Bioderma Atoderm Very Dry Skin Cream

Bioderma Atoderm Very Dry Skin Cream* £11.68

Bioderma is a brand that I have always wanted to try ever since I first saw the Sensibo H2O micellar waters saturate the blogosphere all those years ago but I never thought I'd be able to get my hands on any of their products here in the UK. Whilst I might not be able to pop down to my local Boots or Superdrug store and physically pick up their products, there are a couple of amazing retailers which do stock the French pharmacy brand. One of these wonderful retailers is Farmaline, a pharmacy based in Beligium.

After the lovely Phlippe from Farmaline got in touch to ask if I wanted to try anything from their website I couldn't believe that I was finally going to be able to try Bioderma. One product that I really wanted to try, above and beyond the rest of the Bioderma range, was the Atoderm Very Dry Skin Cream.

The reason I was so excited to try out this product in particular was because my skin was really in dire need of moisture and care and the fact that this product is designed for those with very dry skin immediately made me want to give this a shot.

In the past couple of weeks and months, the skin on my hips has been particularly and uncharacteristically sore. It basically felt like a burning sensation and as though I could feel my skin being stretched but there were no signs of dryness or stretch marks which left me thinking, "what on earth is going on with my skin?" As you can imagine, I was very interested in putting an end to the discomfort and pain I had been experiencing so this cream couldn't have arrived at my door quick enough.

Now I'm going to make a pretty bold statement here and I feel like I'm cheating on Soap & Glory's The Righteous Butter by saying this but this is genuinely the best moisturiser I have ever tried. Pretty bold I know but I feel like I've found one of those products that I now can't go without. In just under a month it has completely relieved me of the burning sensation on my hips and that area is the smoothest and silkiest that it has ever been. Other parts of my body like my legs and arms are now relatively scale free.
This cream immediately sinks into the skin, giving a real cooling quality and isn't slimy or greasy at all. This for me makes it number one in my books when it comes to what I've tried so far moisturiser wise.

The scent is very subtle and doesn't linger on the skin too long which I actually quite liked considering I was applying this cream rather generously. If I had applied that much cream from other brands of moisturiser with more fragrance, let's just say it would have been really pretty overpowering in terms of scent.

All I can think now is what can I try next from Bioderma? I think I may need pick up a few more pieces from the Atoderm range of products soon.

Are you a fan of Bioderma? What products have you tried and which ones do you recommend from their range?
