How To Blend Your Foundation Like A Pro

bareminerals barepro liquid foundation review

As someone who never used to wear foundation, I still feel a bit like a newbie when it comes to this particular beauty product. Whilst some people only apply theirs with a Beautyblender or similar blending sponge, others rely solely on their favourite makeup brush but up until very recently, I hadn't quite found a form of application that worked for me. That was until Magnitone released the BlendUp Vibra-Sonic Makeup Blending Brush*.

Launching on the first of this month, I was very kindly sent this product in advance of it's official launch as part of the ambassador programme. Before becoming a Magnitone ambassador, I was already a huge fan of their Barefaced cleansing brush so it was no surprise that I fell in love with this makeup brush almost immediately. Using the same Vibra-Sonic technology, the BlendUp brush pulses and massages with over 250 movements per second to create that perfectly airbrushed finish.

I've been putting this to the test alongside another new launch, the bareMinerals BAREPRO liquid foundation and the two really do work hand in hand to leave me with a finish that before now, I could only really dream of. I hadn't tried any of bareMinerals foundations before now, apart from the Complexion Rescue but I am now sorely tempted to try both the BARESKIN and the BLEMISH REMEDY, as a result. It's also a really good colour match, something that can't be said for all foundations when it comes to me and my incredibly fair skin. And speaking of trying other foundations, what I also really appreciate about the BlendUp brush is the fact that you can also use it with liquid or powder foundation, as well as with tinted moisturisers, primers, concealers and BB/CC creams.

Another big bonus, as someone who can often get a little bit lazy when it comes to cleaning their makeup brushes on a regular basis; it has a self-cleaning mode. If you often neglect cleaning your brushes solely because of the amount of time and effort that it takes, then this could be the ideal solution for you.

The brush comes with a SmoothBLEND brush head, which is a nice universal type of brush head but there are also two other brush heads available to purchase. These are the BuffBLEND and FeatherBLEND respectively. Hopefully you can see it vibrating in the photograph above. It also comes with a USB charger and is available in black, as pictured, or white.

So there you have it, two products which have finally allowed me to blend my foundation like a pro.

Do you struggle to get that flawless finish when it comes to your foundation? Does the sound of an electric makeup brush sound intriguing to you? And have you tried anything from Magnitone before? If so, what did you think?
