As I mentioned in my Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette review. Every so often, there's a beauty release that makes my heart flutter and gets me very excited. And that's exactly what we have here with this collection from Zoe Sugg aka. Zoella. I must admit, I wasn't a massive fan of her Tutti Fruity collection. But when I saw that this had hit stores I had a feeling that I might end up purchasing quite a few products from it. And sure enough, that's what happened.
I really loved some of the pieces she released just before Christmas. Of which a couple of which made their way into my Cute Christmas Gift Ideas For Teenage Girls & Younger gift guide. But other than that I didn't feel the need to rush out to the shops to buy all of it. This range, entitled the Sweet Inspirations collection, was a completely different story. I couldn't get over how pretty and sophisticated the packaging was. And I was certainly intrigued by a few of the products in particular, which is why I ended up in Superdrug, on more than one occassion, with a basket full of Zoella Beauty products.
Just a heads up before I properly get into my reviews, Superdrug currently have a 3 for 2 deal across all of the products mentioned in today's post. So I'd definitely take advantage of that if you've been meaning to pick up some of the products or have been looking for a reason to buy. But back to the review itself;
Bath Latte, Le Fizz & Double Creme
The first product that really caught my eye was the Bath Latte Bath & Shower Milk. Like, how cute is this bottle? The product itself is rather impressive too. I tried it out both in the shower and in the bath. For a brilliantly bubbly bubble bath this does exactly what you'd expect it to; creates bubbles. And when it came to the shower this felt creamy and soft on the skin. It lathered up quite nicely too.
Next up we have the Le Fizz fragranced bath fizzer. This is unlike many other bath fizzers and bath bombs already on the market, solely for the fact that you can decide how much or how little of the bar you actually use each time. For that fact alone, it's worth checking out. Particularly if you're more of a bath than a shower person.
Now this was the product that sold the entire range to me; the Double Creme body cream. This stuff smells amazing! Like I can't quite rave enough about how good this stuff smells. You'll just have to trust me or take a trip to your local Superdrug to have a sniff for yourself. It also sinks into the skin pretty quickly. And it doesn't leave you with a sticky or wet feeling residue either. I might just have to pick up another tube of this whilst the 3 for 2 offer is on.
Body Fondant & Sugar Dip
Back to the notion of baths again, we have the Sugar Dip scented bath salt granules. I can't quite remember the last time I used bath salts. I think I might have been about twelve at the time and I must have received them from some distant relative for Christmas or something like that. But these make the whole idea of bath salts feel new and exciting again.
And unsurprisingly, I was again won over by the packaging of this product and I was at the point during my Superdrug visit where I was like 'well I can review this on the blog, now can't I?', as a way of justifying the fact that I was adding it to my basket. Do any other fellow bloggers do the same thing?
I then spotted the Body Fondant shimmer balm and was like 'well, let's just try this too'. My bank balance wasn't quite as happy as I was but thankfully I did pick this up in the 3 for 2 with the next two products in this post. A bit like with the bath salts, this felt like a really cute and fun twist on the idea of body shimmers. And thankfully you don't look like you've been rolled in glitter with this at all. It's really subtle and actually leaves you looking golden instead of too sparkly. Great for what I assume is the target audience and great for someone who's as pale and fair as me. The puff also feels really luxurious and definitely of a quality that would see it costing more than it's £10 price tag.
The Zoella Sweet Inspirations Large Wash Bag
And last but not least we have two beauty bags, one small and one large. Is it just me or is this collection the perfect blend of stylish and sophisticated? Unlike some of the previous releases, which were a little too childish or infantile for me, they've really hit the nail on the head with this collection's theme and appearance. The larger of the two is a great wash bag size and I love the fact that one side is made of a PVC material, making it easy to wipe clean or set down in the bathroom and the other side is canvas. The branding is spot on for this as it's not an in your face Zoella signature or something like that, making it much more attractive to a wider audience.
The Zoella Sweet Inspirations Life Is Sweet Pouch
And the little Life Is Sweet pouch was too pretty to not buy. The colour is simply stunning and it looks like something you'd see in Ted Baker or somewhere like that but with an added 0 to the £6 price tag. This would work well as a little pouch to keep your necessities in, inside your handbag or as a little coin purse.
All in all, I'm really impressed with the Zoella Sweet Inspirations collection. The only product that I didn't end up picking up from the range was the body mist as I certainly don't need another fragrance or body mist in my life or bathroom cupboard, at the moment anyway but it's still well worth checking out if you're at the Zoella Beauty stand anyway. You can find this particular range in Superdrug stores and on Superdrug's website as well as on Feel Unique.
What do you think of the collection? Have you tried any of her products before? If so, what did you think of them? Is there a product or products, that you'd like to try out from this collection? And are you a fan of Zoella and her beauty ranges?
