This Has Been: February

I finally got my hair cut - I was Cocoa Brown's Blogger Of The Week at the start of the month - This happens far too often for my liking - It's all about the Popcorn Chicken these days - The Real Technique's Bold Metals Collection has been a constant source of temptation - I cannot believe that Ellis Tuesday has had over 200,000 views in just over a year - The Mother's Day range at Lush is really out of this world - I managed to get my hands on the camera bag of my dreams from Accessorize after a lengthy search - Such a lovely birthday treat from the Becky White PR team - I turned 23!! - Such a great deal in Superdrug - Valentine's gingerbread hearts (link here) - I'm sharing more sneak peeks from my internship over on the Becky White PR blog - Potentially the best bargain that I've ever found - What I Got For My Birthday (link here) - Lush treats - Say what?! - My new pilates getup thanks to New Look - I finally managed to find the Maybelline concealer in my shade this month - My NYFW round up is over on the Becky White PR blog - MAC browsing - Primark Sooty pyjamas - Better Call Saul - Taking advantage of another amazing deal

February is always one of my favourite months of the year, mostly because it's my birthday month. And this February was definitely an eventful one. First of all, I finally got my hair chopped. It's certainly the shortest that it's been in years and I'm absolutely loving it at this length. I'm even tempted to go a little shorter. Shall I be brave? I had a lovely birthday and spent the majority of the day itself consuming more food and birthday cake than I thought was humanly possible. Good thing I'm not on a diet! February was also the month of some amazing bargains! I got so many fantastic clearance buys in Boots (find out all about them here) and on Wednesday I managed to nab the Urban Decay Naked On The Run palette for £25 thanks to a 30% off promotion with Debenhams.

Blog wise, there's also been a few exciting moments. Ellis Tuesday has now had over 200,000 views, which honestly blows my mind. And I was also Cocoa Brown's Blogger Of The Week, this month, which was really fun.

What was your February like? Please feel free to send me your instagram links and I'll be sure to check them out.

Degustabox: The Healthy Box

Degustabox The Healthy Box Review

January's Degustabox aka. 'The Healthy Box' is packed full of lots of exciting products, many of which I had never heard of until opening this month's box. As with every Degustabox review that I do, I have a fantastic and exclusive discount code for you to use to take £3 off the £12.99 price tag. All you have to do is enter the code D3G74 when you register.

So let's get down to business. What exactly did 'The Healthy Box' include?

Degustabox January 2015 Review

From left to right: Top row: Finn Crisp Original Crispbread - Sukrin Sunflower and Pumpkin Seed Bread Mix - Food Mornflake Top Porridge (With Nutella)
Bottom row: Haywards Picalilli - Kabuto Chicken Ramen Noodles - Food Mornflake Top Porridge (With Golden Syrup) - Clipper Green Tea

Degustabox Review January 2015

From left to right: Little Miracles Organic Energy Drinks - Alfa One Rice Bran Oil - Simplee Aloe Vera Drink - Koko Dairy Free - Magners Light Orchard Berries

I've definitely discovered some products that I know that I'll continue to buy. The Kabuto noodles in particular are in a whole league of their own when it comes to the traditional cup of noodles idea. I quickly devoured my Degustabox portion, that quickly that I ate it the very night that the box arrived (I broke my cardinal rule of normally having to wait until I'd photographed everything before trying it out, it was that good). And there are some great alternatives to food and drink that I would usually consume but with significantly less calories, fat, sugar and salt. So it really is win win with this healthy take on the Degustabox.

Another attribute of this particular box that I really like is the fact that there are products to take you from the moment that you wake up (Nutella topped porridge will definitely make the morning that much more bearable), right through the day (who's for crispbread's?) and well into the evening (that's where the Magners and Kabuto noodles come into play). The only product that I'm still a little bit dubious of is the Picalilli. I think that it might be the colour that is putting me off, so I might let someone else enjoy that. But apart from that, 'The Healthy Box' has been a hit, even if I'm not really the healthiest of people.

Have you been trying to eat healthier this year? What do you think of the products in this month's Degustabox? Have you tried any of them before?

My Big Savings Boots Haul

Boots Beauty Haul

From left to right: Top row: Soap & Glory Eyes Cool Gel Eye Mask £6 - Soap & Glory SUPERCAT Fat Jumbo Carbon Black Ink Eyeliner £7 - Soap & Glory Kick Ass Blur And Brighten Crayon £6 - Soap & Glory SUPERCAT Eyeliner Extreme £6 - Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish £9.99 (£1 on clearance)
Bottom row: Origins Mask Marvels Gift Set Was £50 (£10 on clearance) - Smashbox Primer Try It Kit Was £15 (£7.50 on clearance) - Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer £7.99 - Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter £7 - Soap & Glory Calm One Calm All Bubble Bath £6 (£2 on clearance)

So it's safe to say that I've done some serious hauling at the drugstore (primarily Boots, where all of this was purchased from) in the past couple of weeks and as you can see, I also took advantage of some unbelievable clearance deals. I actually had to pinch myself when I saw some of the clearance prices (Origins Mask Marvels Gift Set, I'm looking at you). So I thought that I would share my purchases with you and see if there were any that you would like to see me review. I have a feeling that I will be reviewing the products over the next couple of weeks and months but let me know if there are any that you would like me to fast-track.

Clearly I just so happened to be in the right place at the right time when it came to the clearance deals that I managed to bag. Well I did find the clearance bargains right before I had an appointment at the dental hospital so maybe that has something to do with my surprising lucky streak. Who knows? Hehe. I somehow managed to save over £60 when it came to the clearance products alone, which really is unreal and that's not even taking into consideration the 3 for 2 deal savings on the Soap & Glory make-up. And on top of all that, I accumulated advantage card points too. This is why I absolutely love shopping in Boots.

What do you think of the products that I managed to pick up? Have you tried any of them out? If so, what do you think of them? And which product(s) would you like me to review first?

What I've Been Watching In: February

Pan Am (2011)
Starring: Christina Ricci, Margot Robbie, Kelli Garner, Karine Vanasse
When it comes to TV shows that were cruelly cancelled before they even got the chance to really get going, Pan Am tops this list for me every time. Me and my mum both loved this show and would watch it religiously every week when it first aired here in the UK, so of course I had to buy it for my mum's Christmas present. And we have absolutely adored reacquainting ourselves with Pan Am over the past month.
Pan Am chronicles the lives of the Pan Am stewardesses and pilots at the start of the 1960's. From the storylines to the characters, to the fashion and hairstyles, this show really is just perfection for me. I honestly cannot recommend this TV show highly enough!

Scatter My Ashes At Bergdorf's (2013)
Starring: William Fichtner (as narrator)
After seeing Charlotte (Colours and Carousels - link here) feature this fashion documentary on her blog a couple of months ago, I bookmarked that particular blog post to make sure that I didn't forget about it and finally got around to watching the documentary this month. If you love fashion or enjoy fashion based documentaries (I think that The September Issue will always be my favourite), then I have a feeling that you will really enjoy this.
Bergdorf Goodman's is a New York Department store that I have always heard about but unlike many of the other US department stores, like Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Sak's Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf's is a New York institution which appears in NYC alone.
Expect cameos from all of the big designers; Michael Kors, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford to name but a few, as well as celebrities such as Candice Bergen, Nicole Richie, Joan Rivers, Susan Lucci and more.
This really is a must-see for fashion fanatics!

Revenge (2011-)
Starring: Emily Van Camp, Madeleine Stowe, Gabriel Mann, Nick Wechsler
Believe it or not, I hadn't heard a great deal about this show but when I just so happened to stumble across it on Netflix one night, I gave it a go and after just one episode I was completely hooked. And unlike with Pan Am, I have the real luxury that there are three further seasons to watch, two of which are currently on Netflix. So this is definitely a show that I plan on binge watching in the upcoming weeks/months.
Emily Thorne (Emily Van Camp) returns to The Hamptons (cue all of the real estate jealousy) to seek revenge for the way in which her father was treated by the very individuals she's now 'be-friending.' With every episode a little more is revealed regarding this, which really does keep you hooked.
It's also amazing to see Ashley Madekwe (aka. blogger Ring My Bell) in this, especially as I have read her incredible blog for years now.
This is another show that I would certainly recommend watching.

Palo Alto Review

Property Brothers (2011-)
Starring: Drew Scott, Jonathon Silver Scott
Okay so this has quickly become a bit of an obsession of mine. Damn you Netflix! Haha.
The Property Brothers are twins with a knack for real estate. One (Drew) is a realtor (American term for estate agent) and the other (Jonathon) is a contractor who comes up with some pretty spectacular designs and then makes them come to life. They help prospective buyers create their dream homes and they're all about the fixer-uppers and big renovations which makes the end results really exciting to see and some of the transformations are just truly unbelievable. Watching it instantly makes me want to start knocking down walls and creating my own dream home. If only that was a possibility! And if I didn't already want to move out of the family home and completely design and decorate my own space, I now do.

Palo Alto (2013)
Starring: Jack Kilmer, Nat Wolff, Emma Roberts, James Franco
I actually bought this DVD whilst I was in Florida a few months ago (link here) and like many of the movies and TV shows that appear in this month's blog post, I finally got around to watching it this month.
For me, Emma Roberts really is the stand-out star of Palo Alto. That isn't to say that I didn't swoon when watching the scenes in which James Franco appears but then again, I am a pretty big fan of his. Palo Alto seems like a pretty realistic portrayal of what it's like to be a teen in the US these days (well a certain teen in a certain area of the US, I guess), mostly because you actually feel like these characters could and probably do exist. I feel like such an OAP writing that! Hehe. I may only be 23 but my teenage years definitely feel like another lifetime, not that I was getting up to anything as exhilarating or 'cool' as the teens in Palo Alto are.

The Jump (2015)
Starring: Joey Essex, Mike Tindall, Louise Hazel, Louise Thompson (and a whole host of other celebrities)
Okay, so this is guilty pleasure TV at it's very best and has to be one of the most entertaining TV shows that I've watched in a long time, especially when it comes to the reality TV format. I have to admit, I did switch on The Jump on that very first night to watch one contestant and one contestant alone; Steve-O. I have a feeling that I've professed my love for the Jackass guys at least a couple of times on here before, so I won't go into any more detail about that here but this was honestly such a fun show to watch. There was also a definite element of danger, which might have made it even more entertaining and the celebrities managed to pull of some seriously impressive feats in terms of the winter sports that they were attempting.
You can watch the entire series on 4OD.

What have you been watching this month? Do you have any recommendations? Have you seen any of these? If so, what did you think of them?

My Pilates Playlist With New Look

Pilates Playlist

When New Look asked me to put together a playlist of my favourite songs to work out to I was really excited to share some of my favourite songs to listen to whilst I'm doing my exercise of choice; pilates. I've been incorporating pilates into my life ever since finding out that I have joint hypermobility and subsequently attending physiotherapy appointments to help alleviate the issues that it was giving me. My physiotherapist was keen to introduce pilates based exercises into my daily routine and ever since then I've been a definite pilates convert. I'm not the fittest of individuals and the last time that I stepped into a gym I actually fainted (I wonder why I haven't been back since hehe) which is why pilates is perfect for me. You can certainly feel the difference but it's obviously not as high intensity as the workouts/classes that honestly scare someone like me, who has previously never gotten on with those kinds of activities. And as an added benefit, it doesn't put too much pressure or strain on my joints either.

New Look Grey Joggers

Unlike traditional pilates music (you know the type; pan pipes or classical music), when I'm in the comfort of my living room working through my daily routine of stretches and exercises, I like to keep myself motivated and engaged by playing some of my favourite songs, albeit ones that aren't too energetic or high-energy. So here they are. Some have been part of my Pilates playlist for months now and others are more recent additions:

New Look Workout

New Look White Pocket Front T-Shirt* £6.99 - New Look Grey Jersey Space Dye Joggers* £17.99

New Look also gave me the incredible opportunity to showcase some pieces from their sportswear collection. And I have to say, I'm really impressed with the range that they carry. I don't know about you but workout gear isn't exactly at the top of my list of priorities when I go clothes shopping. I definitely get distracted by so many other things that even if I'm meant to be shopping for workout leggings etc. I tend to get sidetracked pretty quickly. So to know that New Look, a shop that I visit every single time that I go clothes shopping, has such a great range, certainly means that I won't forget to get myself kitted out with better workout clothing. The range also definitely bridges the gap between pricey professional workout gear (especially if you don't necessarily need that kind of sportswear) and the likes of cheaper retailers. I mean, how incredible are these grey jersey space dye joggers? And at less than £20 who can complain? I also paired them with a simple white t-shirt which is so incredibly soft and doesn't cling to you at all mid-workout.

Pilates Workout Clothes

So what kind of music do you like to listen to when you work out? Do you have specific playlists dedicated to your favourite workout songs? And what do you think of my new and improved workout clothes? Have you checked out the sportswear collection in New Look before?

What I Got For My Birthday

It was my 23rd birthday on Wednesday (cue me singing Blink 182's 'What's My Age Again?' and specifically the line "nobody likes you when you're 23" for most of the day). Since so many of you enjoyed reading my What I Got For Christmas post (link here), I thought that I would do a What I Got For My Birthday post too. So here's what I got for my birthday this year;

Disney Bambi Thumper Cushion

Disney Bambi Thumper Cushion
How adorable is this Thumper cushion? I originally saw it on Becky's blog (link here) and despite the fact that it was my 23rd birthday instead of my 3rd birthday, I made sure to leave more than enough hints that Thumper would be the perfect birthday present for me and here he is.

Bates Motel Girls Gone Girl DVDs

Bates Motel Season 1-2 DVD - Girls Season 3 DVD - Gone Girl DVD
It wouldn't be a birthday for me without some new DVDs and these are ones that I've wanted to add to my collection for quite some time now. I'm so excited to see what happens in season 2 of Bates Motel and can't wait to catch up on season 3 of Girls, despite already seeing it last year. And the one movie that I've been dying to see; Gone Girl, will be getting watched this weekend with what's left of my birthday cake by my side. Hehe. I can't wait to see if the movie lives up to all of the hype.

Lush Unicorn Horn Bubble Bars Soap & Glory

Lush Unicorn Horns - Soap & Glory Birthday Washes Gift Set
Here are the beautiful beauty bits that I received for my birthday this year! I can't wait to run myself a long bath and pop in one of the Unicorn Horn Bubble Bars from Lush this weekend. And how adorable is the unicorn birthday card from the BWPR team that I featured above? It's from Ohh Deer just in case you've also fallen in love with how cute it is. And the amazing girls at Soap & Glory just happened to send me such a lovely birthday present too. You girls are the best!!

Photography Essentials

USB Adapter - Sandisk 32GB Memory Card - Camera Case
If you happened to see my birthday wishlist blog post (link here) then you will know that I included quite a few camera related products in it, ones that I hoped would make their way to me for my birthday and here they are.
I can finally stop using one memory card between my camera and my phone (that was definitely becoming a bit of a faff) and I also now have a great little case to keep my camera safe and sound in (instead of keeping it in the cardboard box that it came in).

Ravelli APLT4 Tripod Amazon

Ravelli APLT4 Tripod
I couldn't have been happier to receive such a spectacular tripod for my birthday this year (I have also been informed that it was only £13!!! So if you've been meaning to buy one for a while now then you need to get yourself on Amazon asap. Hehe.)
I actually took all of the photography in this post with my new tripod, apart from the photograph of the Rosie for Autograph pyjamas which I took a little closer up and clearly in completely different lighting to the rest of the blog post. Curse you winter lighting!

George Home Rose Duvet Set Asda

George Home Rose Duvet Set
It's become a bit of a tradition in my household for me to receive a new duvet set for my birthday. I'm not really sure how or why it actually started but I'm certainly not complaining, especially as this one is absolutely gorgeous and a real bargain too. I've included the link, if you hover over the product name, just in case it has caught your eye too.

My parents also got me a huge industrial sized box of Maltesers. You know you've got a chocolate related problem when this is the kind of gift that gets bought for you. Hehe.

Rosie For Autograph Pyjamas

Rosie For Autograph Pyjamas
I had actually been lusting over this exact pair of Rosie For Autograph pyjamas at the end of last year but once they went into the sale at Christmas-time my chances of finding them quickly evaporated. I gave up all hope of ever finding them so you can imagine my real surprise when I received them for my birthday. Somehow my mum managed to grab the last pair of these in my size.

So that's what I got for my birthday this year. I hope that you have enjoyed this blog post and that it's given you a little bit of an insight into the kind of things that I enjoy the most (which from reading this particular blog post seem to be chocolate, lounging around in bed watching DVDs and playing around with my blog photography). Actually I think that that might be a pretty accurate representation of me. Hehe.

A huge thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday either on here or on Twitter or on Instagram. It really made my day that much more special. And another big thanks to the wonderful individuals (you know who you are) who bought me such lovely and thoughtful presents this year.

I'm off to have another slice of birthday cake and to choose which DVD to watch first. Which one should I go for?

Ellis Tuesday Bakes: Gingerbread Valentine Hearts

Baking Gingerbread Recipe

Since last month's baking post was such a success, if you haven't seen it yet it involves one of my favourite Disney movies and characters (link here), I'm back with the second in my 'Ellis Tuesday Bakes' blog series. I'm still thinking of calling this series 'Ellis Tuesday Bakes On Wednesday' but since this is the day before Valentine's Day I thought that I would schedule it for today. And as it's the day before Valentine's Day I couldn't resist baking some gingerbread love hearts to celebrate the occasion. But let me start by saying, Valentine's Day is definitely not something that I particularly look forward to. I'm always single and there's a day a few days before it that receives my full attention and excitement; my birthday (which was on Wednesday there). But there's nothing to say that you can't treat yourself or your nearest and dearest to some sweet treats in the run up to the day itself.

This bake is a little more advanced than last month's bake but trust me when I say that it's well worth the extra time and energy, plus you don't necessarily need to spend a good thirty minutes trying to decorate them like I did but just look how cute they are!

Gingerbread Valentine Hearts

350g Plain Flour
1 teaspoon of Bicarbonate of Soda
2 teaspoons of Ground Ginger
1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
125g Butter
175g Soft Brown Sugar
1 Egg
4 tablespoon of Golden Syrup
Writing Icing
Cake Decorations

Step One: Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and cinnamon into a bowl and rub in the butter until the mix resembles bread crumbs. Stir in the sugar to the mix.
Step Two: Lightly beat the egg and golden syrup together and add until the mixture clumps together. Knead briefly until smooth, wrap in clingfilm and leave to chill in the fridge for 15 minutes.
Step Three: Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4 and line two baking trays with greaseproof paper.
Step Four: Roll out the dough onto a lightly floured surface into the shape of your choice (I bought these heart shaped cutters from Tesco).
Step Five: Bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden-brown. When cooled decorate with the writing icing and cake decorations.

Writing with icing is actually quite a difficult skill to master, as you can see from my two first attempts below. Hehe. After struggling to write a couple of letters onto these two, I decided to get a little more artistic with the others, as you can hopefully see above.

Pinterest Baking Fail

So what did you think of this baking post? Will you be attempting your own take on these gingerbread biscuits? And are there any specific bakes that you would like me to tackle next?

Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte Ultra Eyeshadow Palette

Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte Ultra Eyeshadow Palette

Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte Ultra 32 Shade Eyeshadow Palette* £8

There have been that many incredible new releases from Makeup Revolution in the past couple of months that it has certainly been hard to keep up. It has also meant that my Makeup Revolution wishlist has grown exponentially week on week (I've currently got my eye on the Pro Makeup Brushes, the I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate palette and a few of the Lip Lava shades, to name but a few.)
I was very kindly sent one of two brand new eyeshadow palettes to launch on the Makeup Revoultion site in the past fortnight; the Flawless Matte palette. There is also the Beyond Flawless palette, which is packed full of shimmering neutrals. And again, Makeup Revolution have really hit it out of the park with this particular product.

Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte

Despite owning quite a number of eyeshadow palettes, I really do lack a substantial amount of matte shades. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I'm very magpie-like, so any time that I see shimmer, glitter or sparkle, I'm all over it. But it has left me yearning for more matte shades and it's rather rare to see an entire palette dedicated to solely mattes, especially when it comes to neutral colours. And that's why the Flawless Matte palette couldn't be more perfect or appropriate for me.

Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte Eyeshadow Palette

Like all of the Makeup Revolution eye shadows that I have had the pleasure of using prior to this one, the quality is truly superb. The pigmentation is fantastic and each and every shadow is soft and buttery on the eyelid. And much like the Eyes Like Angels palette that I reviewed back in July (link here), you are getting 32 ultra professional shadows for £8, which works out at just 25p a shadow. It doesn't get much better than that now does it?

If you've ever been on the lookout for a palette dedicated entirely to matte shades or if like me, your eye shadow collection is sorely missing some essential matte shadows, then this is where you will find them.

What do you think of the Flawless Matte palette? Have you tried Makeup Revolution before? If so, what has been your favourite discovery? And if you've not yet tried any of their range, what do you have on your wishlist?

My Birthday Wishlist

From left to right: Top: Girls Season 3 DVD £17 - Bates Motel Season 2 DVD £12 - Philosophy Birthday Girl Vanilla Birthday Cake Gift Set £18 - Charlotte Tilbury Golden Goddess Eyeshadow Palette £38 - Gone Girl DVD £10 - Essie Luxeffects Nail Polish £7.99
Middle: Soap & Glory SUPERCAT FAT Jumbo Carbon Black Ink Eyeliner £7 - Lush King Of Skin Body Butter £5.75 - Get Rich Blogging by Zoe Griffen £5.59Ravelli Tripod £13.96 - Sandisk 32GB Memory Card £15 - Annabelle DVD £14
Bottom: Lush Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar £3.25 - Zoella Beauty Just Say Yes Beauty Bag £8 - Camera Case

As you may or may not know, it's my 23rd birthday on Wednesday!! Eeee! And as my birthday is only a couple of weeks after Christmas (less than seven to be precise), I normally struggle to come up with ideas as to what I might like to receive for it but this year was the complete opposite. After buying my new camera; the Canon EOS M, before Christmas, there are definitely a couple of photography based purchases that I would like to make in the upcoming weeks/months, namely a tripod (so I can start doing more outfit posts), a camera case (I've currently been putting my camera back in it's box for safety, which isn't really the safest idea to be honest) and a memory card (at the moment I'm sharing one memory card between my phone and camera which definitely isn't ideal).

And like every other year, there are a few DVDs that I would love to add to my collection, as well as some beauty bits. Lush's King Of Skin is at the top of that list. Has anyone else tried it? If so, what do you think of it? Then there's the Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar which I already adore. The new Zoella Beauty bag has certainly caught my eye, as has the Charlotte Tilbury Golden Goddess palette (I think I might need to treat myself to that pretty sharpishly to be fair) and the Essie Luxeffect polishes.

Again, much like my Christmas wishlist, I in no way expect to wake up on the morning of my birthday (I can't believe that it's this upcoming Wednesday) to even half of the items on my Birthday wishlist but it does provide some inspiration for some of my family members (I will be leaving them a sneaky link to this page tonight hehe) as well as allow me to share my current wishlist with you.

What do you currently have on your wishlist? And what do you think of the items that I have included in my birthday wishlist?

My Orlando, Florida Travel Tips: Universal Studios

Universal Studios Orlando Travel Tips

All imagery in this blog post is courtesy of Universal Orlando (link here) unless otherwise stated - the Universal Orlando sign included above was taken by me

Since I started my Orlando, Florida Travel Tips series with four of my favourite malls to visit in the Orlando area (link here), I thought that I would shift my focus a little (don't worry there will still be plenty more blog posts on all things shopping in the months that follow) to the best of the best that Orlando, Florida has to offer when it comes to theme parks. And I've started off with my favourite theme park out of the bunch; Universal Studios.

I just want to start by saying, I am aware that when I mention Universal Studios Orlando the first thing that might spring to mind for many is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This is obviously a must-see for fans of the books/movies (and I have a feeling that you will already have that pencilled into your plans if you are a Potter fan) but technically it's situated in Islands of Adventure, which is why I've not mentioned it fully in this blog post. Instead I thought that I would focus my attention on five of my favourite attractions at Universal Studios, as well as some of my top tips for visiting the park. For a full list of rides, shows and attractions at Universal Studios (click here).

The Look Fantastic Beauty Box (February 2015)

The Look Fantastic Beauty Box (February 2015)

The Look Fantastic Beauty Box (February 2015)* £15

This month I was very kindly sent the Look Fantastic Beauty Box (or the #LFBeautyBox for those of you who spend quite a lot of time on social media like myself) to put to the test a week or so before it's official release date on the 1st of February. Since I've had a few weeks to try out the six products included in this month's box, I thought that I would give you a quick review of the products and a more substantial review of the #LFBeautyBox itself. If you would like an in-depth review of the individual products or one product in particular then please let me know and I'll definitely get that done soon.

The Look Fantastic Beauty Box #TheLFBeautyBox

Korres Citrus Little Body Milk (Sample Size) - Moroccanoil Treatment (Full Size) £13.45 - Monu Professional Skincare Illuminating Primer SPF 15 (Sample Size) - Dr Paw Paw Original Balm (Sample Size) - Bellapierre Eyeliner Pencil in Snow White (Full Size) £11.20 - Erno Laszo Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar (Sample Size)

The February #LFBeautyBox contains two full sized products and four sample sized products, all of which are from brands that feature on the Look Fantastic site. The box itself is priced at £15. One product; the Morrocanoil Treatment, costs £13.45 on it's own, so for a few pennies more you get five additional products all wrapped up in a fantastic box. The other full size product; the Bellapierre eyeliner pencil, is gorgeously creamy and such a bright white. Then there's the Korres body milk which smells amazing and leaves your skin feeling baby soft and the super luxurious Erno Laszo cleansing bar, which really is like gold dust, especially when you start to consider how much the full size product is. I'm already a big Monu fan so I was really happy to find their primer in this box. It definitely illuminates the skin which is particularly impressive. The only product that I've not been completely sold on so far has to be the Dr Paw Paw balm but I'll give it a few more weeks before I make my final decision. Hehe.

What I also really adore about the Look Fantastic Beauty Box is the fact that it isn't a subscription service so you can pick and choose the boxes that you'd like to receive. But if you do choose to subscribe to the Look Fantastic Beauty Box then there are some big savings to be had, so it is well worth it if you're a subscriber. Subscribing for 3 months will save you £5, the 6 month plan will save you £15 and the 12 month plan works out at £45 less than if you bought each of the boxes separately. Not only is the box alone great value for money but the subscription savings really do sweeten the deal that much more.

If the #LFBeautyBox and this box in particular, sounds right up you're street then you might want to order it soon as it will surely be another quick sell-out for Look Fantastic!

What do you think of the February edition of the Look Fantastic Beauty Box? Have you tried any of the products enclosed in the #LFBeautyBox before? And are you subscribed to any beauty boxes? If so, which ones would you recommend?

My Nail Polish Collection

Nail Polish Collection

As is about to become rather apparent, I have a problem and it's a somewhat nail polish related problem. For as long as I can remember I have been 'collecting' nail polishes. But saying that, I never actually think to myself when I buy a new nail polish, "this will make a great addition to my current collection" but somehow I have managed to amass an entire rainbow of shades.

Instead of standing up and proclaiming, "my name is Ellis and I'm a nail polish-a-holic," I thought that it might be wiser and more enjoyable for you as readers, to share my nail polish collection. I have split it up into ten separate colour groupings, to make it a little easier to digest the sheer (and quite frankly ridiculous) amount.

I may even do a blog post on my favourite brands/shades, if that is something that you would potentially like to see? Let me know what you think of that idea. It might be something that would work in the future, especially as I haven't been able to go into too much detail in this particular blog post. If I had we would have been here for forever. Hehe.

What do you think of my nail polish collection? How many polishes do you have in yours? Is there a make-up item that pops up more than any other in your make-up collection? And would you like me to do more posts on my favourite nail polishes/brands at a later date?
