mothers day gift ideas

It's only a few weeks until Mother's Day on Sunday March 10th. And I'm taking you with me to St. Enoch Centre in Glasgow City Centre to show you just some of the great gifting options available this year. Whether your Mum loves all things beauty, getting absorbed in a good book or has a specific hobby, there's something for every Mum and every budget.

So, keep reading to see some of my top Mother's Day gift picks from St. Enoch.

Lovisa

First up we have a store that just opened in St. Enoch this month and that is Lovisa. My eyes almost didn't know where to look when I first stepped in the door, there were that many incredible pieces that stood out. I was particularly impressed by their Premium range, which featured freshwater pearls (my Mum's favourite when it comes to jewellery), sterling silver and gold plated pieces. They also have lots of lovely gift sets too, to make gifting even easier.

And I think gifting your chosen earrings, ring, bracelet or necklaces in one of their faux leather jewellery boxes would be such a nice touch. This lilac one had plenty of space for everything and would work equally well on top of her bedroom vanity as it would in her suitcase when she travels.

Klass

Next I popped into Klass, which had some beautiful new prints for spring/summer. If your Mum has any special occasions coming up or is looking to refresh her wardrobe, there are some gorgeous dresses, like this floral style. And how chic are their Chanel-esque boucle jackets?

If you're not sure of sizing, you could always grab a St. Enoch gift card and come back for a mother/daughter shopping day out to treat her in person.

Boots

Boots have so many fantastic gift sets at this time of year. And treating your Mum to some of her favourite makeup, skincare, fragrance or haircare items, at a much more affordable price then buying them separately, makes such a difference. There's normally a few products that she hasn't tried included in these sort of gift sets. So it's a great way for her to try new products from some of her most beloved brands.

Lancome, Liz Earle and Clarins' Mother's Day offerings really stood out. It was also such a nice surprise to see that Boots now stock Rituals, as we both love their Sakura fragrance. I ended up grabbing the Feather & Down Sleeping Bag gift set, which comes with a pillow spray, sleep balm, shower cream and eye mask. My Mum can often struggle to drift off, especially after a hectic day. So, I thought that she would really appreciate this set. The products also smell divine.

The Works

If your Mum is anything like mine and loves to read, a trip to The Works is a must. We try to stop into The Works every time that we visit St. Enoch as they frequently add new and exciting titles to their shelves. On this trip, I spotted some of my Mum's personal favourites; The Housemaid by Freida McFadden and The Institution by Helen Fields.

But I picked up The Vicious Circle by Katherine St. John and The Witches of Wardo by Anya Bergman for her Mother's Day. At just £3 each, you really can't go wrong.

TJ Hughes

Looking to treat your Mum to some cosy pyjamas or socks? TJ Hughes has got you covered. I really loved these purple checked pyjamas, which are wrapped up perfectly. And as my Mum loves purple, the super soft purple star option was what came home with me.

Hotel Chocolat

Would it be Mother's Day without some decadent sweet treats and chocolate? Not in our house. And Hotel Chocolat have something for every taste. My Mum personally loves their Salted Caramel Puddles. But both A Dozen Dapper Dogs and the Happy Mother's Day collection looked and sounded incredible.

If you're going all out when it comes to your Mother's Day gifting and she's partial to a good hot chocolate, then of course there's the iconic Velvetiser. I mean, just imagine how happy she would be to open up that gift on Mothering Sunday! There are lots of great flavours to choose from too.

Søstrene Grene

Finally, we have what might just be my favourite store in the whole of St. Enoch; Søstrene Grene. And for Mother's Day gifting specifically, there are so many incredible options. For example, if your Mum is a gardener, baker or loves to knit, there are dedicated sections for each, where you'll find lots of great bits and bobs. From home decor and candles/candle holders, to stationery, hair accessories, hand creams, sweet treats and slippers, you'll honestly be spoiled for choice.

In our household, we try to wrap our gifts in items that can be reused, which is why we always pick up Søstrene Grene's gift boxes. Not only do they come in the prettiest of patterns. But you can then reuse them to store everything from important documents to little odds and ends. So, why not grab a basket or gift box and fill it with some gifts that you know she'll love. Here are just a few of the bits that made it into my Mum's gift box this year;
