It's Degustabox time again and it's all about the June Picnic Box in today's post. I really do appreciate it when the box is given a theme, even if it's not necessarily a theme that I'm 100% on board with, such as the BBQ Box (link here). But then again, that probably has more to do with the fact that I'm quite the fussy eater and not a huge fan of BBQ's as a result. Nevertheless, this month's box has taken a route down a Picnic path and I was definitely intrigued to see exactly what that would comprise of.
As with every Degustabox review that I do, I have a fantastic and exclusive discount code for you to use to take £3 off the £12.99 price tag. All you have to do is enter the code DHIXQ when you register.
So what exactly does the June Box comprise of, well let's see;
From left to right: Enhance For Water Apple & Blackcurrant - Maui & Sons 100% Pure Coconut Water - Zeo Peach & Grapefruit - Zeo Zesty Lime - Blackcurrant Jele
From left to right: Top Row: PITCH Chocolate Flavour Filled Brioche - Melba Thins Multigrain - PITCH Chocolate Chip Brioche - Coconom Organic Coconut Sugar
Bottom Row: Kallo Sea Salt & Vinegar - Love Chin Chin African Snack - Kallo Belgian Milk Chocolate With Caramel Pieces Rice Cake Thins
I have to admit, this is the first Degustabox which has left me personally really rather underwhelmed. Normally I find myself practically shrieking with excitement and happiness when I open up the box but there was none of that for me this month. I was aware that I wouldn't be receiving any alcohol in my box this month but when I saw what I would be missing out on it left me more than a little disheartened. The 'Product Of The Month' for this month's box, as highlighted in the little info-graphic that you receive in each box, is a bottle of Strawberry Lime Reckorderlig (aka. a cider I've wanted to try for a while now). And then there's a really unique sounding product called ICYCL which appears on the info-graphic too. Obviously both would be missing from the non-alcoholic box but it put a bit of a dampener on the box for me that the 'Product Of The Month' was one that only appeared in one version of June's box.
However, like I mentioned in my review of the May box, just because I wasn't overly impressed with what the box contains isn't to say that it's not a good box in the slightest. The rest of my family, who I share the Degustabox experience with, have yet again found some real favourites and products that they would happily purchase again.
My brother, who is certainly the most health conscious out of the four of us, was so happy to see a couple of coconut related products as well as the Kallo items and his firm favourite Melba Thins. And my parents have been all over the PITCH products. They basically devoured all of them within a few days and the Love Chin Chin pack was gone within seconds too. They really adored the sweet treats in the June box and I do have to say, my favourite product from this month's box has to be the Enhance For Water. It has certainly prompted me to drink more water than ever before this month.
So what do you think of this month's box? Have you tried any of the products featured in May's box before? And have you had a picnic this year?
