Birchbox (June 2015)* £10 (Plus P&P)
As you might remember if you saw last month's Birchbox review (link here), I was blown away by the creative art therapy/adult colouring concept and was pleasantly surprised by the beauty samples included too. So when the June Birchbox arrived at my door I couldn't wait to open it to see exactly where they would be taking the theming next. And as soon as I saw the Breton stripes and pretty red heart design I had a feeling that it was going to be another winner for me. It was also really exciting to see that this month's Birchbox was in partnership with French Sole. I can't be the only one who has been lusting over a pair of French Sole ballet flats for at least a good few years now, now can I?

Bottom Row: Beauty Protector Protect & Detangle (Full Size £14) - Penhaligon's Iris Prima Eau de Parfum (Full Size £88) - Stylondon Metallic Tattoos £7.99
The June Birchbox contains two full sized products, the Pixi by Petra Shea Butter Lip Balm and the Stylondon Metallic Tattoos and four sample sized products. Again, much like last month's box, there is one more beauty sample included in the box than the Birchbox site promises. And then there's another surprise, one I will go into further detail about below but back to the beauty samples themselves.
First of all, I was so happy to see a Pixi by Petra Lip Balm included in this month's box. It's one of those items that I've always wanted to try that I've just never got around to buying and the shade that I received looks really beautiful on the lips. The next thing to catch my eye, when I first opened the box, were the Stylondon Metallic Tattoos. This is a trend that I've been contemplating looking into but I didn't want to fully commit to just in case they looked a bit juvenile on me, so to see them included in the Birchbox was fantastic timing. I've yet to try them out yet but expect an Instagram shot when I do. They really do look chic and stylish, which I definitely appreciate. I've also heard great things about Cowshed and Ren so I'm certainly looking forward to integrating them into my current beauty routine. Then there are two brands that I've never heard of before. Penhaligon's Iris Prima Parfum is incredibly sophisticated and fragrant and at £88 for a full size bottle I wouldn't expect anything less. I'm also always incredibly keen to try out any detangling sprays and products so to see Beauty Protector's Protect & Detangle was nice too. This is a Birchbox Exclusive, a bit like PARLOR by Jeff Chastain was last month, which is a fantastic touch from the Birchbox brand.
And as if all that wasn't enough, tucked at the bottom of the box was the exact same gorgeous Breton stripe design that I fell in love with when I first opened the box but this time in shoe bag form. When I pulled it out to discover that it was in fact a French Sole shoe bag I was honestly over the moon. I've never even thought about purchasing a shoe bag before but it really is ideal for travel or just for keeping a pair of my most special flats in perfect condition. And maybe just maybe, French Sole are giving me a little subtle nudge to buy the flats to match the bag and the box. Hehe. This really did add something incredibly special to the box for me and the fact that it matched the Breton striped Birchbox design really did make me smile.
There are three different limited edition box designs to choose from for the French Sole x Birchbox collaboration box; Breton stripes, watercolour florals and what looks like liquorice allsorts. Who wouldn't want all three?
So what do you think of May's Birchbox? Have you tried any of the products enclosed in this month's box before? Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes? And do you happen to own any shoe bags?
