The Look Incredible October Beauty Box

look incredible beauty box

You might remember, if you've been reading Ellis Tuesday for a while now, that I used to regularly feature beauty box reviews on here. Sadly I found myself feeling less and less impressed with them, particularly those of the subscription variety but there were two, both of which you buy on a one time deal basis, that continued to impress and excite me and they were the QVC Tili box and the Look Incredible box and I will be reviewing the latest one from the latter today.

What I really like about Look Incredible's boxes is the fact that you can choose between the black box, which this one is on this occasion and the deluxe box, which I've already signed up for for next month. At £25 for this particular box and it being a one off payment instead of a subscription that you're tied into, you don't need to worry about being disappointed on an almost monthly basis, like I had been with other subscription services. But let's get onto what's in this month's box;

First up I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw one of Sleek's brand new gift sets, which have only just been released in the run up to the festive season this year. I'd actually had my eye on this particular set after spying it at Boots on a recent shopping trip, so was over the moon to find it in this month's box. You get the iconic Solstice Highlighting Palette and one of their brilliant Matte Me lips in such a gorgeous shade. And when you consider the fact that this gift set alone is £12.50 you can see how good value the Look Incredible box is.

Then we have two other makeup items; a lovely nude Lord & Berry Ultimate lip liner and a staple nail polish in the form of this Clinique Nail Enamel in Party Red. Both of which I was really happy to receive as both brands are well known, again something that can't always be said of subscription boxes.

Living Proof are a brand that I've wanted to try more of for quite some time now and I always find myself gravitating towards their stands in the likes of Sephora in the US and Marks & Spencer here in the UK but for some reason or another I get distracted by something else and completely forget to pick anything up. Recently I've experienced some hair loss, something I might discuss in more detail in a separate blog post, so having a thickening cream to hand has made me feel a lot better about making my hair look fuller and more voluminous.

And last but not least we have one of The Body Shop's staple products; their exfoliating sugar body scrub, this time in the shea variety. I've actually been meaning to pick up a new body scrub, having just finished my last tub of Soap & Glory's Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub so this couldn't have been better timing. I actually hadn't tried any of The Body Shop's scrubs before but I will definitely be going back for another when this one is done. Surely I can't be the only one who's skin gets that bit more scalier in the colder months? Hopefully this will help to combat that this year.

So there you have it; the standard Look Incredible Beauty Box for this month.

Are you a fan of beauty boxes? If so, which ones do you go for? If not, does a stand alone box instead of a subscription one sound more appealing to you? And have you tried any of the products in today's blog post?
