Just when I think that my love for KIKO Cosmetics can't possibly grow any stronger they go and release the Rebel Romantic limited edition collection. And for me, there has never been a more perfect make-up collection. From the Art Nouveau inspired packaging to the appearance of rose gold and some incredible new product launches, KIKO really have nailed it with this collection and I couldn't wait to share it with you today.
Let's just take a moment to truly appreciate the majesty of this sapphire Metallic Shine Eyeshadow*. I've honestly never seen a more beautiful and unique eyeshadow before. Just look at how gorgeous it is! And talk about pigmented! This shadow is smooth, creamy and spectacularly long-lasting. It's also the perfect pot to carry around with you when you're on the go too. Let's just say, it's already become a staple item in my make-up bag and I've now got my eye on a few of the other five shades available as well. And at £9.90 each I think that I can definitely afford to treat myself to a few more.
As if an individual eyeshadow pot wasn't exciting enough when it comes to the Rebel Romantic Collection, there are also three colourways of the Reckless Spirit Eyeshadow Palette*. Each comprising of one light colour, two medium colours and one dark one, which also has a matte finish, I've found another KIKO product to become completely obsessed with. The shadows, which can either be used wet or dry, allow you to build up some stunningly pigmented and adherent coverage that I honestly can't get enough of. Each individual palette is £12.90 and they all come with a mirror enclosed in the palette as well.
If you've read my blog before then you'll already know how enamoured I am with KIKO's extensive and fantastic range of eyeliners and kajals and these two limited edition shades are no different. And how absolutely stunning are they? As a redhead with blue eyes I absolutely love the way in which both of these colours make my eyes and make-up as a whole, pop. And just like all of the KIKO eyeliners that I've had the pleasure of using up until now, the quality is superb. They are wonderfully creamy, extremely pigmented and last the whole day. Oh and as if that wasn't impressive enough, they also have a concealed sharpener at the end of the pencil. I mean really, what more could you possibly ask for? There are six shades to choose from in the Rebel Romantic collection, each of which cost £5.90.
Now onto the rose gold products. Anyone who knows me knows exactly how much I adore rose gold and copper (is there anyone who doesn't at the moment?), which meant I was practically jumping for joy when I saw both this lipstick and the duo that follows.
The quality of both the packaging and the lipstick itself is unbelievable. If someone was to tell me that this Intensely Lavish Lipstick* cost upwards of £20 I honestly wouldn't bat an eyelid but to find out that it only costs £6.90 really did blow me away. It has a lot of weight to it, which might seem like a strange thing to say but it's not flimsy or cheap feeling at all. It also has a magnetic closure. Now how fabulous is that? Talk about living up to it's name of being Intensely Lavish. And then the lipstick itself is just as luxurious and impressive as the packaging that houses it. The formulation is incredibly creamy and your lips definitely feel nourished when wearing it. I'm definitely tempted to pick up a few more of these as there are six shades to choose from.
As I also mentioned briefly above, the packaging is just absolutely stunning. Rose gold is always going to be a winner in my eyes but what really struck me about the Rebel Romantic collection was the Art Nouveau inspired patterns, writing and overall look of it. I'm already a bit of make-up packaging hoarder but there is no way that I will be throwing any of the packaging from the Rebel Romantic collection away anytime soon/ever.
So what do you think of the look of the latest limited edition collection from KIKO? Will you be placing an order? And are you excited to start the transition back to Autumn/Winter make-up?
