Nails Inc Nail Polish Diary: January

Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Top Coat

January’s polish is the best-selling and award winning Kensington Caviar 45 second top coat.

I have to admit, I was initially a little disappointed to find the Kensington Caviar top coat as the first polish in my Nail Diary. Now, this was only because I already own this top coat and rather selfishly I would have preferred to find a colour or special effect polish in its place. However, if you are new to Nails Inc or don’t own a reliable top coat then this really is a polish that you need to own.

It truly does live up to the touch dry in 45 seconds claim, as well as evening out any smudges or mistakes that I’ve made. I often skip the application of a top coat, which I ultimately regret as I can notice a definite difference in the longevity of whatever brand of nail polish I’m wearing under the Kensington Caviar top coat.

Since it’s the New Year, I’m going to attempt to always remember to apply this top coat this year. Perhaps this is why it’s the January polish… hmm…

Have you tried this top coat? Do you use a top coat after applying your favourite polishes?

    1. Thank you very very much! :)
I'm heading over to your blog right away!

  3. I recently just bought this top coat with the matching base coat! I do really like it but I've noticed on lighter shade polishes, I can see it hasn't dried clear and I can see pink on some areas! I wish it was completely clear :)

    1. I wish it was clear too as it does sometimes leave a pinky tone to the nail polish I'm putting it over. It definitely does alter the colour but normally it is only very slightly. :)

Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment. I really appreciate, read and reply to every single one of them. If you would rather contact me via twitter (@ellistuesday) or by email ( then I will get back to you as soon as I can.
