My Must-Have Trio From Makeup Revolution

My Must-Have Trio From Makeup Revolution Concealer Foundation Pressed Powder Beauty Review Swatches

Unless you've been living under a rock recently, when it comes to reading beauty blogs, I have a feeling that you will have probably seen quite a few reviews of the Makeup Revolution line.
I've already shared my thoughts on their Iconic 3 Palette (review here) as well as their wonderful Vivid Blush Lacquer (review here), so when I found out that they would be releasing a plethora of brand new products I was incredibly excited, to say the least.

Now you might be aware that Makeup Revolution have released some incredible new palettes, which I will be reviewing in July. These palettes aren't just your typical eye shadow palettes as you will soon see. These have all been receiving a great buzz and a lot of exposure recently but I've decided to focus on some of the brand new base products which are welcome additions to the expansive Makeup Revolution range.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Face Base Foundation in 02 Pink Tone Beauty Review

Makeup Revolution Ultra Face Base Foundation in 02 Pink Tone* £3
First up is this incredible foundation. Touted as a BB Cream Foundation, the Ultra Face Base Foundation is seriously impressive. What really impressed me the most was the fact that a shade matched me so well despite it being ordered online. Finding a colour to suit is often a bit of a dilemma even when you visit a store to be colour matched in person but you can easily see a swatch when you go to order this particular foundation on the Makeup Revolution site, which is great.
This foundation is also available in eleven shades which appear to cover a spectrum of skin tones. Can it get any better? It can indeed. These eleven shades are broken down into pink tones, yellow tones, dark tones and mid tones, which means you can get a truly unbelievable match when it comes to this foundation.
Not only that but it's really astounded me when it comes to coverage and longevity. It really is hard to believe that it only costs £3 when it blends as beautifully as it does and matches so well. This definitely is a must-have product from the Makeup Revolution range!

Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer in Fair Beauty Review

Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer in Fair* £2
Next up is the Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer. This is available in six shades and despite being as pale as I am, I went for fair which is the second lightest shade. I might need to pick up the lightest shade, fairest, for the colder months when I get even paler than I am at the moment but for the summer months the slightly darker fair shade will be perfect.
What I really like about this is how incredibly creamy the formula is on the skin. I've been using this to cover the few blemishes which have popped up from nowhere recently and as soon as I blend the concealer the blemishes disappear. It deals exceptionally well with redness too as this shade does have more of yellow tone than the foundation shade does. It's a concealer that leaves the skin looking dewy and fresh, so if you're looking for one which is particularly matte then maybe this might not be the concealer for you. Saying that, I do have a wonderful concealer palette from Makeup Revolution to share with you very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
I now really want to treat myself to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer to see how the Focus & Fix concealer fares in comparison (even despite the £20 difference in prices - eek!)

Makeup Revolution Pressed Powder in Porcelain Beauty Review

Makeup Revolution Pressed Powder in Porcelain* £2
I'm not one to usually carry or use pressed powder on a daily basis but I'm so glad I gave this particular one a try. I personally chose the Porcelain shade but the pressed powders are also available in three other shades; natural, warm and translucent.
First of all, I just have to say, how cool is the design of this product? Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but it also allows the sponge, which is so lovely and soft, to be carried alongside the powder without it having to touch the powder itself. In addition to this, it also has a mirror underneath as well. You only have to peel away the sticker below to reveal a mirror which covers the entire base of the product.

I cannot stress it enough but for only £2, look what you get for your money. It also means you don't need to carry an additional mirror around with you if you are short on space, which I always am when I carry any kind of clutch bag. Hehe.
The powder itself is such a great make-up bag staple and again feels lovely on the skin. This is truly great for those days, mostly during the summer, when you start to look a little shiny or oily throughout the day.

So what do you think of these products? Have you tried any of the new products from Makeup Revolution or any of their base products? If so, what did you think of them? Will you be picking up any of their range soon?
