The January Degustabox (With Exclusive £6 Off Discount Code)

Degustabox January 2016

I can't quite believe how quickly the month of February has flown by and that's partly why this month's Degustabox review is coming to you on the last day of the month.

As with every Degustabox review that I do, I have a fantastic and exclusive discount code for you to use to take a massive £6 off (in previous months it had been £3 off) the £12.99 price tag. All you have to do is enter the code BLDEG15 when you register.

So what exactly does the January box comprise of, well let's see;

Degustabox Chinese New Year Box

Despite this box being called the January Degustabox, it's meant to be enjoyed in the following month as most of the time the box is delivered in the last week or so of said month. And I can completely see why certain products have been enclosed in this particular box. With Chinese New Year falling on the 8th of February this year, there were plenty of products to help celebrate. I'm a big fan of Chinese cuisine so I was certainly happy to see the two Amoy Taste Of Asia cooking sauces, both of which were absolutely brilliant. I was also over the moon to see the Yushoi Snapea Rice Sticks in this months box as I had heard nothing but good things about them. As I always say, the Degustabox is such a great way to try out new brands and products, ones that you might not have necessarily picked up on your weekly shop, all for just £12.99 (or £6.99 if you use my discount code). The rice sticks are so scrumptious and make for a great snack, especially if you're watching your calorie intake.

My Dad definitely enjoyed the Tsingtao beer and my brother, who again as I mention quite often in these Degustabox posts, is the healthiest of the four of us was already a fan of the Slim Noodles, so these were a welcome addition.

Degustabox Food Box Subscription Review

The rest of the January Degustabox definitely has more of a breakfast/healthy snacking feel to it for me. They're basically the kind of products that you're glad to have in your cupboard. I loved the Coldpress apple juice and the Jordan's Fruit & Nut Country Crisp get your day off to a great start. The Clarks Carob Fruit Syrup is a really interesting product. It's even suitable for vegans, vegetarians and diabetics. We also really enjoyed the Fruit Bowl Blackcurrant Flakes and surprisingly or maybe not so surprisingly, the Conscious Organic Raw Chocolate. It certainly didn't taste as I expected it would but it was really nice nonetheless.

The only letdown for me was the fact that a box of Finn Crisp appeared in this month's box. This exact box was included in last January's box and whilst I don't mind brand repetition too much, especially if they've launched a new product, flavour or range, seeing the exact same one appear was a little disappointing. But I guess one repetition a year down the line isn't the end of the world.

So what do you think of this month's box? Have you tried any of the products featured in January's box before? If so, what do you think of them?

The Spring Transitional Outfit

Spring Transitional Outfit

To coincide with the final week of London Fashion Week, the wonderful team at People Make Glasgow asked me to put together a Spring outfit to showcase just some of Glasgow's style credentials. As I've mentioned before, you're honestly spoiled for choice when it comes to shopping in Glasgow. The mix of High Street favourites, designer stores and exclusive retailers is exactly why I love spending most of my free time traipsing along Glasgow's Style Mile, making several pit-stops along the way.

When most of us think of Spring fashion I've got a feeling that what springs to mind first, pardon the pun, is florals and pastels. However we all know how temperamental the weather can be at this time of year, particularly in Scotland so I opted for pieces that really could work well in any season. And since Spring is much more of a transitional period for me, I picked up some pieces that work when it comes to my current monochrome aesthetic, that also allow me to leave my big Winter coat and boots at home.

Scottish Redhead Fashion Blogger

I headed to Buchanan Galleries, located towards the North of The Glasgow Style Mile, one evening to take advantage of the fact that over 200 stores in the City Centre now stay open to at least 7pm on weeknights, with most stores opened until 8pm on Thursday's. And as the evenings get that bit lighter each night, Spring really feels like it's sprung.

Oasis Suedette Biker Jacket

As soon as I spotted this Suedette Biker Jacket* in Oasis I knew that I'd found something pretty special. It's the ideal kind of jacket for this time of year. You know when it's cold but can get quite warm when the sun hits you?

I paired it with this dalmatian print/spotty satin Blouse* from H&M and a fantastic pair of black skinny jeans from Mango. These are the Skinny Elekra jeans* for reference and Mango is quickly becoming one of my favourite places to buy jeans from.

Black Faux Leather Bucket Bag

I also finally managed to pick up a brilliant black bucket bag*. I've wanted to add one of these to my wardrobe for quite some time now so you can imagine my excitement when I spotted this one hiding at the back of H&M in the sale section for just £5! Yup that's right; £5!!

River Island Lace-Up Sandals

When looking for what to pop on my feet for this blog post and for Spring/the rest of the year to be quite honest, I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for. I just recently bought a pair of over the knee boots (which I'm just thinking will go perfectly with my new suedette jacket) which I absolutely adore and I also bought quite a number of flat shoes in the January sales (let me know if you'd like to see a post on these even if January is just a memory now). But when I saw this pair of black leather Ghillie Lace-Up Sandals* in River Island I knew that I had found what I was looking for. I think that these will take me right through the year and work well for my holiday to Florida later in the year too.

Spring Fashion Outfit Ideas

So there you have it; my Spring transitional outfit. What is your Spring style like? And what do you think of the pieces that I managed to pick up for today's outfit post? Do you have a favourite? And would you like to see more outfit style posts as the year goes on?

Sharing The Blog Love This February

It's that time of the month again where I share some of my favourite blog posts from the month that has passed and here they are today;

10 Ways To Prep For Your First Blogger Event - I've had the absolute pleasure of attending my fair share of blogger and press events and Beki's ten tips for prepping for your first one really do ring true, even if I still don't have blogging business cards (that's something I must look into at some point). I've been really lucky to meet so many incredible bloggers thanks to the events that I've attended and I would always recommend stepping out of your comfort zone and heading to a blog event if and when you can.

Fashion Blogger Fails - Whilst I'd still say that beauty is the main focus here on Ellis Tuesday, I have been posting more outfit/fashion blogger style posts in the past couple of months and even have another one coming up this Sunday. And whilst I definitely wouldn't class myself as a fashion blogger by any means, I certainly understand each and every one of these 'fails' that Tasha has brilliantly outlined. I still haven't found the dream location for my outfit posts or bagged myself an expert photographer but it is fun trying to 'make it work' as Tim Gunn would say, especially in the ice cold weather that we've had recently. I mean I even took outfit posts in the snow last month!

Homesense #LoveFromFirstFind Event - I'm pretty sure that I've said this in a previous 'Sharing The Blog Love' post but why oh why have I not been to Homesense before? Well Laura's post, on what looks like a brilliant event, has me Googling 'where is the closest Homesense to me?' as we speak. I love the pieces that she managed to pick up, especially the mint wire basket and who doesn't love a good notebook or three in this case?

Creme De La Creme Egg - Whilst I'm not the biggest fan of traditional Easter eggs, both Creme and Mini Eggs are a whole different story. So to read Jordan's blog post about her trip to the Creme De La Creme Egg Cafe (yes that is a thing!!) made me incredibly happy, a little jealous and hungry for the chocolately goodness that comes from a Creme Egg. It basically looks like the best cafe ever (who wouldn't want to check out a chocolate themed cafe?)! I also really appreciated all of the egg based puns strewn throughout the blog post. Hehe.

Ellis Tuesday Giveaway Prizes - Last month I debuted the first of my monthly giveaways (February has went by so quickly that I might have missed the second of my monthly giveaways but I promise to rectify that at a later date) and the lovely Lucy won that particular giveaway. It's great to hear that she's been loving her prizes and how gorgeous is her photography as well?

My Travel Bucket-list - I'm a big fan of reading travel bucket-list type posts, especially as I've only ever travelled to two countries in my life (the US and Spain, I don't think I can count sitting in Reykjavik airport for a couple of hours as visiting Iceland to be honest) so I really enjoyed seeing what foreign lands Alice would like to visit. I'm definitely with her on all of her picks and it just makes me want to explore the world even further, whilst I still have the chance to.

NYC - And it wouldn't be a 'Sharing The Blog Love' post without at least one of my ten favourite blog posts from the month being dedicated to New York. Scrolling through Kate's fantastic photographs just makes me smile and I can't wait to see her NYC shopping haul when it's up either.

So what blogs and blog posts have you really enjoyed reading this month? Are there any blogs that you've discovered recently that you would like to share? And what blog posts do you have planned for the upcoming month/months?

Mother's Day At Tesco

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Mother's Day is earlier than ever this year (it's Sunday the 6th of March if you want to mark your calendars), so if you've not already started thinking about what to get your Mum this Mothering Sunday then I have a couple of blog posts that should hopefully help with that, starting with today's post. You really don't have to spend an arm and a leg to treat your Mum to some lovely gifts this Mother's Day and this couldn't be more true than at Tesco where you'll find a whole range of Mother's Day presents that won't break the bank.

You can't go wrong with the usual Mother's Day gifts such as a big bunch of flowers, her favourite scent either in candle or perfume form and a card but why not treat her to a great book, CD or DVD such as those pictured above? Or you could even grab a few extra bits whilst you're out food shopping to make your Mum breakfast in bed on Mothering Sunday.

I have a few more Mother's Day related blog posts planned for next week and my Mum is even going to be taking over the blog on Mother's Day itself to share some of her favourite beauty bits of all time, in a post similar to the one my Dad helped to write for Father's Day last year.

Have you bought your Mum anything for Mother's Day yet? If so, what are you treating her to this year? And if not, what do you have planned in terms of presents or the day itself?

New In From Soap & Glory Make-Up

Soap & Glory Makeup Review

The team at Soap & Glory really do go above and beyond when it comes to promoting their new launches so you can imagine my excitement when I opened up this particular send out from them to be met with my very own Soap & Glory board game. If you grew up in the nineties, you might remember the amazing board game that was Dream Phone, well this is a version perfect for any make-up lover.

Soap and Glory Makeup

We all know and love Soap & Glory's brilliant bath and body range but have you tried any of their equally brilliant make-up? Well if you haven't already, there's no better time to discover it as they have just added some spectacular new launches to their already impressive existing range. And I've been given a few of the new releases to try out and review and here's what I think of them;

Soap & Glory Glow All Out Highlight & Sculpt Cheek Stick

First up we have the Glow All Out Highlight & Sculpt Cheek Stick*. This is the most beautiful champagne shade with stunning shimmer and it's incredibly creamy on the skin. There's also two other Highlight & Sculpt Cheek Sticks; Love At First Blush, a rosy pink shade and Wonderbronze, a sun-kissed bronze. I think we might have some serious dupes for the NARS Multiples on our hands with these and at a fraction of the price, at just £8 each. Do you agree?

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Review

Now if you've not yet discovered the Archery brow range from Soap & Glory then where have you been? As if the existing Archery range wasn't fantastic enough, Soap & Glory have added three new Archery brow products to their make-up collection, two of which I can show you today.

There's the Archery Brow Crayon*, which is perfect for those of us with thicker and fuller brows and the shade I received, Love Is Blonde, works well for a whole range of different hair colours. There's also the Archery Brow Putty Dip Pot & Brush*. This is unlike anything I've seen on the brow market before. You get your brush at the top and at the bottom of the pen is a concealed brow putty dip pot. This creates such a natural look but can also be built up too. It's great to see a brand such as Soap & Glory offer up really revolutionary new products, especially when you consider the fact they're purse friendly and available at the drugstore.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss

Soap & Glory have also released a new version and formula of one of their original make-up products; the Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss*. In addition to this, they're debuting some brand new shades as well. I've been a fan of their Sexy Mother Pucker glosses since the very beginning so it's great to see some fantastic new shades such as this pretty coral one. It does make your lips tingle but it's not unbearable like some other lip plumping glosses and this new 'super smooth' formula means that it's less sticky which is always a bonus. It also smells exactly like chocolate orange (aka. one of the best scents ever!) so I'm over the moon with this new gloss.

They've also added some new shades when it comes to their Sexy Mother Pucker matte and gloss sticks. I'm definitely going to need to pick up some of these, especially when they're only £3.50 a piece. Would you like to see a post on these at some point soon?

New Soap & Glory Make-up

Which new launch looks like it could be right up your street? Have you tried any of Soap & Glory's make-up before? If so, what do you recommend to others? And who wants to join me for a game of Glam Slam? How amazing would it be to organise a big bloggers sleepover complete with junk food, gossip and board games?!

The Search For The Perfect Swimsuit

Swimsuit Fashion 2016

As it's only a couple of months until I go on holiday (seven to be precise, but who's counting?) and Spring/Summer collections are starting to make their way into stores, I thought that I would start my search for one of my holiday's key fashion components, which is what inspired today's post. Now swimming costumes or swimsuits aren't always the easiest of things to buy. I tend to find that they're either solely made for sport and not exactly that pleasing on the eye, really mumsy or incredibly plain, none of which particularly appeal to me.

Most years I head to Primark to pick up my swimwear but as their swimming costumes only really come in clothes sizes (ie. a size 12, a size 14, etc.) I tend to find that their costume only fits me in some areas and not others. So this year I've decided to search for a swimming costume, or two, that fit both my bust and my body; a task which admittedly filled me with a bit of dread but I am happy to report that this year I've stumbled across a few that mix fashion and fit and here they are;

And the best thing about treating myself to one from House Of Fraser is the fact that I still have a few Christmas gift cards from there so in essence, it won't really cost me an arm and a leg after all.

Which design is your favourite? I'm torn between the blue and purple Ted Baker suit and the black and white tribal print Seafolly offering. Is anyone else more of a fan of swimsuits rather than bikinis and tankinis? And are you heading anywhere sunny this year?

25 Realistic Goals To Achieve Before I Turn 25

25 Before 25

As I just turned 24 (my birthday was last Thursday), it got me thinking about how close I am to turning 25. Now I'm not one of those people who begroans the fact that they're getting older. You might want to ask me again in a few years though, when the scene might resemble that from Friends when Joey has a bit of a birthday breakdown; 'let the others grow old not me' style. So I thought that I would come up with 25 goals and realistic ones at that, to achieve before my next birthday. I'm hoping to revisit this blog post pretty frequently over the next twelve months to cross off the following goals and here they are;

1 Back up my computer - So I just watched the episode of Sex And The City where Carrie's laptop crashes and she hasn't backed anything up. For some reason that particular episode fills me with fear, mainly because I never back up anything either and the thought of losing everything on my laptop would make me a bit of an emotional mess a la Miss Bradshaw too.
2 Treat myself to a designer handbag - And when I say designer what I actually mean is a slightly more affordable designer handbag. I can already hear Kate Spade New York calling my name.
3 Start YouTube - This will be the year that I finally get around to doing this.
4 Vlog in Florida - This has to be my main motivation for getting YouTube up and running. Not only will it be fantastic to have the footage to look back on but I'd love to share one of my favourite places in the world with you.
Switch banks and bank accounts - At the moment I make absolutely no interest at all on my current account and my savings basically make nothing either so it's about time that I changed that. I'm actually hoping to have accomplished this one by the end of the month so hopefully this will be one of the first goals on my list to be checked off.
Make it down to London for a blog or press event - I'm incredibly grateful to be invited to so many wonderful and really exciting press events down in London each year but as I stay up in Glasgow I never make it down to them. It's not the easiest of journeys to make or the cheapest but it's not impossible. Time to get myself on a train and even spend a few nights down there.
Wake up in time to see a sunrise - This shouldn't be too difficult to achieve when I'm in Florida later in the year. Who else appreciates sunrises and sunsets all the more when they're on holiday? I sure do.
8 Start buying quality instead of quantity - There's a reason that those £5 pair of shoes from Primark only last 5 minutes.
9 Attend the Queen's Garden Party - Now this is a bit of a once in a lifetime opportunity. My Mum has received an invite to the Queen's Garden Party, later in the year, at the request of Nicola Sturgeon (ie. Scotland's First Minister). She's also allowed to bring my Dad, my brother and I, along for the day. I already have my fingers crossed that Prince Harry will at least make a bit of an appearance. Hehe.
10 Learn to make one of my favourite takeaway dishes at home - There was a point in my life, I think I was about 12 years old, where I had nailed the recipe for one of my favourite takeaway dishes; vegetable pakora. Those days are long gone but it's time to rediscover that talent I think.
11 Have an article published - Ideally this will be in print but anything that allows me to add to my writing portfolia is a-OK with me.
12 Exfoliate more - This is one part of my beauty routine that I'm particularly guilty of neglecting. I have keratosis pilaris, which basically means that I have permanent goosebumps on my arms and legs and exfoliating does help to make them less risen and visible yet I know I could and should be doing it more.
13 Host a blog meet-up (or at least help to organise one) - Attending the Scot Blog Meet last summer was so much fun and it was great to meet such a large group of fellow bloggers all in one place. I'd love to help replicate that this year.
14 Sell my prom dress - This is something that I've been meaning to do for years and years and years. My prom was in 2008 and all my dress is doing is taking up valuable space in my wardrobe. Anyone out there looking for an emerald green Coast evening dress who's also a size 12? Hehe.
15 Play tourist in my own city - I've lived in Glasgow all of my life, however there are some touristy areas of the city that even I haven't visited or at least haven't visited since I was at school. I'd love to venture outwith my Glasgow comfort zone, which ties in nicely with the next goal on my list.
16 Explore parts of Glasgow that I've never been to before - It's time to get an all-day ticket for the Subway and hop on and off at each stop to explore more of my city.
17 Stop buying as many notebooks - And the ones that I do own are pretty but not that pretty that they can't actually be written in.
18 Properly clean out my wardrobes and drawers - I tend to say this quite a lot, especially when the seasons are changing but I'm really running out of space, even with two wardrobes and three large sets of drawers. There are t-shirts, jeans and so much more that I haven't worn in at least five years and they need to go.
19 Take any and all unwanted items to a charity shop - And once I've cleaned out my wardrobes and drawers it's time to give them a new home. This is another thing that I keep meaning to do but never get around to so having it as one of my 25 goals should be the kick up the bum that I need.
20 Go to the cinema - This might seem like a bit of a simple goal to achieve but I never go to the cinema anymore. I think the last thing I saw in the cinema was Annabelle and even then that was on a rainy day in Florida. What should I go and see first?
21 Find an alternative to dairy that I actually like - For some terrible reason milk, butter and cheese do not agree with me. Let's finally find something that kind of tastes like my old favourites.
22 Step away from all things digital for 24 hours - I have to admit, I'm constantly glued to my phone or my laptop and as a blogger I sometimes use the fact that I blog as an excuse. Does anyone else do that? It would be nice to take it back to basics and spend a whole day without checking Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Bloglovin' and Buzzfeed on a consant loop.
23 Act like a 5 year old at Disneyworld - You're never too old for Walt Disney World so why not act like someone a fifth of your age (yup that's right, a fifth of your age) and go all out at Disney this year. Bonus points for donning Minnie Mouse ears.
24 Relaunch Ellis Tuesday - Okay, so technically I only relaunched Ellis Tuesday last June and I absolutely love my current template and blog branding but I've got a couple of ideas in mind for later in the year to give my blog a bit of an update and to maybe streamline it a little. Is anyone else as restless as I am when it comes to the look of their blog? Although, having said that, my blog has only had three templates in a little over 2 years so that's not too bad, now is it?
25 Finally learn to drive - And last but not least, the one goal of mine that has thus alluded me. I haven't sat in the driver's seat since I was 17, which rather worryingly was 7 years ago. I keep saying 'one day I'll get around to it again' and never do but I really do need to at least give it a try once more.

So there we have it; the 25 goals that I have until February 11th 2017 to achieve. All I can say is, wish me luck!

How many of them do you think I'll actually tick off of this list? And do you have any goals that you've been meaning to achieve?

Treating Yourself This Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day Single Ideas

As someone who's spent each and every Valentine's Day on their own, February the 14th is just another day to be honest but with my birthday being a few days prior, on the 11th, I still tend to be in the birthday state of mind. You know the one; where you eat birthday cake for breakfast and have birthday money burning a hole in your pocket. So I like to treat myself to a few things to help make the 14th of February bearable as a singleton and here are the ways that I'll be doing that this year;

Yankee Candle Valentine's

To be quite honest, I don't really need an excuse to treat myself to some Yankee Candles (is anyone else a bit like this?) so of course I was going to take advantage of the February Fragrance Of The Month offer. True Rose, which honestly smells even better than a big bouquet of red roses, has 25% off it as a result and I couldn't leave the You Warm My Heart 2 wick tumbler candle behind either. How cute is the design of this one and it encases the beloved Pink Sands fragrance too.

Valentine's Day Pampering

After my Yankee Candles are lit, I'll be spending a few hours tonight pampering myself and then slipping into a pair of my cosiest pyjamas. If you remember my post on my Summer skincare essentials last year, then you'll remember my love for the Lavera body lotion. Well the rose scented pampering body lotion* and wash* are perfect for this time of year.

And if you're a fan of the brand I Love..., like I am, then I would certainly take advantage of the Valentine's savings on the Perfect Getaway Essential Pack*. The I Love... Strawberries & Cream scent is by far my favourite from the brand and you're getting six products plus a great getaway bag and shower puff all for just £15 (down from £30). You definitely won't feel guilty about treating yourself at that price.

Treat Yourself This Valentine's Day

Just because you don't have a significant other in your life doesn't mean that you can't treat yourself to some jewellery and chocolate yourself. You certainly can't go wrong with some Thorntons chocolate and this mixture of white and milk chocolate, albeit in a love heart shape, is the perfect treat even if you don't have a Valentine this year.  A big thanks to the fantastic team at Lavera and Pure PR for my chocolate delivery too! I will definitely be devouring that over the course of today.

And when it comes to jewellery, why not treat yourself this Valentine's Day? And in particular, why not support a small business or seller on Etsy? As soon as I saw this Swarovski Crystal Red Heart Collar Necklace* I knew that it would make for a perfect Valentine's Day gift to myself. Expect to see this gorgeous necklace in an outfit post very soon. I had planned on taking photographs of it on me for today's post but sadly I've been really under the weather recently so that wasn't going to happen. Lydia at GlitzandGiftsUK has so many beautiful pieces to choose from as does another independent retailer; Nikki Stark. Her simple and stunning designs are definitely right up my street and best of all, they're really affordable too.

I also absolutely love these two Valentine's Day appropriate pins from Jolly Awesome. If you're feeling the love then the Bumble Bae pin* is ideal. If you're not bothered about Valentine's at all, there's the No Fucks Given pin*. If you haven't heard of Jolly Awesome before then I definitely recommend checking out their site, especially if you feel like treating yourself or someone else to some adorable greeting cards, prints, mugs and pins.

Best Valentine's Day Movies and TV

And you certainly can't go wrong with a good ol' romantic comedy or a night of binge watching Sex And The City, now can you? These are just a selection of some of my favourite rom-coms. For more of my favourites, be sure to check out my What I've Been Watching: On Valentine's Day post. What are some of your favourite rom-com kind of movies to watch?

However you're spending Valentine's Day this year, I hope you have a lovely time!

What are your favourite things to do to treat yourself? How are you spending this evening? And what have you treated yourself to recently?

Celebrating My Birthday With Gemporia

Amethyst Rose Gold Ring

As you might be able to tell from the title of today's post, it's my birthday!! I'm planning on having a pretty laid back day which will most probably be spent spending any birthday money that I receive and consuming more food, chocolate and birthday cake than I really should. But if you can't indulge and treat yourself on your birthday, when can you, I say. So when the lovely team at Gemporia got in touch to ask if I would like to review a piece of their jewellery it felt like the perfect excuse to allow myself a little birthday treat.

Gemporia Ring Review

As most of you will probably already know, I'm a big fan of all things rose gold and copper related so the first thing I did was to have a search on Gemporia to see if they stocked anything along those lines and I was absolutely over the moon to see that they did. Not only that but one piece in particular immediately stood out to me.

As a February baby amethyst is my birthstone and this Amethyst Rose Gold Vermeil Ring* honestly couldn't be more perfect. The unique design is seriously stunning and to have 1.00ct of amethyst on your finger for just £35 is really incredible. It's also one of those rings that you don't even realise you're wearing, as it's that comfortable and easy to wear. Who else hates it when a ring digs in or feels awkward on your finger?

Rose Gold Ring Review

I have especially small hands and fingers. They're that small that I've only ever been able to wear children's magic gloves in the Winter months and sometimes even they're too big for me. As a result I was a little apprehensive about what size to go for when it came to my ring but I had nothing to worry about at all with Gemporia. You can either print out a ring sizer, request a free ring sizer is sent out you or download their free ring sizer app. I went for the last option and it couldn't have been easier to use. It also guaranteed that my ring actually fit my tiny fingers, something that can't be said for some of the other places I buy rings from.

February Birthday Ideas

I'd also like to thank I Just Love It for my personalised Chilli and Bubble Birthday Chocolate Bar! How incredible does it look? I can't wait to unwrap and devour it. If you know someone with a birthday coming up soon, this would make for such a great gift. I Just Love It also have similar style chocolate bars for special events such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and more as well. I'll be featuring some more personalised pieces from I Just Love It over the next couple of weeks so be sure to keep an eye out for those posts too.

So what do you think of my absolute gem of a piece from Gemporia? Are you a fan of rose gold? And what's your birthstone?

GOSH Spring/Summer 2016

GOSH Spring/Summer New

I've said it before and I'll say it again, GOSH are one of the most underated beauty brands and yet they're one of the most innovative and exciting on the High Street. Their Spring/Summer 2016 collection* shows just that. So here are just some of the new releases that launch in Superdrug stores and online today;

GOSH Lip Oil Review

One of the most talked about launches from the new collection has to be their brand new lip oils. I've had my eye on the Clarins lip oils for a little while now but at £18 they were a little out of my budget. At £7.49 each, GOSH's lip oils are certainly a whole lot more purse friendly. Not only that but they give your lips that glossy look whilst also providing more hydration than a typical lip balm and simultaneously giving your lips a pop of colour too. As someone who often suffers from dry and cracked lips these lip oils have quickly become an essential for me since trying them.

GOSH Eyeshadow Review

GOSH have also added to their already brilliant collection of eyeshadows with a stunning new palette and gorgeous new Forever eye shadow stick shades. I own quite a few GOSH shadow sticks and eye shadow palettes and the formulation is fantastic, especially when you consider the drugstore price point. If you're looking to introduce more matte shades into your beauty routine then these shadows are definitely the way to go. The palette packed full of wearable shades is just £10.99 and the shadow sticks retail for £7.49. But don't forget that Superdrug frequently run 3 for 2 deals across the GOSH range so you can certainly bag a real bargain when it comes to this brand.

GOSH Superdrug New

If you've been reading Ellis Tuesday for a while now, you'll know just how much I adore the NARS 413 BLKR Illuminator. If you haven't seen that review yet, here it is. I didn't think that I would ever find a drugstore version of my beloved NARS Illuminator but GOSH have done it again and at a fraction of the price of the NARS alternative at just £7.99. Their LUMIDROPS, available in three shades, are liquid highlighters with stunning pearl pigments and a shimmery finish. You can also add a drop or two to your favourite foundation to brighten it up a little, something that I will definitely be trying over the Summer months.

And talk about illuminating the skin, the brand new Primer Plus+ Illuminating Skin Perfector has you covered there. Not only does this prime the skin but it also bridges the gap between traditional skincare and make-up. If you're looking for a radiant and glowing finish then this is the primer for you and like most primers, it can either be used on it's own or under foundation but unlike other primers that I've tried in the past, it can also be used on top of foundation to strobe. Now how fantastic does that sound? It's also just £14.99 (or £9.99 if you head over to Superdrug right now!)

GOSH Makeup Review

And to round off the 2016 Spring/Summer collection we have a brand new volumising mascara and even more shades of their fantastic velvet touch lipsticks. Basically if you're looking to update your make-up bag for 2016 or want to try out some new products, I would certainly recommend making a trip to your nearest GOSH stand.

What do you think of GOSH's new releases? Have you tried anything from GOSH in the past? If so, what did you think of it? And would you be interested in seeing some more brand new beauty releases, most of which haven't even been released yet, this month?

The Look Fantastic #LFLoves Beauty Box

Valentine's Day Beauty Box

Just when I thought that the Look Fantastic Beauty Box couldn't get any better, this month's box arrived at my door. The first thing that immediately caught my eye was the absolutely beautiful box design. Then I realised that the latest copy of Elle magazine had been included with the #LFLoves box too and I couldn't quite contain my excitement. This was before I had even opened the box to see what beauty bits had been included. To say that I was over the moon when I finally did would be a bit of an understatement.

When I was met with the products, each and every one of them were ones that I would definitely use and this isn't something that can be said for every product that's found in a beauty box. I really love and appreciate the mix of products in this month's box, so let's get onto exactly what is included in the February Look Fantastic beauty box;

Look Fantastic Beauty Box Review

As soon as I spotted the mini Denman hairbrush I couldn't stop smiling. I'm already a big fan of Denman hairbrushes, having used them for years now and this mini key-ring version is absolutely perfect for taking with me on the go. And I have a feeling that my hair will be looking better than ever thanks to that dinky little brush and the great conditioner from KMS Australia.

Bliss are a brand that I am always happy to see included in beauty boxes, especially as they're quite a luxurious and pricey brand. This grapefruit body butter smells amazing! I might just have to fork out that little bit extra and treat myself to some Bliss products this year. Talking about treating yourself, if you're looking to treat yourself or have your significant other do it for you this Valentine's, then the Monu Spa Massage & Body Oil is perfect for that. It just feels so luxurious on the skin.

Another product that stood out to me, for all the right reasons, was the Lord & Berry matte lipstick. The colour is so me, again something that can't always be said for every lipstick included in a beauty box and the consistency  is really lovely on the lips and not drying in the slightest. Last but certainly not least, we have the Hi Impact Brows palette. This is a brand that I haven't heard a great deal about but they will soon be stocked on the Look Fantastic site which is definitely exciting. The shades are particularly stunning, that stunning that they may even warrant a stand alone blog post, if that's something that you would be interested in seeing?

Elle Magazine March 2016

And then, as I mentioned briefly above, this month's Look Fantastic Beauty Box also comes complete with the latest copy of Elle magazine. And when you take into consideration the fact that this magazine is £4.10 to buy on it's own and this entire beauty box is just £15, or cheaper if you subscribe to it, you'll quickly understand why I love it as much as I do. And talk about value for money!

What do you think of the #LFLoves Beauty Box? Have you tried any of the products in this month's box? If so, what are your thoughts on them? And what are your plans for Valentine's Day this year?

5 Restaurants I'm Looking Forward To Trying For The First Time In Orlando, Florida This Year

Best American Restaurants in the US

If you're a fan of my Orlando, Florida Travel Tips series or have been reading Ellis Tuesday for a while now, you might have seen a few of my favourite restaurants that I've found over the years on my trips to the US. If not, here is that post. There are so many other places, particularly when it comes to fast food, that I would recommend to anyone planning a trip to the US anytime soon such as A&W, Sbarro and Charley's Grilled Subs (all of which you will find at the malls) and of course McDonald's, KFC and Auntie Anne's Soft Pretzels are well worth a visit too.

My Birthday Wishlist

2016 Beauty Fashion Wishlist

On the 11th of February, a little over a week, I will be turning 24. As my birthday is only a couple of weeks after Christmas I always tend to struggle to come up with ideas for possible presents and gifts and this year is no different. I've basically asked my parents for a box of chocolates and a DVD, both of which I've featured in today's post but apart from that I don't really need anything in particular. So I thought that I would do a bit of a wishlist to see if it sparked any ideas and it certainly has. As with all wishlists that appear on Ellis Tuesday I in no way expect to receive everything that I've included in this post but I have a feeling that I'll definitely need to treat myself to a couple of things from today's post to ring in another year. But let's get onto the items themselves, here's what's on my wishlist at the moment;

Whistles Abstract Print Shirt (£85) - I've been lusting after one of these shirts from Whistles ever since I first saw Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup wearing her mini loop print version of it. I also spotted that she's bought this gorgeous version of it on her Instagram, which basically sold me on this print right away. It is a little pricey at £85 but it's one of those pieces that I would get so much wear out of, especially with my monochrome obsession.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Blush EDT (£54) - Anyone who's ever seen me rave about the Marc Jacobs Daisy range of fragrances will know just how much I adore these scents. Last year it was all about the limited edition sorbet collection (which I reviewed here) but for 2016 it's all about the blush collection and just how pretty does the range look? I can't wait to go give this a sniff but if it's like any of the other Daisy fragrances, I have a feeling that it will be coming home with me on my next shopping trip.

Oliver Bonas White Marble Make Up Bag (£13.50) - Not that I need another make-up bag but how incredible does this white marble one from Oliver Bonas look?

Laduree Macarons Ballpoint Pen (£13.25) - How adorable is this macarons pen? I always seem to misplace pens (they're a bit like hair bobbles and hair grips; never to be seen again) but I have a feeling that I wouldn't let this particular pen out of my sight if I owned it.

Marks & Spencer Rosie For Autograph Blurred Floral Satin Pyjamas (£35) - It' a bit of a tradition for me to receive a new pair of pyjamas for my birthday and who wouldn't want to receive such a pretty pair of pyjamas? It might still be a bit cold to wear these but I'm already looking forward to the warmer nights.

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Lipstick (£16) - I have a feeling that most of us will have at least one item from the Gwen Stefani for Urban Decay collection on our wishlists right now. Am I right? And the lipsticks in particular have really caught my eye. That and I've heard such glowing reviews of the formula and the colours available.

Alphabet Bags Meow Much? Coin Purse (£12) - Now this coin purse has been on my wishlist for a good number of years (it might have even been in a previous birthday wishlist post on here) but as it's just went into the sale on the Alphabet Bags website, it kind of feels like a sign to finally buy it, right? And again, it's just so unbelievably cute!

Oliver Bonas Etched Alphabet Necklace (£19.50) - I've definitely been favouring delicate pieces of jewellery in recent months and this letter E necklace is my idea of a dream piece right now.

Lush Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar (£4.25) - I fell head over heels in love with this bubble bar this time last year and even received two for my 23rd birthday and as it's part of the limited edition Valentine's Day range at Lush it would be rude not pick up a few again this year. I wonder if I'll receive any for this birthday...

Lulu Guinness Lips And Stripes Foldaway Shopper (£39) - Ever since the 5p plastic bag charge came into effect here in Scotland I've lost count of the amount of times that I've forgotten to take bags with me when I go shopping. I absolutely adore the Lulu Guinness lip design and pair that with monochrome polka dots and you've basically got my dream combination. This would be a real treat and it's not really the kind of thing that I would buy for myself, which makes it the perfect kind of birthday gift.

Lush The Comforter Bubble Bar (£4.95) - Can you tell that I'm a fan of the bubble bars at Lush? This has to be my favourite product from their permanent range and I'm all out of it so this had to make it's way onto my wishlist. I might even pick up The Comforter Shower Cream as a bit of an additional birthday treat to myself too.

Legend (£10) - Another birthday tradition is to receive a new DVD release and it just so happens that this year Legend was released a few weeks before my birthday. Who doesn't love Tom Hardy? And to have two of him in one movie, well Happy Birthday to me!

Blog Wonderful (£9.11) - Dana Fox is a blogger that I've followed for many years now and whenever I have issues, such as how to change to a .com or anything design related, I trust and turn to her. Her new book, Blog Wonderful, sounds right up my street and if there's anyone to look to for some blogging hints and tips, it's Dana.

Lindt Lindor Strawberries & Cream (£3.59) - Whilst I'm not the biggest fan of my birthday being as close to Valentine's Day as it is, one of the biggest perks of this is the fact that I can indulge in as many of these gorgeous strawberry and cream flavoured Lindt Lindors as I can humanly consume. Who else shares this thought?

New Look Brown Leopard Print Mini Across Body Bag (£15.99) - I've had my eye on this leopard print cross body bag since well before Christmas and it might be time for me to finally add it to my wardrobe this month. How unique is the style of it and for less than £20 too?

Marks & Spencer Rosie For Autograph Miracle Concealer (£14) - I have a feeling I'm not the only one who's more than a little bit excited about Rosie Huntington-Whiteley debuting a make-up range for M&S. From the rose gold packaging to the impressive selection of products, I can't wait to try out a few of the pieces. The one product that intrigues me the most however, has to be the miracle concealer. Has anyone had a chance to try any of it out yet?

Canon G7X Camera (£379) - Now I know for a fact that this is way out of my birthday budget but if I get any birthday money this year it will definitely be going towards saving for a camera with a flip screen just like the one on this Canon G7X. If YouTube is going to happen this year, I think that having a flip screen will make it so much easier to get started.

So there's my birthday wishlist for this year. What do you think of it? Are there any products in it that you have on your wishlist or have already made sure to pick up? And what are you currently lusting after when it comes to all things fashion, beauty and entertainment?
