If you've been reading Ellis Tuesday for a while now, you might remember my review of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo [+]. Even years later, the Effaclar Duo [+] still takes pride of place in my bathroom cabinet. It's one of those fail-safe products for me. And La Roche-Posay have taken this holy-grail product to the next level with their latest release; the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Unifiant.
This new release combines all the benefits and award winning ingredients of the original Effaclar Duo [+]. But with the added bonus of sheer coverage. Surely I can't be the only one who struggles to conceal spots and blemishes? Even when I use my trusty concealers, sometimes the product just clings to the imperfection. Which makes it look even worse.
Who else has done the same only to end up with what looks like a crusty mess on top of a spot or blemish? This really is light in texture. And it's one of those products that you genuinely forget that you're even wearing.
I was a little concerned that the lightest shade would still be too dark for me, a bit like the Rosaliac CC Cream was. But my worries were unfounded. This gives such a lovely sheer coverage, one that blends in incredibly well. It also doesn't cling to any imperfections either. Redness is minimised and my skin looks and feels a whole lot healthier and smoother than normal.
It does go on slightly dewy. But this then dries down to a semi-matte finish, one that I am happy to wear on it's own.
La Roche-Posay have hit it out of the park yet again!
What do you think of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Unifiant? Does it sound like something you would get a lot of use out of? Have you tried the original Effaclar Duo [+]? And are you as big a fan of La Roche-Posay, as I so clearly am?
