I will be heading to the US very soon and it's safe to say I have quite a few things that I want to see if I can pick up whilst I'm there. I'm also going to try and stock up on some winter essentials, which I'm hoping will be considerably cheaper over in the US, such as a good pair of winter boots and maybe a coat too. In addition to that, I'll also be on the lookout for Christmas presents as well. A holiday isn't a holiday unless you spend a considerable chunk of it shopping, is it? Hehe.

The one item that I know I'm going to be treating myself to is the spectacular Michael Kors mini Selma messenger bag. I've had my eye on it for quite some time now and I know that I'll get a lot of use out of it as it's just the perfect size for day-to-day wear. What do you think of the metallic gold shade?

When it comes to beauty I am going to try my best to be quite restrained but there are a few products that are calling my name. Shopping in Sephora is going to be pretty dangerous for my bank balance I can imagine. I have my eyes set on the Kat Von D range as well as a few pieces from Tarte and of course it would be rude to say no to the wonderful gift sets that Sephora have to offer. The Try It Kit from Smashbox looks ideal as I've always wanted to try out the brand and this has so many great minis in the one box. I'm also rather intrigued by the premium make-up range from Forever 21 (especially as we can't get it here in the UK) but I guess I'll see what the quality is like when I'm there before I go too crazy. No trip to the US would be complete without a couple of pit-stops in Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret either.

Can you also tell from my wishlist that I'm getting into my pilates workouts too? I definitely need to invest in a quality mat, one that is thick enough to provide some much needed comfort and support, as well as some new trainers. I have a feeling that I might be frequenting the Nike Factory Outlet stores for the first time in a very long time.

And of course I need to pick up some of my favourites, ones that I can't get a hold of here in the UK, whilst I'm there. I'm talking Parks and Recration related goodness, season two of The Mindy Project and an Allure magazine or two. I also won't be surprised if the Viktor & Rolf Bon Bon fragrance finally comes home with me as I'm passing through duty free. Hehe.

So what do you think of my US shopping wishlist? Is there anything that you would add to this list? Or anything that you would recommend that I steer clear of over there? What's your favourite stores to shop in in the US?
