Ellis Tuesday's Summer Sun-Days: Hair Beauty Review The Wet Brush Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash Lee Stafford Mark Hill

Today I'm sharing my summer hair essentials with you. Along with some of my tips for looking after your hair during the warmer months. Plus as ways to make dealing with dry, tangled or damaged hair a breeze. So let's see what my summer hair essentials are;

The Wet Brush Review Ellis Tuesday's Summer Sun-Days: Hair

The Wet Brush* £11.99

Now I can't believe what I am about to say here. But this is the best hair brush I have ever used! That might seem like a pretty bold statement to make. But you just have to trust me here. For reference, my hair is a bit of a nightmare at the moment. It's very thick, very long, very tangled and normally takes forever to get tangle free. And that's even with using the original Tangle Teezer when I get out of the shower. So this is easily one of my top summer hair essentials.

The first time I used it was one of those Eureka! moments. It just glides through the hair, regardless of how tangled or damaged or long it is. This is now the only brush I let touch my hair when I've just got out of the shower.

It is The Wet Brush. So I only use it when my hair is actually wet. I did think, hmmm maybe I should try this out when my hair is dry. But then it just works like a normal paddle brush. Definitely use it when your hair is wet to experience the actual wonders of this brush.

You can find The Wet Brush at various retailers in the UK and the US.

Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash Review Ellis Tuesday's Summer Sun-Days: Hair

Tangle Teezer Aqua Splash Was £12.50 Now £10

If you saw my Big Savings Haul (link here) then you will have already seen that I picked this up a little while back but it has already become a shower staple for me. I actually bought this before trying out The Wet Brush so now I have two hair brushes which are pretty much vital to my haircare routine.

This is the perfect product to use when you're in the shower. Again, if you are anything like me and have unruly and tangled hair then this is another godsend kind of a product. I personally use this to comb through conditioner and it really works wonders. It's so nice to step out of the shower without your hair being a matted mess.

The design is also fantastic! It's really easy to hold, even when your hands are wet and it can also stand upright in your shower or bathroom cabinet when you're not using it. As it's hollow it means that the water can pass through it easily which also makes it easy to clean after use.

This is a product I definitely recommend picking up this summer if you are looking for a brush or comb to use in the shower which is actually fit for purpose.

Mark Hill MiracOILicious 2 Minute Intensive Treatment Ellis Tuesday's Summer Sun-Days: Hair

Mark Hill MiracOILicious 2 Minute Intensive Treatment* £7.99

Our hair can get a little damaged and dry over the warmer months and this can be especially true if you are exposing your hair to the sun on a daily basis or if you are spending a lot of time in the pool with all that nasty chlorine. (Just mentioning a swimming pool makes me instantly wish I was writing this blog post by the side of a pool with a cold beverage in my hand. Hehe.)

This is an incredibly intensive treatment and the two minute promise really is true. I apply this after shampooing, instead of my usual conditioner once a week, or when needed and only need to leave it on for around two minutes before rinsing it out. You will definitely feel the difference after using this product as your hair just feels so nourished and soft. I also adore the scent of this product. It's just amazing! I would recommend having a little sniff of this the next time you are in Boots. Hehe. This treatment is also ideal if you have overdone the heat styling or your hair has been damaged from colouring it.

I will be reviewing the entire MiracOILicious range from Mark Hill in the next couple of weeks, so if this is a range that you would like to hear more about then be sure to check back to see what I think of the rest of the range, probably at the start of June.

American readers will be happy to know that you can also purchase this product at Walgreen's which is great, as I have noticed quite a few of my readers are from the US.

Lee Stafford Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray Ellis Tuesday's Summer Sun-Days: Hair

Lee Stafford Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray* £7.99

When I think summer hair the first thing that comes to my mind are beachy waves. I've found myself searching for a good sea salt spray, which doesn't cost the earth, every summer to no real avail until I discovered this wonderful product.

Not only can it be used on towel dried hair, either when you are blow drying the hair or letting it dry naturally (which is my personal preference) but you can also apply it to dry hair as well. It doesn't leave your hair crunchy or sticky either, which is what I tend to worry about when trying a spray that promised to give my hair texture. It also works really well on frizzy hair too which was surprising. My hair has been really pretty frizzy and unruly lately yet this gives my hair proper curls and waves again. I always regret straightening my naturally curly hair to within an inch of it's life when I was in my teens!

It sure does make me feel like I have just stepped out of the sea and let my hair dry naturally (even though I'm only stepping out of a shower in a rain soaked Scotland. Hehe).

Lee Stafford Sun Kissed Lightening Spray Ellis Tuesday's Summer Sun-Days: Hair

Lee Stafford Sun Kissed Lightening Spray* £7.99

Now this is one of those products that I never even knew existed.

My mum has been the guinea pig for this one as, believe it or not, I have never coloured my hair. Since my hair is naturally auburn I never feel the need to. In the summer it naturally lightens to more of a golden/strawberry blonde and in the winter it darkens to a darker shade of auburn. This has saved me plenty of trips to the hairdressers or the salon and so could this little bottle. It boasts four looks in one bottle, meaning you can either lighten your hair all over, try out the ombré trend, touch up roots or highlight selected strands or sections. All you have to do is spray the product on to wet hair and then blow dry. It's that easy! It may take a couple of times to achieve your ideal look but trust me, it really is worth it.

My mum is now sporting suitably lighter summer locks and it has definitely put her off going to the hairdressers to get her highlights done.

So those are my summer hair essentials.

What products are essential for you when it comes to getting your hair summer ready? Have you tried any of these products? If so, what do you think of them?
