This Has Been: Florida

This Has Been: Florida Instagram Orlando Sephora Wal-Mart Vacation Holiday

If you follow me on instagram (@ellistuesday) or on twitter (@ellistuesday) then you might already be well aware that I travelled to Florida for three weeks at the end of September, arriving back a little over a week ago. Since I normally do a monthly instagram catch-up post (link here for previous This Has Been posts) but as a result of being on holiday, missed the September post, I knew exactly what I could do to combine the months of September and October in an instagram fashion; This Has Been: Florida. So here are a couple of snaps from my trip to the Sunshine State through the medium of instagram.

When it comes to food in the US, I definitely had a 'Treat Yo' Self' mentality at all times, as you might be able to tell from the sights above.
My stomach is rumbling just looking at these photographs.

Despite having been to Florida on a number of occasions in the past, there is always something new to discover and somewhere exciting to explore.
We went to Downtown Disney for the first time and it was so magical. I'm thinking of doing a stand alone post on what to do and see in Downtown Disney and other areas of Florida, if that is something that might interest you?
We were also pretty lucky that there wasn't a single drop of rain on our final week. After landing in weather conditions that transformed Orlando into a doppelganger for the place I'd just departed from; Glasgow, the weather did improve from afternoon rainstorms to blistering sunshine and heat over the course of the holiday.

So to say I went shopping a couple of times would definitely be a bit of an understatement. The fact that I will be posting four (yes four!) separate Florida shopping haul posts on the next four upcoming Sundays, says it all really. There will be a Sephora haul, a more general beauty haul including drugstore buys and what I picked up in the Victoria's Secret beauty section and two hauls designated to fashion and miscellaneous pieces (ie. books, homeware, DVDs and even a cuddly toy or three).
I'm also thinking of doing a Florida/United States shopping tips post. Something along the lines of a guide to the best stores/malls to head to, how to get big savings and discounts and what you need to check out whilst you're there, shopping-wise. If that is the kind of post that you would like to see, then please let me know by leaving a comment below.

Have you ever been to Florida? If so, what are your favourite places to visit whilst you're there? I'm already saving for my next trip there. Where are you next planning on travelling to?
