My Bedtime Essentials

My Bedtime Essentials Nip + Fab The Body Shop Jurlique Monu Skincare Minday Kaling Beauty Review

Alongside my four different remotes (how is it 2014 and I still have four different remotes for my TV, DVD Player, Sky TV and Wii, respectively?) as well as my mobile phone, there are a few other products that have been taking pride of place on my bedside table over the past couple of months.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum Beauty Review Bedtime Essentials

Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum* Was £14.95 Now £9.97
I'm definitely having a bit of a Nip + Fab love-in at the moment, as you might be able to tell from my previous review which was of the Nip + Fab CC Eye Fix (link here). This Glycolic Fix Overnight Serum has quickly become the one product that I reach for every night before bed without fail.
Firstly, I just need to praise Nip + Fab for using a pump applicator. It's just much more hygienic to do so in my opinion and it also makes it easier to dispense the correct amount of product too. One pump of product is enough for the entire face. It's not sticky at all, which was a concern of mine to begin with, especially when you know your face will inevitably end up smooshed into your pillow during the night. This has done exactly what it says it will on the front of the bottle; it has most definitely minimised my pores. I've actually never had too much trouble when it comes to my pores previously but recently they've been a bit of a nightmare. This Glycolic Fix Serum has definitely done the trick in addressing that issue for me.

Jurlique Citrus Hand Cream Beauty Review Bedtime Essentials

Jurlique Citrus Hand Cream* £17
I've tried my fair share of hand creams this year, some of my favourites being Soap & Glory's Hand Food (review here) and Roger & Gallet's Hand & Nails Cream (review here) but the one hand cream that I have been using on a daily (or should that be nightly) basis has been this one from Jurlique.
You know my feelings about citrus products and this hand cream has such a beautiful lemony scent. Despite also featuring tangerine and mandarin scents, I can definitely smell lemon the most out of the fragrances in this citrus hand cream. Saying that, the scent isn't too strong or overpowering in the slightest. This does precisely what you would expect a good hand cream to do. It melts into the skin and you can instantly feel the moisturising quality of it. It also doesn't leave any greasy residue behind either, which is a big thing for me when it comes to hand creams. Jurlique also recommend copiously applying the hand cream and popping on a pair of cotton gloves before bed for a truly intensive and lavish treatment. I'll surely be taking that advice in the colder months.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum in Oil Beauty Review Bedtime Essentials

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum in Oil* £12
Now the name of this product initially threw me a little but essentially this is exactly what the name denotes; it's a serum in an oil consistency. It sounds like it would be a little strange but trust me it just feels so luxurious on the skin and what I would imagine a much higher end serum would feel like.
Despite being an oil it doesn't make the skin feel overly oily at all and it's surprisingly lightweight. Again, much like the Nip + Fab serum, this doesn't leave any greasy marks on your pillow. You can really feel a difference to the skin when you wake up. It feels plumper, rejuvenated and refreshed in a matter of hours, which is rather impressive. It also has the trademark Vitamin E scent that you come to expect from this particular range. Is it strange how excited I get when using a product with a pipette? What am I like when it comes to pump applicators and pipettes? Hehe.
I've been rotating this Vitamin E Overnight Serum in Oil with the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum and can honestly say that I adore both. With each of them coming in at less than £15, I don't think you can really go wrong with either.

Monu Professional Skincare Hydrating Mask Beauty Review Bedtime Essentials

Monu Professional Skincare Hydrating Mask* £28.95
Unlike the other skincare products in this post, which I've either been using on a nightly or bi-nightly basis, I've been using this hydrating mask from Monu on a weekly basis.
I don't normally use face masks all that often but Monu's Hydrating Mask is that good that I look forward to applying it every Sunday night. If you suffer from dry or dehydrated skin then this might become your new favourite face mask. It also works particularly well on sensitive skin too. I think the reason that I've avoided face masks as much as I have in the past, is because many often leave my skin feeling tight or irritated. This mask on the other hand is silky smooth and leaves my skin feeling lovely and soft.

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?: And Other Concerns Mindy Kaling Beauty Book Review Bedtime Essentials

Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?: And Other Concerns - Mindy Kaling Was £7.99 Now £5.59
As some of you might know, I studied English at University (I did a Joint Honours degree in Politics and English). And you have no idea how nice it is to be able to read at your own pace and choose books that actually interest you (I'm talking a good amount of chick-lit and biographies! Hehe). That's not to say I didn't enjoy reading some of the wonderful books that I did in University, ones that I would probably never have picked up if I'd been given the choice but trying to read around three books a week for my three English classes, on top of the work I was doing for my other classes, was definitely a bit much for me. Now I can take my time and truly appreciate the books that I'm reading.
This is the third time that I've read Mindy's book since I bought it around Christmas-time and I know it won't be the last. This is a wonderful and witty memoir which has certainly confirmed my assumption that me and Mindy would be brilliant best friends! Fans of The Mindy Project and Mindy herself should definitely check this out as soon as you can. Also, if you happen to follow Mindy on Instagram (link here), then you might have spied that she has been having photographs taken for her new book cover, which I'm already eagerly anticipating the release of.

What products do you have on your bedside table at the moment? And also, are you reading any great books at the moment? If so, please let me know as I'm finally getting back into reading again. Would book reviews be a feature you would like to see more of on here? What do you think?
