I apply it all over and then put just a couple of extra dots of product on real problem areas like current blemishes or the little bits of scarring left over from previous blemishes. That is another added bonus of the Effaclar Duo [+] in comparison to it's predecessor. The Duo [+] fights against residual marks and I've noticed a vast improvement when it comes to a little scar that I have at the tip of my nose which is now basically untraceable, even to me. It also clears up any visible redness I have and did this in only a few days. I could say dream skincare product here and I will! I genuinely can't believe how quickly and how effectively this has been working for me.

You can buy the Effaclar Duo [+] from Escentual for £15.50 who also stock the entire La Roche-Posay range if you want to stock up on some of your favourite items. They also stock some French Pharmacy favourites, so if you want to try out Bioderma, Avene or Vichy (to name but a few) and never thought you could easily get a hold of them then head over to Escentual.com

Have you tried the Effaclar Duo [+] and if so, what did you think of it? Is your skin prone to break outs and blemishes? And have you tried any more of the La Roche-Posay range? I'm so tempted to try out many, many more of their products very soon!

  1. I really want to try this! I like the original Effaclar Duo but always seem to have problems with redness/marks from previous blemishes, so this version sounds even better! x

    1. I never tried the original but I would definitely say that this is one product that you need to try! :) I couldn't believe that it improved my skin as much as it did and that was all in less than a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see how it works over a longer period of time.

  2. I'm loving this too! Only had it a couple of weeks so going to review soon but I'm really enjoying using it. The original Effaclar Duo was one of my fave finds of last year. Great review and love your photography too x

  3. Lovely review and so lucky you got this one sent. I tried the entire La Roche Posay Effaclar solution for acne, but I didn't really see any big improvements, it was okay, but I'm not buying it again. I kind of want to try the Effaclar Duo + and hoping it will work better than the original. I have a lot of problems around my mouth so hopefully this could work :)

    1. I don't have acne so I can't comment on it working on acne. I only get the occasional blemish and many under the skin that don't surface.
I hope you find something that works for you soon lovely! :)

  8. Is it moisturising enough Ellis??? Whenever I try a blemish product they leave my skin dry which is worse as my skin is already dry.

This is another one that I want to try because of all the hype and the good reviews. I have a very long list of items that I want to try. I just need someone to fund these products LOL.

  10. I haven't tried out this duo. I have blemishes and years ago I applied for months the Avène anti-blemish treatment, but I didn't appreciate any improvement. Maybe I could try this one. Thanks for the review!

  11. Great review :) I have quite dry and sensitive skin which is blemish prone and this works wonders for me. Totally agree with how it helps under the skin blemishes as well. I still get spots but a lot less than before I started using this and they don't linger around as long.
